Thanks for the info and giving our hopes up for no reason on the countdown, Majority of us was hoping for at least something small to be released today and then the big release in may
Ok, with the new Romulan Expansion coming we need to address the races allowed as well as new races that need to be added to each faction:
ROMULAN REPUBLIC:
Romulan: Obvious choice
Reman: Obvious choice
Hirogen: Allies of the old regime; some clans may ally with the new republic
Corvallen: Allies of the old regime; some may ally with the new republic
Boslic: The republic needs a race as business savy as the Ferengi (Feds) and Orions (KDF)
FEDERATION:
Denobulan: Way over due
Talaxian: Way over due
Ocampa: Way over due
Edosian: These tripods from the animated series may be related to the Undine, with the latter being Augments
KLINGON EMPIRE:
Chalnoth: A perfect addition to the empire
Arin'Sen: A subject race already
Krisosian: A subject race already
* CARDASSIAN UNION:
When this faction drops it should include:
Cardassian: Obvious choice
Kazon: The Kazon Seska sect would readily ally themselves to the union
Son'a: They allied with the Cardassians and the Dominion during the war by making and supplying ketracel white for them
Tarlac: A Son'a subject race
Ellora: A Son'a subject race
* MISCELLANEOUS:
1) Add hair as an option for female Bolians; the very first Bolian seen on TNG had hair
2) The Debrune: Just as the Romulans split from the Vulcans, the Debrune split form the Romulans and have since vanished. What happened to them and their empire? In Star Trek Nemesis, the spear that Nero carries is a Debrune artifact
But it's going to be funny when in year or two from now, people will complain about the Romulan faction not finished yet when they announce the Cardassian faction. LOL
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.
Seriously thou, and I know this is something that isn't said very often (without sarcasim)... thank you Cryptic!
I had some downtime away from STO in January because of having surgery, and in that time I realized just how bored I was with the grind and just the game in general. I know in the end the Romulan faction will be just as much grind as the Fed, but new characters to make, and new ships to fly that aren't Fed or Fed allies and more importantly new story to be had.
Another change I'd like to see in this udpate is the removal of Rear Admiral Lower & Upper Half and have Commodore & Rear Admiral. I still have no idea why Cryptic went with their current choice.
They already have said that a cardassian faction is coming out in season 9 or 10 and 9 will be released later this year so why release this if they are going to half do this one like they did the kdf

I guess some of the KDF people missed that they're getting a minimum of 20 new levels of content.
How sad for them.
Well, to be fair he did say later that the big complaint was lack of end game content.... ofcourse the KDF has the exact same amount of end game content as the Federation.
Exchange will have the ability to select certain faction related items off the exchange? Right now its a mess with Klingon and Fed items intermixed with no way of sorting for faction only items like for Doffs or reward packs.... Insert faction number 3 and oh boy utter cluster ... you get the picture?
Comments
Uhlan-lowest level in the guard guess same as a starfleet ensign
sublieutenant- my guess starfleet Lt. JG
Lieutenant- starfleet lieutenant (never apeared in show)
Centurion- equal to starfleet's Lt. Commander
Subcommander- equal to a starfleet commander
Commander- equal to starfleet captain
Admiral
General
Oh I bet it will come though.

I have a lot of digging to do, but thank you for not butchering this.
So far, it looks tremendous, both as a Star Trek fan, and a video game junkie.

I was reading the new site and one of the first things I read was that. Could you imagine if we were playing a romulan who didn't survive.
that would make the faction experience rather short, methinks

At least I hope that's what you mean for the KDF - I would actually play that side too then.
