1. Roll the maintenance day rather than always picking what is Thursday afternoon/evening for the UK/Europe. It's annoying especially for me as Thursdays are my 'short work' day meaning I have the afternoon off and since my other half is at work still it's a perfect time for me to play without being nagged.
2. Fix Installation 18 (if it's not been done by this update (11-Jul-13)
Long Term:
Expand the Sol system to include the entire solar system. How great would it be for players to be able to screenshot their ships skating the rings of Saturn, Visit Utopia Plantia (maybe shift ship buying/repairing/upgrading/customisation to UP)
- More bank and inventory slots: I know it's been mentioned repeatedly, but honestly, my inventory and bank slots are near maxed. I really don't want to give up stuff that I worked hard to get or paid real money for. I love to collect vanity pets. I like to do assignments and have to carry a ton of commodities and crafting items to be able to do them. You keep putting out great items, most of them bound to character, but I have no place to store them anymore. It's a huge part of the fun for me and a lot of other players to collect the pets. It just seems counter-intuitive to me for you to offer things and not give us space to store them.
Mid-Term:
- Character Creator mix and match: Too many restrictions in the costume creator both for captains and bridge officers. Most of us really enjoy making our characters look unique. Bring back the exploit that allows us to mix and match pieces (/costumecreator.setslottype TRIBBLE) or something like it.
Long-Term:
- Character Creator Re-Revamp: Get rid of all the restrictions and let us make some interesting critters and outfits, especially when it comes to off-duty and formal. Open up the color palette for everything. I'd still appreciate a canon color pallete, but also give us the option to open up a color wheel and choose any color we want.
Give us an option to make off-duty outfits for bridge officers. Many away missions were done out of uniform and in clothes appropriate to the planet being visited.
Bring back the undo button to the character creator!
- I'd like to be able to be inside my ship and still have the ability to transwarp or just travel across sectors and sector blocks.
Make it possible to change race after wards (maybe even a Zen purchase like the changing name thing) But for people just using one or two toons its a pain to make a whole new one just to be a borg.
More customisable Starships (indoor and outside)
Make more Fleet stuff we can buy with Fleet Credits, without the need for Dill or Modules there.
better crafting, like actually creating own consoles, with some buffs and dots but not too OP. level related.
Long-Term:
Open up Sector space, more free riding when flying would be nice.
add the delta quadrant. now with all this transwarp this shouldnt be an issue anymore.
My Short to Mid would be a Mark Exchange platform exchange one type of Marks for other Marks like the Dilithium Exchange. Or be able to sell them if you don't need them.
Implement a voting kick system to combat AFKers who do nothing while we grind for marks.
Remove Crafting entirely. Utterly pointless at this juncture.
Focus efforts on fixing gameplay bugs.
Also have some nukara missions that award 50+ Marks. Every other type of mark has at least something to earn that many without the need for the event. I don't see why Nukara should be any different.
How about making Spheres harder to beat instead of annoying the bejesus out of everyone by buffing them with Emergency Power to Engines 3. That is just lazy programming.
Mid Term
Do something to make the grind less grindy for small fleets. I'm in a small fleet and the Dil Mine tab pretty much halted all progress we were making because others (including myself) are overwhelmed with it. Implement a scaling system to how many members there are. Wouldn't you like us to buy those ship Modules? We can't because the cost is too high as is. So in the end, this is costing you money.
Long Term
No more grind tabs until there is enough endgame content to make it feel like we aren't doing the same thing over and over and over and over (you get the idea).
Flying through sector space on your bridge and having y:rolleyes:our view screen act as astrometrics plus more ship locations and things to do, people to talk to with voice acting
Short term:
Ship wide uniforms. One set for "Duty Officers", one set for "Bridge Officers", and one set for "Crew". Maybe include a department head badge? Or Fleet badge? Or a custom "ship" badge?
Mid term:
Increasing the overall content. More stories, plot lines, not just "shoot this, collect that".
Long term:
Branching story lines. Episodes where how/what you do in one step opens/closes options for the next step. This would allow for multiple endings and even allow things like whether you learn some bit of info that opens up other entire episodes. In other words fully fleshed out stories.
Yes, these would have to have limits, such as not destroying/killing important landmarks/characters. But think of the fun of NOT knowing if choice A is the right one...
SHORT TERM:
1. Change the quantity of the ship's replicator's consumables back to a maximum of 20.
....The new maximum of 100 takes forever to select just a handful at a time.
2. The TOS Romulan outfit scarf is supposed to be a heavy wool-like material, not a light silk that flutters in the wind.
MID TERM:
1. Move Asteroid Mining to a sector that can be accessed by the Klingon Faction without having to spend 18,000 EC for each visit.
....(Or hoping that someone will give you diplomatic immunity.)
LONG TERM:
1. Add Refits and/or Retrofits of the TOS Constitution, Constitution, Exeter, Miranda, and Oberth classes. (Would make excellent alternatives to the current Level 4 ships.)
(The models are gorgeous, and they're only useable for such a short time.)
Go for the eyes, Boo!GO FOR THE EYES!!! (Where's a Miniature Giant Space Hamster when you need one?)
To understand the underlying philosophy of the Sith. The dark side offers power for power's sake. You must crave it. Covet it. You must SEEK POWER ABOVE ALL ELSE WITH NO RESERVATION OR HESITATION.
This might not be my top, but here are some that I would like to see, in this post I will address the Nukara missions almost exclusively.
1. Green (when active) Red (when inactive) outline on EV suit power button.
2. 1-2 second respawn timer in Tholian missions (I've accidently respawned a few times as I tried to activate a console, and died as i pressed the button, resulting in the command going to the respawn button as opposed to the console)
3. Mission info in PVE queues listing missions that require EV suits.
And here are my top three for each category, to hopefully get the thread started.
EDIT: Leaving these up as an example, but since some of them were addressed, I've added another post (I think it's on page 6) with an updated list for myself
.
Short term or long term it's the same list.
Fix the bugs
Fix the inconsistent color palettes on costumes.
ONE PALETTE FOR EVERYTHING, not 72 different and incompatible palettes.
Heck you can't even kep consistent on items in the same c-store costumes.
Romulan 22nd century outfit, which you SELL, the tunic side color and the sash are supposed to be identical, but they use different palettes.
Black is impossible, the best you get is dark brown for those and the belt.
Never mind trying to accurately do the red used in the original series - it's not possible at all because that red doesn't exist on any of your palettes.
The TNG Season 1 admirals tunic, I used on one character, I had to choose two different shades of green to get ONE matching green for the tunic, and yet a 3rd shade of green to make the TOS skirt match.
Fix the wildly stupid cutscenes that break both credulity and common sense..
This isn't a comic book, this isn't a superhero game, so showing the player who is an active participant, what the villain is doing is wrong. That only works when it's a passive viewer/reader who is allowed to know what both sides are doing.
We're not viewers, we're players - don't show us things that are happening on the other side of a locked steel door we can't see through.
In Star Trek the villain does NOT get away time and time again, and make a "You haven't beaten me, I'll be back" speech before he leaves.
That's a super villain meme from comics and it does not belong in Star Trek.
The Remans would not stop shooting at the Empress because a gate opened in an asteroid a mile away and sit around watching as she got rescue from her certain demise, they'd finish her off.
The player and crew would not sit around for a minute or so and let Taris get away when the Tal Shier break in to arrest her, because they're here to arrest her too, they'd be no more than 5 seconds behind her.
But that's exactly what the cutscene MUST have us doing, since she's reached the gate 400+ meters away, in seconds Through a door, down a corridor, 90 degree turn, through a doorway, 90 degree turn, up the ramp to the controls.
(that or she can run 160+ mph.)
And of course we're shown what she's doing, despite her being 400+ meters away and there being solid metal walls between us. There's that viewer thing again.
I'm not a viewer, I'm a player, I'm not the impartial 3rd party powerless to affect anything, I'm the Hero, and I CAN'T know what you're showing me.
That same mission has the player then setting the self destruct on totally alien technology and then jumping through the gate instead of beaming out.
Not knowing if the transition is instantaneous or has a duration, would YOU jump through a gate that might shut off before you reach the other side?
What happens when you shut off power to the transporter half way through a beaming?
You don't survive, you're random disassociated atoms.
If that gate is going to blow up in less time than it takes to beam up, what makes you think you're going to reach the other side before it's off?
Lets apply that show the hero what the villain is doing thing to Wrath of Khan for instance.
Player controlled Kirk knows what Khan is doing, knows that Khan is in control of the Reliant and has The Enterprise's shields up. Khan's attack fails.
Then with The Enterprise, a FAR more powerful ship than The Reliant, totally undamaged, he uses the prefix code to drop their shields and force Khan to surrender or blows him up. Movie ends over an hour earlier, Spock lives.
Wow that movie would have sucked, but that's what would happen if you show a PLAYER what only a powerless VIEWER should be shown.
Never mind new content for now.
Fix what you already put in the game, and then apply common sense to the new stuff you're designing instead of this slapdash method you us now.
Like the Chief engineer in one of the Elachi missions who calls you to come down to damage control so he can tell you face to face to go right back to where you just were.
Twice.
Even a 5 year old can see that makes no sense.
Oh my god they're abducting my engineers, instead of just telling you over the communicator to save them, I'll waste a couple minutes waiting for you to get here and a couple more for you to get back so I can tell you in person when there's no need to tell you in person.
Considering how fast the Elachi abduct people, he's just lost at least a dozen guys with that nonsensical delay.
And then, with the Elachi destabilizing the Stations power core, he does it again.
Because you know, it's not like there's any reason to hurry with the core about to explode.
The guy who wrote this scenario needs to improve about 1000000% before he'd be qualified to write a shopping list.
What is that, three necros in one day by three separate people? Gotta be a record of some kind.
"Great War! / And I cannot take more! / Great tour! / I keep on marching on / I play the great score / There will be no encore / Great War! / The War to End All Wars"

Short term:
- Increase cruisers' hull and energy pool significantly! It's ridiculous that a Bortasqu's hull points are not much more than a fleet tac escort's, although there is about 10x size difference. Also bigger ships have bigger generators!
Mid term:
- 1 or 2 more STFs and at least 2 more KDF space PvEs (fed has 3, kdf has 1... o.O)
- Fix voice comms! Seriously, it's horrible!
Long term:
- Improve the ground combat a LOT! The ground fights' concept is way too simple. A real TPS/FPS mode would be awesome. I don't expect the ground combat to be at the level of Mass Effect 3, but the present level is... hmm, maybe the best word would be outdated.
- Borg as playable faction.
Short Term: Matching Warp Cores for all the Ship Equipment sets out there.
Mid Term: The option to call reinforcements should come from one of your own personal fleet. One can use your Commander Level Bridge officers to "command" this vessel.
Long Term: Do away with the Ship Injury system at least for higher difficulties. When a ship is sufficiently "damaged" enough, force the player to swap it out for another ship in their personal fleet. One can repair the ship using the DOff system and actually use the components for that.
Short term:
Fix the away teams getting stuck in doorways etc.
Some areas have the team running together in close formation but most of them are on planets out in the open. In small corridors, members of the away team often get stuck in doorways and don't move because they run in a spread formation behind you. The result is that you get into a fire fight with only half of your away team because the other half is stuck way back at the start of the complex.
Mid Term:
More information for new players. (Help pages for more than just account problems)
I am not a newbie but I stopped playing just after Klingons became a playable character. I was glad to see Romulans as a playable character and dived in with a Romulan character. However, with so much new content, I am as lost as a new player when it comes to things like mining Dilithium, I have no idea where or how and there has been no information about this in the game. By sheer chance, I found quests that reward Dilithium which were not mentioned.
Long Term:
Getting to Admiral is fairly fast and easy but what now?
So we can level up via questing to get to Admiral very quickly. The problem is, it then becomes pure grind just as so many other games at end game. Reputation, skill points and so on, gaining some the many currencies, (GPL, Dilithium etc) so we can buy better equipment. For what? Just so we can grind a bit more for the rep? Let's see some more long storylines like your characters story from their career start onward, something that will take several days to complete. Even if this means time-warps to go back in time to before your characters birth to fight in the Dominion wars around DS9, fight in your own ship alongside the Enterprise under Kirk, (or indeed, against it). There are a couple of missions where this is done but it would be nice to have a very long storyline based on this.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"

Passion and Serenity are one.
