I confirm, I usually dl around 1.5 mb per sec, and this is something like 1kb with freezing, and then reconnects or starts over. Started today, usually it is fine. EU country.

How about getting STO its OWN SERVER. Its not like you dont have millions that you bleed out of us just laying around in a bank account somewhere.
Im sure you can afford a new server rack for STO. And at this rate, you wont even need a big server, what with all the people about to walk out due to your crappy service.
I could moan about how crappy their servers are, and how sick and tired i am of waiting hours and hours for the patches to download and take up even more disk space. But i really cannot be bothered any more. I'm in no way a tech head, and have no idea how servers work, but c'mon seriously? Enough is enough.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Well I agree, the launcher is indeed acting very very funky. It'll connect and then there's no server status which says to me that it isn't REALLY connected. Even worse, there's no notification on the website about this. So if you try signing in, your first thought is "shoot is there something wrong on my end?"
A lot of us just went through that really big bad storm last night, and I'm expecting a lot of slow downs today from servers. The storm may be over but downed power lines and lots of flooding will keep us busy for a bit.
Wishful thinking or not,will we get any compensation for these frequent foul ups whenever a patch is being downloaded???
Perhaps its time cryptic/pwe started spending money on decent reliable servers,then no more problems perhaps.
and now the patch server isn't even up.... but don't be dismayed... just open 1000 instances of the game they are all going to crash then send 1000 blank bug reports, at least it will give u something to do in the 2 hours you had to play games today.
