Just logged back in today after several months hiatus to have this bug hit me in the face. Can't slot Boffs, listed "workarounds" have no effect.

I literally have done nothing on this game since late 2012 - this is entirely the fault of PWE's bumbling stooges.

Back to hiatus, hope they have a functional game next time I feel like playing - IF I ever feel like coming back to a game that lets a botch this bad hit beta, let alone live.
Arc is garbage. End of discussion.

My bridge officers are all already set to none for all of my station slots. At least on my main ship. On one of my older ships, they are still assigned, but for this ship it actually won't allow me to set the bridge station slot to none.HELP PLZZZZZ without my BOFF im a sitting duck:eek: PLZ HELP I RLLY NEED SOLUTION!!:confused:

I got this bug on my KDF that isn't in a fleet, so the transwarp fix wasn't an option, same goes for changing zones and so on. Visiting the bridge, however, made it work for me. More specifically, the shuttle bridge. I tried that first, so don't know if the ship bridge works too.

Returned to Azure Nebula (where the problem began). Went to the Bridge, then the ready room - bing. resloted the Boffs. Call me superstitous :P

just got hit with this bug today, tried switching ships, zoning, reloging, even renaiming my ship (i read that that would fix it). nothing helped, so now I can use 2 out of 5 officer slots

You know, the fact that this bug is still active after more than 48 hours is annoying enough. Actually, it is more than annoying for some players who are unable to assign BOff's no matter what they try.
But what is really annoying is that nobody can be bothered to keep us updated. Are they trying to fix it? Or maybe, given that the extension of the Anniversary Event and the alteration of the Temporal Ambassador criteria seem to have caused it, they'll just make us suffer through the weekend until the Event is finally over, or should that be possibly over? The Event should never have been extended in the first place, in my opinion. It had run its 2 week course and should have ended when it was originally scheduled to, and then maybe we wouldn't be in this predicament. But hindsight is all well and good and doesn't help matters now. Still, a word from those who are, I hope, involved in resolving effectively game breaking bug would be nice.

Going to the shipyard and using the shuttle slots worked for me. I couldn't assign my SBOff, but after individually assigning each of my officers to the universal BOff station of my shuttle allowed them to be assigned to the ship. Most likely, it seems as if assigning them to the shuttle uni slot somehow "reflags" them for use/station assignment. Hope this helps someone.

    Best.

Some dude in my fleet had this last night, messed around with everything imaginable for 45 minutes, couldn't get any of the "fixes" to work, then quit.

    Thanks a bunch.

I was able to slot them once I went to my bridge.

This seems to be a reasonably effective workaround. The only flaw with it is that you need to have a shuttle or a ship with a uni slot. Low level players, especially those who are not able to, or are unwilling to, spend money in the game, are unlikely to have a shuttle. So for those players, and for brand new players entering the game to find themselves unable to assign their very first BOff's, the game is -- well, a lemon.

The developers need to address this flaw now before they lose a large part of their players, both existing and potential.

I submitted a ticket on this issue 4 hours ago and I've had no response. I'm still waiting on a response.

I changed to my small craft to change it's coloring. I then switched back to my main starship and found that only 2 positions were filled. I have not been able to fill in any of the other positions. I tried switching back to my small craft and that didn't help. I tried changing the positions that are filled in and that didn't help. I switched back to my main ship and dropped the small craft and that didn't help. I can't play this character without being able to assign bridge officers to positions.

I am having close to the same problem here. I ranked up to captain, bought a new cruiser, went to assign bridge officers and it will not let me assign any of them. I tried switching to my other ship but it wont let me even unassign the bridge officers from the old ship, I've tried going to different places in space... nothing.

For me works if you go to the shuttle bridge and re slot.

I just got a new ship today (the mirror patrol escort), and now I can't use any of the stations. I've tried all of the above. It's kind of a bummer....

I recently got the STEAM starter package and decided to swap my ship over to the one included in that.

    I am only rank 4.

I readied the ship on the space station and now want to put my crew in the slots on the new ship but the drop down will not let me assign my crew to the slots, so when I undock all my stations are empty and I have no abilities.

    Any ideas?

none of the solutions here have worked, i am trying to use my tactical vesta but i cant populate its stations, yet when i switch back to my science vesta which I have been using for a few weeks everyone is where they should be.... though only with the sci vesta selected can I put someone in my runabout ensign slot. switching ships kicks that person out of the runabout.

very annoying. First the 2 min global cooldown bug and now this TRIBBLE. Cryptic broke their game again!

It's been 8 hours. What type of support are you running??? If I didn't contact a customer in 8 hours after the customer opened the problem I'd be fired and I have 21 years of doing this type of work.

How do I contact a supervisor of manager?

Another player having this problem as well. Not able to slot any bridge officers. Moved ship to another zone, no good. Went to earthdock and swapped ships, nothing. Went to my own bridge, swapped to a shuttlecraft and swapped back, No good. So have lost interest in playing right now with crippled ships.

Bridge officers have been around since the very beginning of the game and worked fine. How do you break it now???

If you have at least one open spot on your boff roster and there are enough cheap boffs on the exchange then yes I may have one for you:

-One ship at a time, buy a new set of the cheapest boffs you can find...enough for all that ship's stations.
-One slot at a time (for the entire following process), activate the appropriate new boff...it should leap into the empty slot automatically (if not, select it).
-Once it's slotted, change the slot to select the boff you want in that slot and dismiss the newly bought bargainboff.
    -Rinse and repeat.

This is the ONLY thing that worked for me. Thanks a bunch. I tried all the other workarounds. I even bought a shuttle to try that one. No dice. I'm so glad I had that empty slot sitting around all this time. Thanks again!

Thanks for the continued reports and letting us know what workarounds you are working for you. The team is continuing to investigate this as I type.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

I have submitted a bug ticket already. The work around is NOT WORKING.

-I changed ships then back; changed maps and sectors, logged completely out and back in with no success:mad:

Had no joy, no matter what I try. Guess that's this weekend knackered, then.

had a similar problem to some of these posts, my bridge officer spots wont change on any ship, but the only one this is really a problem on is my Oddy flagship, which i bought about a year ago. the ensign universal spot is empty, and the only way i can fill a boff slot on the ship is by switching a slot thats already full. also unable to select none on the dropdown menu. this is not fixed by changing maps, or by the four force verifies i tried. I dont have any new ships except the ambassador class one from the mirror universe mission, problem started with all of my ships on all toons at once. I fly an oddy flagship, an advanced escort with MVAM console, HEC, Vesta flagship, chell grett cruiser, an ambassador, and a dreadnaught. this was not related to the mirror universe mission, i ran that like a week ago and had no trouble, the problem started right after the patch

Me too, I can't assign any of my BOff. Though I'm relieved I'm not the only one. It's ruining my weekend.

Ran the temporal ambassador mission and of course all my boffs were unassigned when I went back to my own ship. Can't reassign any of them. Zoning to new map does not fix it. Very bummed.

Like goldenavariel said, ran the temporal ambassador mission and of course all my boffs were unassigned when I went back to my own ship. Can't reassign any of them. CAN make them part of the Away Team, just not a Bridge Officer.

    WAIT A MINUTE ...

For what it's worth, I went to another sector and visited my Bridge. THEN I was allowed to assign Bridge Officers.
