We are still on track to be finished at noon PST. We're going to do one more test in just a few minutes, though, that should not affect our ETA. I'll make a post in here when we'd like you to try the launcher again. Is there any way that the patch and update downtimes could be scheduled with a bit of variation? You have many players/customers in many time zones. Always bringing the servers down during the same time zone's prime playtime seems very geopraghically prejudice -hint hint, nudge nudge ;)...food for thought. Customer happiness = latinum in your bank.

Some of you folks make me embarrassed to be both a fan of Star Trek, and a long-tie member of this game... especially the ones with the "I've been here a WHOLE WEEK and it has sucked the entire time!" attitude...

It's a freakin' game, guys.....build a bridge, get over it.

Correction, The event will not be a 2 week long event for everyone. A lot of people like me cannot log into the game at the moment. So... if they fix it tonight. It might still be a 2 week long event. minus half a day for reasons you mention.

But seriously, I say to the dev to take the time they need... I know this job can be really stressful and I'd rather wait longer for a game well patched then having quickly a buggy patch...

The 3-year anniversary of STO is February 2nd. Thursday is almost ALWAYS a patch/maintenance day. You are NOT going to miss out on your precious ship, you are NOT going to miss out on the anniversary, and all this raging does nothing but demonstrate a serious entitlement complex. Events like this always begin post-patch.
So, do what you need to do, Cryptic. I hope there aren't too many last-minute bugs being found, because as a huge fan of Yesterday's Enterprise, I am really looking forward to this event.

Whoever or whatever created our species gave us both good and bad emotions and frankly I and everyone else on this forum has as much right to complain as the next person. If Cryptic wanted to avoid all this complaining they should have done all this testing and stuff Tuesday or Wednesday. Don't come on here complaining about us complaining because you're doing the exact same thing: Complaining.

Looks like we've nailed down the issue with the launcher! WHOO HOO! Now, just to complete maintenance and get you all in-game. Who's ready for the Anniversary Event?!
nooooooooooooooooo....probably not going to be up in time for me to get on before work or get a character the frosted boots I forgot to get before they disappear from the console at quark's. grrr.
