are you using their silly basic function?

Go to advanced > uniforms to see all your options.

Those "presets" will never show you your actual choices.

Nope. Always used the advanced customizable options but I got now some Tal Shiar options but just and only for the lower body.

Not sure if this is the appropriate spot but I've been thinking about the Omega Rep...

Will Romulans be forced to wear the MACO or Honor Guard sets or will we have a more Romulan themed one.

Aside from simply the "look", it makes no sense that a Romulan would even be in the Honor Guard.

Indeed The Romulans should have something like Imperial Guard. Republic Guard would have unfortunate implications so...Tal Shiar doesn't fit....Republic Soldier set? I don't know. But they are one of the big three and still have access to advanced technology, they should certainly have their own sets.

Someone mentioned in another thread that Thigh High Boots had been deleted. NOOOOO.

Luckily all my females still have theirs on but I would find their abscence from live unacceptble.

The issue IS NOT the boots.

The issue is the pants, The pants need to be changed, The bump at the knee causes clipping with all tall boots. Just get rid of that and make them a normal pant.

Have they? Haven't been on today to check, but in all fairness, they probably never should have been available in the first place (along with the earrings) as they are part of the TOS uniform pack.

You're right about the clipping, it is VERY annoying.

Since when were thigh high boots considered TOS only?

Have they added in the skirts that have been clearly shown for awhile now???

We need more clothing options, we need the hair options that were shown in the sketches, we need to legalize ale again...

I'm pretty sure what you are looking for is "Praetorian Guard" :)

I would certainly welcome a Romulan-specific STF armor option in the future, but I can definitely make do with the current offerings for the time being. Now what I would like to see immediately is the end of the separate MACO/Omega/Honor Guard uniform categories.
I really want to use the Honor Guard cape on my KDF captain's fleet uniform :(

Is there a reason my Romulan and Reman female Boffs can't seem to use Romulan Republic undershirts with the Romulan Federation jacket? It looks like I should be able to change it but I can't, and it stinks because I like the Republic undershirts better with the Fed jacket.

Also it seems my poor, poor Vetril (and other Remans and/or just the ladies?) can't seem to equip Fed Romulan pants, either. So she's stuck in a Republic uniform while the rest of my crew rocks their Federation allegiance with style. :(

    YES YES YES YES

    Thank you.

And I agree completely the uniform restrictions are a pain. Especially on the Klingon side.

And I would like to see that restriction lifted on BOFFs too. Not being able to customize a MACO or Omega Force uniform on my BOFFs is killing me. As a matter of fact the same thing with the restrictions like the Lobi store skirt too. Heck I have a Ferengi Boff that can't wear a Ferengi skirt, how much since does that make.

I'm no gonna harp on how it would be nice to give us access to Boff secondary outfit.

Presets for the Republic/Allied/Tal Shiar uniforms, like already exist for the starting outfits.

And a Praetorian Guard set/uniform would be nice too.

I can confirm that the Thigh High Boots ARE removed.

1/2 my crew are femal and currently wearing them! They have NO -- I REPEAT NO - issues what so every with those boots.

Any clipping issues are created by the bulge in the Romulan Klingon pant. Nothing else seemed to have any real issue with them.

As a player I would prefer to either not use that pant or simply deal with the clipping than not have the Boots.

The boots work fine with 98% of all the other pants and dont seem to be a problem.

If i could be honest, the other boots I would have to use if changed their costumes are just that attractive.

Most of the "Romulan" boot you have created look like UGGs. There I said it. The Romulan boots look like UGGS!

As KDF on live it does bug me too, I had old armor I put on a BO. It defaults to a grey. Basically current outfit or grey armor that could look cool if you could edit.

    .

If thats the actual issue I can live with that, Ive had the TOS stuff since day 1 so Ive forgotten it was an unlock option. Never once had a female in this game who WASNT wearing thigh highs.

Bump dat. They could have it be the first cutting edge product the New Romulans produce.

Something sleek and form fitting, similar to MACO but better. Cleaner Cut. With a built in remodulating personal cloak that the Borg have to adapt to for the three piece bonus. And of course...Shoulder Pads. Sharp.... Shoulder Pads.

Speaking of form fitting has anyone else seen Uhura in that rubber looking black skin tight outfit in the Into Darkness trailer? Looks like MACO stripped of the extraneous gear.

I would rather they fix the uniforms and hairstyles they've already added before they consider adding more costumes and armor. There are several hairstyles with HUGE bald spots on them, some male jackets still have clipping issues and torsos vanish while wearing off duty clothes.

Then there are the issues with Sela's cape not matching the rest of her uniform and clipping.

    Need help in testing something....

I created an alt and skipped the Tutorial and added a mailed Reman to the crew.

The costume option is called Reman Neutral.

This uses the "normal" Romulan palette

I dont have the wear with all to play thru the levels again but I am wondering if once you pick a side if the palette changes to the limited one.

I VERY strongly feel that we should have ONE consistant Romulan palette regardless of the faction we are forced to pick.

Its one of those little things that pointlessly reducing the "Romulan" factor and only serves to remind us we arent an actual faction.

I want the orginal palette we have when we start. Not a limited one.

This could also just be a KDF issue. I have not played a Fed aligned since they added the limited palette. If that is the issue then its even less fair that KDF aligned should have fewer options than Fed aligned simply because the Klingons have a limited palette. We arent klingons!.

It just makes no sense some of our items can be one color but then another cant.

As I keep saying I know its possible because I was using those colors a week ago and have screenies to prove it.

So judging by that formal dress shot, am I to understand that Female Romulans have no cleavage?

Speaking of Cleavage, where is the Klingon ladies' war dress with the epic Duras sisters Kleavage window?

I'm a firm believer that you should never have anything taken away.

If you start with the Republic color pallet and then go Fed, then you should have the Romulan pallet and the Fed Pallet (far be it too revolutionary for us to simply have all the colors). If you go Fed then no you shouldn't get the Klingon designated pallet, but no matter what you shouldn't lose the colors you started with.

I've noticed that survivor romulan 01 jacket causes clipping with most belts, I mean they are hidden under lower lapel while stuff attached to belt clips through - it looks bad

second thing, and I believe subject was spoken about many times already - coloration needs serious fixes, not only limiting colors to pastel is bad thing, changing color range on left/right costume elements - seriously, pleas fix that and give us more natural gamut to work with, my sight hurts when I see those eye-biting pinks and greens and such

Can we get an option on the Romulan shoulder pads to omit the dangling drapery?

Well I can see how some might not like it, most likely response will be...just dont equip the shoulders....

Myself, I saw where they went with it...it had that TOS feeling with the original uniforms we saw and I rather like it...actually id prefer if the drapery was longer and more squared off to have that almost TOS look but with the newer uniforms...

It also delved back to the Roman style (since thats where romulans came from idea wise)

What I want to know is...wtf is all the clothing options for us?

You know..the ones that every bloody romulan npc can wear but not us...plus the damn Romulan Fed allied skirts??? Its in the picture when you choose kdf or fed...so where is it??? I want to know how bad it will clip with stuff so we can fix it before launch in oh....5 days

    You know what got me...

I was at the bank at DS9 and looked over and there were these Super cool looking Romulans. Thought at first they were some kind of promo/preview thing. Then it clicked in that those were the "escorts" you can buy with rep.

Those Romulans looked cool and didnt have cargo pockets and scarves.

Would love to have those options.

And really as time has gone by I have grown to dislike the "Republic" outfits. All I can think of when Im surrounded by my crew on my ship is that I am at some hotel banquet and there are 100s of cater waiters.

You can change their uniforms, you know. First thing I did when I made my second test Romulan after the server wipe was mess with uniforms once I recruited Satra. Don't know if you can stick your crew in the Tal Shiar outfit, but you can at least get them into the Republic uniforms if their informal attire offends you that much.

... of course, given your rather blunt views, I doubt that would be much of an improvement for you if the Tal Shiar uniforms aren't an option for bridge officers.

I feel very strongly and started a break thread on this issue.

Below is a screen shot of my palette choices. The top is what I start with. Below that is what my options are after alignment

    http://postimg.org/image/v608quyxd/

I understand WHY Klingons have a limited palette and pretty much agree with the intent behind it.

But as a Romulan I AM NOT A KLINGON. I am only a Klingon because I was FORCED to make a choice I didnt want to make.

We have no Klingon costume options - which is good because when those were avaialble it was pissing me off - short pink alien romulans in Klingon outfits. I shutter. Since we have no Klingon options there is no reason to force a Klingon palette on us. If there are Klingon options then those can use the Klingon palette. Fine with that.

But we shouldnt have ROMULAN options changed because of alignment. I believe most of us want as little to do with our "allies" as possible. Its a choice we make and then quickly try and forget. When you are forced into a Klingon paradigm whether its missions or clothes then its just a constant reminder that we arent actually a faction.

Give feds fed stuff. Give Klingons Klingon stuff and let Romulans be Romulans.

To me this is just as bad as our forced Scowl when we aligned Klingon. Pointless, unnecessary and immersion breaking

My BOs and myself will never wear the Republic uniform since none of us are part of the Republic. I was refering to the generic crew that spans on your ship in beige cater waiter jackets.

Way ahead of you. My BOs were redone head to toe the minute they joined up and made to look Romulan.

Since the Tal Shiar outfits are the only actual Romulan attire available, that what my crew wears.

But because of the Palette issues they are limited to Dark Red or Dark Blue..

In my cynical opinion things are being done to more or less force us into the devs vision of drab grey, cargo pockets and scarves by making other choices less than appealing.

Oh, and also when I got my Tal Shiar uniform, it didn't show up on the generic list of full uniforms to choose from, like the Romulan Republic and Romulan Federation uniforms. I had to choose Romulan Tal Shiar for individual parts, at least as much as they were available. But even the republic and Federation uniforms didn't show up right away either.
