Flickering on DX11 High "Shadows" effect on an, "ATI Radeon HD 5900 Series" with "Catalyst 12.8" drivers and is very apparant when viewing a Odyssey with a maco shield.

If i lower the "Shadows" setting to Low it goes away, but i should not need to lower it with that GFXcard

:D

Anyone else having any bloom lighting issues on Nvidia 570 GTX?

Since the last update I'm seeing flickering bloom lighting. The effect seems to be far worse in space. The Nacels on my ship and everyone elses flickers constantly. All I ran yesterday was CGE and for the most part it was fine but I did notice the occasional flicker here and there on various objects and textures effected by bloom. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary on the Earth Starbase however.

I've reset the client settings to various different presets with no solution. The only real solution at this point is to turn bloom off. The problem instantly goes away. I've also done a complete check of the STO files via the launcher and also checked over Windows and Direct X to make sure everything is where it should be and nothing more. STO client is set to default High setting with Ambient Occlusion turned OFF and VSYNC ON. What I haven't done is update to the latest Nvidia drivers.

For reference I'm running Nvidia 285.62 Drivers. If anyone else is seeing this problem on these drivers please let me know.

    Nvidia System Information

NOTE: Same problem with both DX9 and DX11

UPDATE: Problem is caused by MACO Shield Visuals on my Sovereign. Upon further inspection some of the set item visuals have been updated. Right click item and select disable visual effect if your having problems.

Looks like some of the bridges have also had their lighting updated. My Prometheus bridge lighting looks better. The bloom intensity has been reduced at least. Looks much better now even with it reduced to 70% already.

I have been having trouble with the shadows on my ship flickering while im moving, I understand the shadows wil change while i move but this is getting rediculus. It used to be barely noticable but recently its gotten worse. ( the shadows only flicker on my ships hull ) I have tried lowering the shadow quality, but that just makes it even worse.

    system specs
    AMD phenom II X6 1100T @ 3.3 GHz
    8gb ram
    radeon HD 6870 1gb of GDDR5
    675 watt power supply

My video card usually runs at around 60 degrees celcius with my own custom settings
and 70 to 75 degrees C. when I put the slider to the max video setting on the in game menu.

I checked the frame rate, changing it does not help, i keep it at 30 fps.
screen refresh rate is the same as my monitors, 60 Hz

screen res is 1400 X 1050 this is not the max res my monitor supports, however it is the res that I feel looks the best. I have tried different resolutions but that does not help.

I have gone through the entire list of devices in device manager and all drivers are up to date.

If anyone could help that would be great thanks.
