Since you say that posts based on ignorance and misinformation should not be given the same consideration for the sake of fairness (as compared to posts based on fact and reality), would you then say that such posts end up being counter-productive to discussion and should be removed entirely in order to keep constructive dialogue on track and not mired in attempts to correct or educate the ignorant?

No, because some people do actually learn that they're wrong and admit to it, some even edit their posts. Now yes, that is VERY few and far in-between but also moderating all those posts would take an entire team of mods to handle. Now as another method, perhaps a down like post type system to where if it hits a threshold, the post isn't shown unless you click to view it or just hidden from everyone but moderators for evaluation. That I think would be the best way to go about it because honestly we just don't have the man power.

But in a perfect world yes, misinformation would be taken care of to make sure that players had the latest and ACCURATE information as it helps new players as well.

I think a downvote type system would be awesome, personally. I know I would likely get a lot of use out of that.

    Probably more than a lot.

    Do you PvP?
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

I have on occasion done PvP. A lot of times it's been in private matches with friends which I know won't take anything seriously, but I have jumped in queue's before and just pugg'd it. As of late not as much but that's just due to time constraints.

Would you be interested in going through PvP Bootcamp? Never had a forum moderator go through it before. It'd be a nice hurrah as part of the next (and possibly final) class.

Oh? I thought it had only gone through once. I've heard absolutely nothing about it since I applied for the first one back in the day. :o

There's been a bunch, usually about three rounds every year. Turnout since the first one has been on the decline, as players and coaches alike find themselves with a lot of other work (grinding) or situations than back then.

    And Mimey... final? What? :(

    Lol No...

In a more serious note, (btw you can still answer the question above)

From 1 - 10, what would you rate STO at its current state, and why...
Any other games (besides STO) you play?
What do you like to do outside STO?

Actually love the fleet I'm in which most know who I am and are chill enough to not publicize it. Been with them for awhile and they're a good group of people to hang out with.

I never rate any game a 10. There is ALWAYS room for improvement, but STO I'd rate a 6. Honestly I'd love to see more missions put in that aren't grinding. The BZ's are fun, but after doing them a bunch of times it does get boring.

I play a lot of other games, some with my husband lol. TOR is one of our next favorites, Watch Dogs for PS3 is the biggie, COD Black Ops 2 (Wanna try ghosts and the new one coming out), Dragon Age (waiting for inquisition hehe) and little games like hopsital tycoon, school tycoon etc just because they don't require much thought.

Outside of STO I actually like spending time with friends and family, building apps for android systems, ice skating (even though last time i broke ribs lol), tubing, swimming and that's about it. Sadly though my time is mostly spent at home :(

Sure! :) When the bootcamp starts up again I'll plop down and dedicate some time to it and if you're willing to help me keep my name out of the view of tons of people I'd appreciate it.

I'm sorry to hear that... Have you ever tried Snowboarding??? I personally wanna try Ice Skating, but I have the fear of doing a wrong move and having the blade chop me arm, other leg even a part of me body... that Is why I do snowboarding... and I tell you it is quite fun... :)

I used to snowboard a lot actually but I had to stop due to money issues lol. Plus, I now live in cali (near Sacramento) so snow is kinda non existent. There is lake tahoe and I had the chance to board this year but again, money :( Ice skating isn't that bad actually and it's not easy thats for sure. The biggest thing you gotta realize is you WILL fall and for all that is holy FALL BACKWARDS!

And don't fall forwards catching air in the process and land on the ice. It does not give lol, everyone was kinda shocked I didn't walk away with a concussion as I hit my head too.

That I can promise indeed. I can make sure that your @handle isn't shown or known.

The first class should be sometime this month. Keep an eye on the Bootcamp sub-forum over the next couple weeks.

Yeah yeah yeah... lol I honestly haven't seen blade runner in god knows how long, ghostbuster was a couple of years back...apparently I need to watch them again.

Epohhs are cute and cuddly, and I say it E-pOh.

Epohh is a Rihan word which means "pet." It is pronounced EH-poj (the [j] is pronounced as in Spanish). The plural is Epohhir, pronounced eh-POJ-eer (again, the Spanish [j]).

Speaking of Rihan, do any of the Mods play Romulan characters? Whether the answer be "yay" or "nay," are the Mods afraid of Rihannsu and this is the reason you guys don't visit the Romulan Gameplay forum much? If that be not the reason for the dearth of Mod visitations to the Romulan Gameplay forum, then what is?

Uh yeah I have a romulan character. As for why I don't visit every forum on this board, it's because there are 37 public forums, about 20+ more hidden and luckily only..3 ish of them have new posts on an ill-regular basis (due to a lot of them being archives etc).

I just don't get into it often *shrugs*

The only reason that I ski instead of board is because I hate the idea of having to clamp my feet back in every time I get off the chairlift. Plus it has never really interested me that much.
