it slike super slow mo ya
and right after i wrote this line i go back and find myself 100 km from everyone go back and finish it.....i think its time for a day off to tel them sort it ....one thing about servers is when everyone pile son lag ( load ) is bad for servers....
Lag & server disconnets still happening. Just suffered severe game Lag to the extent of it freezing again. This time I in a Vo'Quv & was at DS9 when it happnened. restart but having trouble getting bk in. 2nd log in attempt now
Same issue only happening in PvE pick up groups for me so far but becomes completely unplayable with in 10 min of the match start. Had no issues of any kind playing the game until this patch.
So far no dev or mod responses to this. A few ticket replies posted of support saying it's not them it's you. 7 pages of post about the same issue from a lot of different people. No it's not you, it's them. I would love to see this issue resolved before the weekend, but I know full well it wouldn't be (which is also the reason I canceled my paid subscription last month, poor customer service)

The good news are, there is a dev response. As it stands now some special consoles are the cause of the problem. If a ship like the odyssey uses the saucer separation or the aquarius escort the clients of all players slow down within a few minutes. I don't think it is a server glitch but probably more of a memory leak on the client side.

After last maintenance at 28.03.2013 every STF I played, first got laggy then crashed.
It seems that it is getting unstuck when you are getting killed.
Its not a problem only at my side. All players at STF experience it.
It is frustrating.

What ascaladar said, plus multi-vector assault mode, Hoh'SuS, and Galaxy saucer separation.
According to what some other players have discovered, disabling ALL visuals on gear with visuals - including but not limited to:
All set engines, most set deflectors, all set shields, Borg console
will make sure that ship separation DOES NOT kill the games of everybody in your instance.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.
For me is not a lag problem is a fps in a Random circunstance during stf, the Frame rate goes down to 2 fps from 90fps .The problem is gradual it starts slowly reducing the fps to a time the game is totatly unplayable and u need to log the character off and reenter the intance .As i noticed its not only my problem more players on the same instace have the same one.
I'm about ready to cold kill the Klingon Scout Force STF via reboot, I'm stuck in it with about 1 frame per MINUTE, with a completely unresponsive game client. I can't even end this puppy with task manager. It's ridonkulous, I'd never have expected to see a bug this bad in STO.
I have been getting really bad lag all day, I just had to force shut down the game because it was that bad. I was playing a Vault mission and we couldn't move, the whole team was just bouncing back and forth. At first I thought it was jut my internet connection but it seems the whole game is experiencing the same problem.
After patching today
Tried to play 3 stf's , all lagged so bad that it was unplayable (1fps)
The whole team got the lag at the same time in each game
Hope it's fixed soon
Same thing happening to me in Fleet Alerts. Thought it was an isolated incident yesterday, but same thing happened this morning. This seems to be impacting all space group events....not good.
After the lag I experienced yesterday during two separate STF's before the STO server (thankfully) kicked me off I've decided to stay well away from STO until after the next maintenance patch. Server stability yesterday was a real strain on my mental stability I can tell ya!
I play many MMO's and have played STO since Beta, for the first time the game is lagging to the point of locking up.. infact im in an sft and it just totally locked up... wtf is going on here.
Guess it's time to check out one of my other games, good job guys, the server will be stable all right, it will be deserted, but it will certainly be stable.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
since the new update which was to deal with server issues this game as become unplayable.
i would like to know why we get so many problems with in the game after a server maintenance which is designed to fix problems not create more.
why do they have a test server if there not going to test out these fixes before they bring them into the hollow deck .
to try and play a game you can not play due to the server lag problems and bugs after spending money recently on new ships and other stuff i feel like i have been let down by cryptic.
soon as they mess up the game they don't seam to be in a hurry to put things right so people can play this game.
due to these factors i am paying for a service that i don't feel i am getting my moneys worth and due to this i am thinking on seeking legal action which is a bit harsh but leaves me with no other option.when i pay for something i expect to be able to use it and logging onto my account and not being able to do anything with out the sever case of lag and bugs its become a joke.
you don't go to a garage and buy a brand new car to expect the engine to fall out and not expect to receive your money back.
i will give this game 1 week max to get the issues fixed or that will be it and i will seek every penny i have spent on this game.
As I posted earlier in this thread (http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=8871781&postcount=46), a bug with saucer separation and like abilities is the culprit. When a player activates a separation power, it seems to affect the game performance of anyone around them. The team is aware and working on a fix to implement ASAP.
Seems like a typical forum "I'll Quit if you don't do what I want," with a somewhat less common "and I'll sue you too" thrown in for good measure.
I give it a 2 out of 5.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I'm still struggling to understand how a server maintenance patch affects costumes, so either there's some 'stealth' tweeks going on or some of the tribble patches are bleeding over to holodeck.
I'm just glad I didn't update yet, will be doing a complete game backup before the patch 'fixes' my game.

This seems to have fixed my issue on my Nvidia 450 GTX
Dropped my graphics like a sack of bricks to the bare lowest, and still no improvement at all. Sure sign of a server issue.
