Challenger, and every mirror ship we've seen, (inc Miranda's) they could be a lt.cmdr or capt Miranda. Oh, and the freedom, curry, Niagara, raven, whorfin, and surak. Oh and- ill leave it at that for now.....
Two weapon types will always be more inefficient than a single weapon type. Pretty much the only way you'd get 3 DHCs+Torp to be better than 4 DHCs would be for the torp to have it's damage boosted considerably.
An updated modern version of the Star Empire dreadnaught with a Photonic cloak/ Multiple decoy console.. (Just like the original had) when activated the ship uses an external photonic projection system to make it Blend into the surrounding space essentially (cloaking without using a cloak) and displaying 4 photonic duplicates to fool and decoy enemy ships. they fire and manouver as if real.. (however doing no actual damage) The console would have two modes.... decoy or cloak. 45000 hull 4/4 weapons slots and a second console to adapt all beam weapons to fire an overload pulse also much like the original ship. nice new dread.....

and something like This but with 2 hangers for combat pets and 1 hangers for repair pet, one big overkill earthbuild and design battlecarrier with Phaser Spinal Lance, 5 Fore Weapons 4 Aft Weapons and with reverse engineering klingon battle cloak USS Ronald Raygun Class
What i am missing in STO is a new kind of Starfleet ship breed, away from STOs stationary and too passive (mostly) cruisers and away from the nimble annoying Escorts.
No need to be able to equip DHCs or hangar pets, just one Lt.Cmdr (or Cmdr) tactical among with a high survivability BOFF layout (maybe something like the Elachi Monbosh for example) and more than 3 tactical consoles.
It doesn't need to have a super high turn rate, something between 10 an 14 would be sufficient for me. (i hate ships that tend to oversteer all the time.)
A cool gimmick would be to give it something similar like the Romulan singularity core abilities, just for its Phaser weapons.
The ship type i wish i could have would be more like a Cruiser/Escort hybrid like Cryptic has announced more than a year ago*, but so far no Starfleet ship like that (besides the 300 $ chimera) on the horizon.
*well, i belive they said there where more coming.
It should continue the dsign like of the intrepid/starcruiser, especially the Avenger Star Cruiser design line. I think it's a shame Cryptic gave up on creating more futuritic looking starfleet ships like that, and making that fat Odyssey instead.
And please no oversized nacelles like the Excelsior/Sovereign/Odyssey design line. (i just like flowing lines and wide ships, but i hate the "fat" look of the Odyssey and Excelsior for example. )
Whats your "dream" Starfleet ship for STO?
No matter if it's canon, just something reasonable you have made up.
But please no Carrier/Escorts with 7 DHCs.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I still think that's one great looking ship. It's a runner up for the design the next Enterprise compo, this I think looks much better than the odywhale we have now.
Quick Q why can't the devs use the runner up designs for future ships they where are realy good quality?

I want to see "Nebula/Miranda" versions of the Excelsior Class, Sovereign Class and the Odysee.
By that I mean that the Nebula and the Miranda basically look like the Galaxy or Constitution classes without an engineering hull and then some kind of roll bar with mission module. I think it would be a logical continuation of canon if this was also applied to other "Enterprises".
Going by the Nebula, these might be Science Cruisers with a strong engineering bend.
You could go even further and also apply this for the Constellation class - it looks like a Constitution saucer with 4 constitution nacelles. Applying that also for the Excelsior, Galaxy and Sovereign might be interseting.
Miranda/Constitution=Nebula/Galaxy=Centaur/Excelsior=Luna/Sovereign, I do not believe that an equivalent for the Odyssey has been released yet.
That 3 hangared carrier is all I want in this game. I would pay a solid 50-75 bucks for that ship if I had to but it would be amazing. I would give up every ship I own for one of these.
Stats: 50k hull
Shield modifier 1.05
Tac Stations LTC
Eng Stations Com
Sci stations LTC
Turn rate: 5-7 (to compensate for the high amount of hull and shields)
Special Console: Phaser Spinal Lance Point Defense. Console that hits up to 8 enemies in a 5 km radius with a Spinal Lance. (Weaker then the one on the Dreadnought).
Hangars: Valkryie Fighters. (Would have same amount of Health as a Runabout but do 50% more damage) (can only be used on this carrier)
Obviously I know it'll never happen because it is someone else's intellectualy property. Though if the owner of it is reading please consider letting them put this ship in the game.
Also, I really don't want to start a fight on the internet but I can't stay quiet about something like this. How the hell can anyone think that the Jupiter is a good ship. I think it looks like TRIBBLE.

The lovechild of the Galaxy and Sovereign class. One of my favorite fan designs.
No offense but, ugh.
The point of the Galaxy design was that she was wide and majestic looking. That made her unique it made the saucer the prominent part of the ship.
These changes make her just another Sovereign clone and ruin everything that made the Galaxy unique. Sovereign, Luna and Odyssey (STO) design look ugly enough in my opinion, please leave the Galaxy alone!
Idk, why do all ships nowadays have to look so elongated in the first place?
That's totally uncreative and boring IMO.
EDIT:
What have they done with the nacelles?
The whole ships looks totally deformed and streched like a bubble gum.
Achilles Class

Wow, i like the Achilles and first and foremost the Insignia.

100% Agreed about the Jupiter.

For my money, I want the New Orleans class. It's basically got the standard cruiser layout typified by the various Enterprises, but its proportions are rather unique. While the New Orleans proper is just a kitbash, I think a 2409 skin designed from the ground up as a coherent starship could look damn pretty.
I also want a 2409 Prometheus and a 2409 Luna. The Tempest gave me hope, but with T6 becoming a thing I'm starting to doubt I'll ever get these...
I'd rather have the Nebula prototype. the secondary set of warp nacelles sounds like it could make a cool clickie power. And it'd look drasticly different from the regular Neb.
I'd like the Constellation class to be added. It's an ugly SOB, but it's probably the most distinctive canon ship still missing from the game. Hopefully won't be an endgame ship, though.
The Jupiter and Typhoon should be added as T5 ships (after a massive revamp of the models, of course). Wouldn't mind seeing this as an alternate skin for the latter.
Would love to see the Merian-class added to the Light Cruiser line, as an alternate skin option if nothing else.
Above all else, though, I just want some ships that look Starfleet in design. The Dyson ships were interesting, but that's not an aesthetic I want to see any more of. The Odyssey and its successors look pretty decent as 2409 ships; let's stick with that aesthetic for the time being.

First version would be a T3 Vessel for Commanders. Fitting, as that was "Taggart's" rank. Here's how I imagine its stats:
Type: Sci/Cruiser hybrid
Lt Commander Sci
Lt Tac
Lt Eng
Ens Universal
HP: 20,000
Shields (with Mk6 white shields): 4284
Shield Modifier: 1.15
Weapons: 3 Fore, 2 Aft. Can equip single cannons.
Device Slots: 3
Consoles: 1 Tac, 2 Eng, 2 Sci
Turn Rate: 11
Bonus power: +5 all Power levels, + an additional 5 to Aux
Abilities: Sensor Analysis, Strategic Maneuvering. Can equip the Tipler Cylinder/Temporal Backstep console (to imitate the Omega 13 effect)
Then I guess there's be a T5/Fleet version just cuz.
Actually already ingame but i'd still LOVE to play both of them, Jupiter and Typhoon, the forgotten Battleships
Also, some more Federation-Member-Species' ships would be very much appreciated (Tellarite, ...)

I like this a lot. perhaps make this a full t6 upgrade for the galaxy class? have a dreadnought version of it as well?
For some reason the Klingon design reminds me more of a Cardassian ship.
