Hmm ami I the only one affraid we will spend more time running around SD than doing those things we came to do? I mean currently you have everything more or less at one place and it takes only a fes seconds to get from the exchange to the bank to the equipment seller. As I see it now, it will take more time and travelling around.

There are Mail and Bank consoles in the shipyard, ops, the Requisitions area and the Exchange.

    So very little running around.

It is faster to get between places because you have mostly straight lines you can run, instead of going around like in the current version.

If the club was mentioned a few more times this thread could qualify as a 50 Cent song.

The Club is scheduled, so I hope to do that.

The stateroom was essentially cut, I would have no problem readding it either to ESD or SFA given the time to do so.

I haven't thought about K7 or SB39. DS9's Promenade is my next windmill.

What's the status on updating ESD NPC uniforms? Still going with those old Sierra-style uniforms, or perhaps a more modern Odyssey-style?

Last I saw on Tribble, a lot of them had Ody uniforms; all black with the department color on the "stripe."

Just logged off of Tribble. I saw a grand total of ONE NPC wearing the Odyssey uniform, and he was standing next to the Transporter Chief. Who curiously is lower ranked than the Operations officer next to him.

The uniform styles vary wildly throughout the new ESD. Was hoping to see a more "uniform" look to the NPCs, as a final touch-up to improve both the look and feel of ESD. Also, the mannequins around the Tailor Shop are still displaying the TOS uniforms.

I would like it while they are redesigning stuff if they redesign it where they allow the klingon dagger and the TOS Klingon disruptor pistol to be usable by the KDF. I'd take that over redesigning that Klingon base that I never go too :P

Guess you didn't go into Sickbay or the "Club"

There are 10 in the club. 3 in Sickbay

There is one down in Ship Requistions

Another one standing next to some plants below the Transporter pad.

The "Independent Transport Captain" is wearing one for some reason.

Funny, because I've seen NPC's with the Sierra uniform, the Odyssey uniform, and even a few with the Academy uniform.

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Aquarius_Destroyer

so the wiki matches the in-game stats except for the device slots

    Aquarius Destroyer Tier:5
    Type:Escort
    Hull: 24,000/26,400 Fleet
    Standard Shields:3,449 (Mk X)
    Shield Modifier: 0.85
    Weapons: Fore 4 Aft 2
    Crew: 50
    Bridge Officers:
    XXXX , TRIBBLE , XX, XX , X
    Device Slots: 2
    Consoles:
XXXX , TRIBBLE, XX or XXXX , XXXX, XX for fleet
    Turn Rate: 17
    Impulse Modifier: 0.15
    Inertia rating: 80
    Bonus Power: +15 weapons power

It was stated numerous times when the Breen Plesh Brek came out that the Aquarius was not a raider, players assuming that would be changed is a personal error.

Frankly the biggest problem is the shield mod bump that to 1.0 for standard/1.1 for fleet and maybe bump the impulse mod up looks like it would work fine. But opinions may vary.

The new ESD looks good, though it also looks a bit smaller and compact. Though that might be due to the old ESD was just one big circle. It will be interesting to see what happens when we fit a zone full of players into the area.

A thought crossed my mind, (and it doesn't do so often I might add), but I was thinking that instead of The Club's standard house techno playing over and over again, It's too bad we can't pipe subspace radio in there. Does the tech even exist to do this?

That would be kinda cool me thinks.

It's definitely more compact in terms of being able to get around, but taco has shown us that it's pretty close to the same size.

I was under the impression named contacts still wear their same old costume, some officers wear the odyssey and then some the old Sierra. Those are enlisted in my mind.

Actually I think the ones that appear to be acadamy are actually the missing Odyssey variant( you can tell because of the departmental cuff stripe and the placement of the rank pips, academy are around the neck, and the ones on ESD run along the colour stripe , some of the NPCs are also wearing the missing Belt see here for referance https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=odyssey+uniform+variants&safe=off&rlz=1C1GIGM_enGB566GB566&es_sm=93&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=FeBNU8HuD6jX7Aa0kIGgBg&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1440&bih=775#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=JjCsSSzZr2kIyM%253A%3BcA1mVbtYEEW8RM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.unimatrix-sto.net%252FUSERIMAGES%252Funiform1.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fsto-forum.perfectworld.com%252Farchive%252Findex.php%252Ft-542511.html%3B400%3B400

Also ( taking a bit of a leap based on what the foundry has) the 'contacts' have editied specific uniforms, and some of these appear to have been changed intentionally
But the random mobs that just wonder around the station are just the standard random seirra uniforms i think , like your Ship interior crew

Theres also some inconsistancy, one Captain I found wore an Ody version that had a white upper section ( same as mine, and the ody advert pics ) where the others around the club entrance had all black/dark blue uniforms

I'd have much preferred one of the multi-floored models of ESD, if only the game engine would allow for teleportation within a scene/level/world without stupid, immersion-breaking loading screens popping up every time.

FINALLY it looks like we will no longer will have to take the long, painstaking turbo lifts to shipyard or walk in circles trying finding the exchange or the bank. :D:D:D:D

Better ever then never , but really why did you need 4 yrs to come up with good design for ESD ?
Is it possible for you to rework all other stations and other factions ?
In the beginning there was all and then become nothing

I AM PISSED OFF AFTER 3 YRS. I STILL CAN'T USE OR CHANGE OR DELETE OUTFIT IN 3 OF 5 OUTFIT SLOTS ON MY KLINGON TOON !

The old design was its own awesome self... for the awesome old days. Seriously, I loved it when I first joined STO. And certain areas, and their warmth, I will likely miss a bit. But everything simply looks more slick now (colder too, though). All-in-all, I think the new ESD is a great improvement; but that doesn't mean the old one was bad.

I'd disagree. The old one had the issue of extremely bad scaling (seriously, it was proooobably 1/100th too small for the area it supposedly covered). Its layout wasn't functional, either, as you had to run around in a giant circle or change maps twice to get to anything. Everything in it also looked really, really plasticy.

None of these are the case in the new version, which despite being Star Trek-y, actually looks somewhat real.

And I think signs of life, however many players roaming about, will make it look even more realistic.
