Did you really post on your OWN THREAD over FOUR THOUSAND times???
I was looking at your thread until I realize that the entirety of the posts are by you or your own fleet members.
Why would you do that?
I think its funny but a lot of players are gonna think its kinda creepy. Just some advice.
Maybe start a new thread without 4k+ posts by yourself?
Hello Xaosmg123,
I'm sorry that you find our community advertising itself on ESD to be 'funny' and/or 'creepy'. As a community which was established way back in 2002 it's perhaps understandable that we have such a large post count.
To answer your question; our members post in the Fleet Administrative Station so as to make it easy for potential members to locate us and consider joining our community.
I hope that allays any of your concerns over our policy in regards to bumping this thread.
If you need any information or would like to discuss anything else about our community then feel free to drop me a message.

Just to add onto what Dentari has said, You'll find that the Earth Spacedock forum is for advertising your fleet/group/community and that is exactly what we and many other fleets do.
You'll also see that quite a number of replies are from people who may have questions about the community, or may simply post here showing their interest in joining, to then later on submit an application and join.
It's nearly the weekend which mean's it is nearly time for the UFP's second HOLIDAY EVENT of 2014 and given that it is our second event we've decided to make it a two day double event!
This weekend will play host to ANCESTOR'S WEEKEND, a time of reflection in honour of those that have come before us, a time when we can share stories of our own personal ancestry and relive the exploits of some famous faces from the past.
Bribes of cookies aside the UFP does offer many great benefits to its members!
-Run weekly events with a dedicated team of Event Officers, with support for various timezones
-Support for both Fed and Klingon characters
-Very active in-game and in TeamSpeak (always someone to chat to)
-Support for vintage/classic Star Trek games such as Star Trek: Bridge Commander
-> we now also support popular Star Trek mods for non-trek games
-Run an emerging Star Trek News Service
-Always up for playing non-STO/Non-Star Trek games (you can never have enough variety!)
-We are friendly, approachable and always looking for new members
The UFP certainly has a lot to offer prospective new members; the following is a brief run down of what the United Federation of Planets has to offer:
- Very active STO community, spread across several in-game fleets.
- An unparalleled social aspect, expect to form many lasting friendships.
- TeamSpeak 3 for ease of verbal communication
- Access to a beautiful website and forums.
- Many exciting news articles for members, by members.
- A scheduled event system with many recurring and unique events running daily!
- Support for non-STO Trek/Misc gaming
- Opportunity for administrative involvement and advancement.
This list is by no means comprehensive, there are many more perks of joining our flourishing Star Trek community.
How do I join the UFP fleet here? Just post my in-game name here? Or on your forums? (I'm registered there now) Is there any particular procedure with this?
Just in case - Isis@proteusblack (Female Vice Admiral Federation Human)
It's rare to find a fleet that is both active AND has a real history behind it. The UFP has been exploring the worlds of Trek gaming since 2002. You'd think that many years might have slowed things a bit but there are always plenty of activities.
Aside from the regularly scheduled PvE, PvP and RP events, we've also got UFPAC coming up on the 29th. The event is held roughly every 3 months and awards members with rank advancements, as well as medal achievements. It is also used as an opportunity to announce important events or discussions within the UFP and allows members at the end of the event to have the floor should they wish to bring any subject forward with the community and/or the present members of the Federation Executive Office.
While it sounds a little dry, it's actually a lively event with lots of good cheer and camaraderie. So, stop by the UFP website and sign up today!
