Long Term:
Rail-Driver support. (just kidding, I don't have a long-term suggestion in mind yet)
1. Sort term: Allow Captains to change their 4 ground/space skills. These are the first things a player chooses when they know nothing about the game. Its kind of sadistic to make them stuck with these if they don' contribute to the player's play style.
2. mid term. make an app for ipad to do duty officer assignments only. It's possible to calculate how long the average ship, or even the player's specific ship can travel from one location to another. A calculation and countdown by the app, or server could ensure fairness in wait time, by adding a travel time timer. This would allow people to play more, and keep system requirements down. It would bring in more players as a gateway to the game. If players will play Vampire wars on facebook, they will surely play sto.
3. Long term. more story lines / episodes. Sure the foundary helps, but the foundary does not provide awards and special items, which help to make missions replayable. You could even have best mission contests, allow for special prizes to be given, and tweek the good stuff and make it official. for example, if you get an original storyline, have the professionals clean it up, and make it an episode.
Short term - More Duty officer content.
Personally I play for the peaceful parts of the game, diplomacy, exploration, the DOFF system, trading. You know, the core Star Trek stuff. It adds to the feeling you're actually in this universe. :P
Mid term - Commodity trading. Imagine using your Tuffli or D'kora to actually be a merchant!
Being a Ferengi privateer looting those pesky federation and klingon freighters floating around the home sectors and selling the ill gotten loot back on Ferenginar. Or Shipping Gagh from Qo'nos to DS9 so the klingons wont tear up the station.
Long term - Playable Cardassian faction!
Contrary to popular belief, there's alot of us Niners who play, mainly wishing for some day to be able to play as a Cardassian without using the Alien creator. :P
It's my biggest dream, ever since I started playing this game, those both of the players and of the staff who are devoted trekkies would understand this

Active Duty Switching: It's neat that BOFFs remember which station on the bridge they should report to when you switch ships. You'd have to add some kind of warning message though if a player tries to send one of those "other ship" officers off on an Assignment.

Admiral Sponsored Colonies: a pet project for Admirals. Give admirals their very own colony (or more) out in the clusters to look after and grow.
Each day a colony generates a specific set of Colony Resources which trickle in and are imperative for that colony's survival and growth.
Through tending to Situations - missions that require players to rectify some setback that threatens to stymie the growth of the colony - Admirals will feel they are personally responsible in making a continuing difference to peoples' lives in some small corner of the galaxy. Resolving these Situations for good or ill would buff or debuff the growth rate of an effected Colony Resource, resulting in the colony growing faster or bringing it to a standstill and requiring further involvement on behalf of the Admiral. (It would be a nice flourish if Admirals could feel the deaths of their colonists through having certain vendors and personalities perish and be replaced with each catastrophic outcome)
Optionally: Actions by competing factions might impact the growth of colonies making for more personal investment in diplomatic roleplay/PvP/PvE combat.
Colony Resources could also drop during any mission, making for more surprises in the loot system. (and/or they could be added as a completion reward option to existing missions)
These Colonies, once sufficiently grown, would of course contribute a boon to players making the whole endeavor worthwhile... A little extra bank space? buffs? Colony DOFF Assignments? a trickle of EC/data samples/cargo ship resources/refined or unrefined dilithium?
Optionally: As each sponsored colony grows its populace could discover some hidden characteristic that is unique to the planet they have settled, making it fun for Admirals to finally learn what surprise their colonists have unlocked and whether that discovery is merely a benign (but cool-looking) feature, benefits its sponsor in some small way, or threatens all life as we know it.
1. New music for the Log-In screen. This military tam-tam reminds me of WWII music. We know there are wars in the STO Universe but not everone of the players is looking for a fight. There are also a lot of explorers around.
Or at least give us a few different BGMs to select from.
____________________________
2. How about making Set-Items with lower level MKX tradable, or at least exchangeable?
I think that most of the players who grind for the Rep System are heading anyhow towards MKXI and MKXII level items. Making MKX items sellable would be a nice benefit and the players wouldn't need to dismiss the items.

Pretty sure the music is changed on the tribble server along with a new log in screen so you're in luck!
Short Term: Server Stability. A game this mature simply should not have issues like this.
Mid Term : A greater balance of "ways to play" for the different sides.
For example, I find my Klingons have heavy incentive in the form of quests to embark on combat missions in both PvP and the Pi-Canis patrol, when dilithium gathering time comes. My federation characters have the more accessible quests of these nature simply unavailable. The same holds true the other direction as well, my federation characters have a far and away more robust variety of things to do, particularly in the context of non combat related activity.
The good news is that this sort of thing seems to be directly addressed with the coming expansion.
Long Term : Polish. Like, for super serious. It amazes me that the weekly maintenance, which often includes a client side patch, rarely includes any polish of existing content. A few examples that make a game feel polished, contributing to customer retention:
1. Carreya system, Romulus reputation radiation satellite. When you get the notification, when starting the mini game, the word "transfer" is missing the "f"--reads "transer". Not game breaking, not going to hurt anything, but looking at it for months on end makes a person feel like they are dealing with idiots, or at the very least careless slobs. A fix that would take minutes at most and add mere bytes to a client side patch.
Spelling and other minor errors happen, leaving things like this for long periods of time is just slovenly.
2. More involved, but still polish. Stop making my ship come to "all stop" every time I initiate a hail or use my departmental bridge officer missions! When traveling from point A to point B, am I to believe that in the middle of deep space my communication systems, including in-ship communication, diverts all the power from my warp engines? If so, let me head on down to the radio shack and get my officers some walkie talkies and a few boxes of AA batteries, they have no such problem. If you workaround this by restarting the movement manually, you shut off the auto-pilot to destination--which means a gross overshoot if you take a few seconds longer than you wanted to.
Travel as a time sink is a necessary evil of MMO play. Excessive travel time due to lack of polish, again, just appears slovenly.
3. More robust search engine on exchange. Booleans would be nice. Allowing a proper search that gives ACCURATE results without first finding a proper category would be nice. Separate areas for Klingon, Federation, and the coming Romulan are necessary for things like bridge and duty officers.
The list of nice to have features goes on, but you get the idea----the exchange needs polish.
4. SAVE THE UI WHEN A SHIP SWITCH HAPPENS. Any minor build change results in hotbars full of weapon items, and sometimes lost abilities on the hot bar system. If a player has empty buttons, they made them on purpose. If their abilities are on the bar in a specific order, they did that on purpose. There is no reason in the world for the game to repopulate hot bars when a simple client side save would leave it intact. The way it works now is just clumsy and buggy.
There are more, but at this point I think a person gets the idea---as the game matures, it should not only be more content rich, but more polished and "finished" feeling. I'm enjoying the game tremendously, and there are large strides in content that have happened over the years, but frankly the lack of polish the game has received gives it a distinctive low budget/late beta feel that simply should not happen at this stage in its life cycle.
1. Universale Weapon Consoles like the Point Defense System or the Torpedo Point Defense System should have icons next to the weapons tray instead on the ability tray.
Plus: The option to put both consoles on Auto-Fire. I think this could be very handy.
_____________________________________
2. Shield Consoles should be Eng and Sci slot placeable.
I dont know why the Field Generator, Shield Emitter Amplifier, and Emitter Array are Sci consoles and the Field Emitter is an Eng console. All of those consoles share a common matter. Most of the time on TNG or VOY etc. whenever there were problems with the shild, it was primarily the Engineering's job to resolve the problem.

Only 1 request let fed side use Klingon ships, I see quite a few Klingon ships in fed fleet but since we can't buy them I assume the ones in fed fleet are npc's, though being able to romulan ships shouldn't be a problem since some of them are SF's side
Short term goals, I suppose more missions would be nice. More variety of things to do would definitely not be amiss. More content would be appreciated, and I think that's pretty much going to be covered by the next major update.
Mid-term, I'd say a rework of some of the starter missions, especially for the Feds. Most of them I just yawned through, though the Devidian missions were nice. I'd love to see them brought up to the standard of some of the later, more fun missions.
Long-term would most defintely have to be a rework, a complete revamp, of the Exchange. It was buggy and out of date when the game was released, and it's buggy and out of date now. More categories, better search functions, better breakdown, and a nice visual upgrade would go a long way for this game. One of my favorite parts of any MMO is market interaction. It needs to be more a tool, and less a hassle.
Short term --> Server stability (please)
Mid term --> put modifiers on weapons form memory alpha or Duty officer projects. (If I have a Phaser array mk xi [acc] and I want to put a dmg on it, do a DO project or go to mem alpha and add on the modifier for a ton of ec)
Long term --> Command starship form bridge. Instead of remaking UI you could just put the existing one on the screen thingy. Seriously, it would not take much effort and it would go a long way to make the game better.
Ok, first short-term. Please to not change anything. I like the game as it is.
Second. Ad more colors on ship customization options. (Yellow is missing, like Terran yellow not gold) Or add Mirror template in the same options screen. Like when you edit Mirror ship.
Third. Make old ships tradable or sellable. But not in the Exchange. Better through some specialized dialer.
Now first mid-term. Make more Explore Strange New Worlds missions where you survey the solar systems and contact new species.
Second. Add Warp Drive Testing Detected option like the Red Alert one. And then you respond to that hail and make FIRST CONTACT with a new species.
Third. Give us ability to get cloaking devices by trade with other players or by C-Store or Dilithium purchases.
Long-term now. First make all Mirror ships cloak ready. So that we can use them like the Terrans would. Important thing is that Mirror ships lack cloak console spot.
Second. Enable Distress Call on ships so that players can join you in fight if there is to much to handle.
Third. Enable generic talk with your Bridge officers while you are on the bridge.
I would really like that.
That's it. Sorry if something is not ok but hey, we are all Trekkies.
1. Server Stablity. it sucks when u get booted 6 times an afternoon
2. an exchange console on the fleet starbase, you spend tons of money on the base ie heart of targ which personally cost me 35mil ec..... you shouldn't have to go elsewhere for the exchange
What would be really awesome is some kind of leaderboard that lists the top players in a certain catergory (like PvP), or maybe leaderboards for top fleets in a certain category.
Short Term:
Remove the fleet creation limitations. I don't care if you make it a c-store item, but I'm a solo player and would like to be able to take on the responsibility for grinding out a starbase with just myself and my alts if I'm willing to make all that effort.
Mid-Term:
More gear sets. I like watching my characters and ships change visually depending on what I have equipped, and every extra little synergistic edge helps.
Long Term:
Crafting overhaul!! I have been at max crafting level for a long time now with my main and besides making a little money here and there there isn't a whole lot of reason to use it. By the time I managed to get myself enough materials to make something I was usually already higher level and that item would become obsolete. There should be more craft-ables, I think, even if it means further raising the cap.
Short/Midterm Goal: Not sure if this is the best place to put this but I am playing through the Legacy of Romulus beta and in the episode Devil's Choice we gain control of an Elachi ship. We just stole a ship that has been kicking our butts for the since the begining and I was looking forward to fighting with that level of tech for a little. I think it would be a good idea to add some of the Elachi ship weapons during that missiion and some use of them during combat. For me, that would complete that experience
Another thing that I would like to add would be an Elachi Space Set with the Romulan Reputation. Last time I checked neither the Romulan or Reman sets gave warp speed boosts and after seeing the kind of damage the Elachi can do I think that it would make an appropriate space set
Short term:
A reputation project which allows you to turn in unused STF gear in exchange for marks.
You see, if you no longer need a certain piece of STF gear (or any special reputation gear), you're stuck with it. It costed you a lot of marks and the only way to get rid of it is to sell it for "a few" EC. You can't sell it on the exchange for a lot of EC and it's still too valuable to throw away. Neither can you give it to another character of yours that can use it. This way, it can still be useful as you can use it to get another item a lot easier.
Long term:
Remaster the Breen featured episodes. I like it, but it doesn't utilize a lot of new concepts. Give it cinematics, voice overs, career options, a much more impressive Preserver Archive,...
Great Thread, as long as the Devs cn filter trough the gazillion suggestions/ requests!
So heres my one suggestion/request that i have in mind:
Short to Mid Term
Increased Torpedo/ Homing weapons range to 15 maybe 20.
Why? Gives the game more tactic choices, e.g. you can soften up ur enemy from far away, or in teams one player has a "long range weapon" vessel that supports from far away.
I guess there have been others who suggested that before, so i support that, it would give the game more deepnes.
Short to Midterm, since it has to be a lot of programing to actually implement it on the A.I. on the npcs, weapon stats etc.
Cheerz.
P.S. Is there a thred where the devs actually write ehat they consider to implement into the game?
1. Allow all Rear Admirals (Upper & Lower) to have one Hanger slot (Allow the C-Store ships to have two hangar slots or allow the Vice Admiral ships to have two slots). Ships such as my Reconnaissance Science Vessel (SOL Class) seems to have a runway in the back of the ship, but sadly I do not have a hangar slot. This would be great to allow the smaller ships to conduct missions along side me. For example, when I'm on patrol or exploring a system. I can launch the carriers and send them to scan an anomaly. Or send a carrier with a 5 man team to the planet to answer an emergency distress signal. Basically use the smaller crafts to increase the immersion of the game for all of us Admirals (and not just those Vice Admirals).
2. Create missions that force us Admirals to use our smaller craft. A mission(s) where we have to fly through asteroids or covertly sneak into and out of a planet. Again, use the smaller craft for more than just eye candy.
3. I understand that you're running a business and you have to make money, but I would like to see more freedom within our Bridge Officer slots. Why not have a total of 5 slots and allow us to fill them with whatever we want. For example it can be 5 Tactical or Three Engineering + Two Science.
Mid-Term Requests
1. More two ship missions. Similar to a co-op game where two Admirals have the same assignment and must combat through space and onto a planet. From there you can give to separate objective where we have to accomplish them in order for the mission to be a success.
2. Force more Fleet events. I'm tired of everyone spamming other players to join a fleet, only to do nothing within that fleet. Yes some fleets do have events, but other fleets do nothing but take up resources from there members.
Long Term Requests
1. More Carriers for all of the factions. And incorporate them into the game play. So that the game will not be space combat with large ships and ground combat. Create more small craft combat and or missions.
2. Keep up the good work. It took me a month & a half to reach Admiral (Lower half at the time of writing this), I enjoyed the progress. I didn't speed through it, but I was disappointed to see how limited I still was even at a Admiral rank. It's obvious Vice Admirals have all the perks, but why call everyone who's level 40-49 an Admiral if they are being treated like a glorified Captain?
3. If you really want to make level 50 (Vice Admiral) special, allow them to to have a sixth Bridge Officer and Two sets of Away teams (an away team per hangar bay). So that way they can deploy to sets of Away teams down to a planet while the conduct space combat. Only catch is they have to protect those small ships so they can make it to the planet. Then they have to stay busy fighting off the incoming ships.
4. Allow us to create our own ship interiors. You sell each of the pieces for zen (if you want) or credits. Then we can (like Lego) make our own by arrange the sections together. That way you dev's don't have to spend so much time making an entire interior, we'll do all the work.
In closing, use more hangars and carriers. I'm in love with them (can't you tell) and want them to play a bigger part of the game. I don't know how much C++ (or whatever coding language you use) you'll have to code, but please don't make the rank of Admiral Lower Half and Upper half seem like extended versions of Captain. That's been my biggest and only pet peeve so far.
One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.
When I try to enter the new romulas system ( the federation embassy) my game freezes for an unknown reason. As far as I know this is either something client side or server side. pls tell me if u get the same problem. If u do get the problem and have somehow fixed it pls tell me how to fix. I REALLY NEED TO KNO HOW BE CAUSE LAST TIME I WAS ABLE TO PLAY I WAS ENTERING (or at least trying) THE NEW ROMULAS SYSTEM AND NOW WHEN I CLICK PLAY ON THE CHARACTER CREATION SCRREN MY GAME FREEZES LIKE IT DOES WHEN I KEPT TRYNG TO ENTER THE EMBASSY....I....CAN'T.........PLAY!!!!!!:mad::mad: that is my only request.
all three for me is make the "options" actualy remember what you had until it is manualy changed by the player not because you changed zones as well as make them account wide rather than character unless a checkbox is ticked. plus a way to shut off help and pop up bullpucky. Nothing like doing a mission on the third alt and get hints every three seconds even if they are empty boxes because you shut them off supposedly. best is do like the start, if you already did it on another toon just allow an option to shut them off like the tutorial and make it work!
I have entered the options menue maybe 1k times just to turn "over the shoulder cam" off and i should have only done it 1 time for 4 characters. Thats just 1.

I would like some elite stf's for romulan and tholian marks. Omega marks have many good stf's that can be played back to back. takes forever to get rom marks.
Excuse me, excuse me, would you mind stopping that darn noise?
obscene gesture, vulcan neck pinch, claps, cheers
add the possibility to vessels to destroy or dammage the warp core of an enemy (warp core breaching included)
add the possibility to raise the shields of your vessel if you need them but not if you are not under attack
Mid Term
make the ship bridges more cannon (regarding coulor schemes, bridge stations, etc.)
add the possibility for the Long Range Science Vessel to execute the landing procedure like the Intrepid Class
enable authors of foundry missions to use eg the Intrepid Class Bridge if the player beams on an Intreprid Class Vessel
Long Term
enable authors of the foundry to create more realistic maps (eg. if the player?s vessel approaches a planet or a sun, the vessel is faced with radiation, nebulas which dammage a vessel or taking some of their systems offline and therefore appropriate measures to prevent your vessel from being dammaged or even destroyed)
add the Delta Quadrant; missions (especially explore missions) and races like Kazon, etc...included
add the possibility to launch and to control your shuttle (if you have one) while playing your "main" vessel (shuttle hangar open and close)
Short term:
Caitian hair!, like M'ress had in the animated series, farasans should probably have the option as well.
Neutral ships: feregni vessels, cardassian ships, more variety!
holodeck scenarios/training missions, awarding mainly pure XP
more options for race customization, perhaps special things like tails and such for zen
Mid-term:
Duty officers visible aboard your ship
more ship interior options
less combat more diplomacy kind of missions, startrek isnt about war. science officers should have more sciency missions, curing plagues, investigating anomolies, while engineering captains should have general trekky missions.

Plus: The option to put both consoles on Auto-Fire. I think this could be very handy.

MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST MORE MUSIC AND THE OPTION TO CHOOSE WHICH KIND
from creepy and spooky, to hopeful and uplifting, aggressive music for combat situations with the option to disable the combat music!!!!!!!!
having my favorite part of the music interrupted by combat music is kind of annoying..
cause sometimes its party time!
2. an exchange console on the fleet starbase, you spend tons of money on the base ie heart of targ which personally cost me 35mil ec..... you shouldn't have to go elsewhere for the exchange
3. a separate romulan fleet system
What would be really awesome is some kind of leaderboard that lists the top players in a certain catergory (like PvP), or maybe leaderboards for top fleets in a certain category.
Another thing that I would like to add would be an Elachi Space Set with the Romulan Reputation. Last time I checked neither the Romulan or Reman sets gave warp speed boosts and after seeing the kind of damage the Elachi can do I think that it would make an appropriate space set
new events
buff up of beams skills
Cardassian Union
more ships for kdf
more ships for romulans
big faction wars 100vs100 or more
A reputation project which allows you to turn in unused STF gear in exchange for marks.
Give it cinematics, voice overs, career options, a much more impressive Preserver Archive,...
less server issues
DELTA PRICE RISING
I have entered the options menue maybe 1k times just to turn "over the shoulder cam" off and i should have only done it 1 time for 4 characters. Thats just 1.

Short Term
let Dreadnoughts spawn in Foundry missions
add the possibility to vessels to destroy or dammage the warp core of an enemy (warp core breaching included)add the possibility to raise the shields of your vessel if you need them but not if you are not under attack
Mid Termmake the ship bridges more cannon (regarding coulor schemes, bridge stations, etc.)
add the possibility for the Long Range Science Vessel to execute the landing procedure like the Intrepid Classenable authors of foundry missions to use eg the Intrepid Class Bridge if the player beams on an Intreprid Class Vessel
Long Termenable authors of the foundry to create more realistic maps (eg. if the player?s vessel approaches a planet or a sun, the vessel is faced with radiation, nebulas which dammage a vessel or taking some of their systems offline and therefore appropriate measures to prevent your vessel from being dammaged or even destroyed)
add the Delta Quadrant; missions (especially explore missions) and races like Kazon, etc...included
add the possibility to launch and to control your shuttle (if you have one) while playing your "main" vessel (shuttle hangar open and close)
