Couldn't agree more. Despite what they think across the pond the world does not revolve around the United States of America.

Though it may appear so when you devote all your time to a company in California base on a show developed in the US in an industry invented in the US on a product invented by the US... hmmm, revolve much?

Doesn't revolve around you either. How about we all agree that people post in whatever time zone they want, and as long as they provide the time zone, you convert it to whatever works best for you?

I am totally new to STO and thinking of subscribing. With the patch connection problems the other day and today, is this a common occurrence?

    ....sometimes, but: nope ;)

    Hi Captains,

We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tomorrow, Thursday, January 31st, at 7AM PST (click here to view in your timezone) for maintenance and to apply a new patch. Patch notes can be found here, and we expect this maintenance to only last for 2 hours. The test server may also be unavailable during this time.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

    - The Star Trek Online Team

UPDATE (1/31 @ 8:54AM): We're going to be extending our maintenance. A new ETA will be provided as soon as one is available. As tests are still ongoing, please check out the red text on the top of the forum.

UPDATE (1/31 @ 10:17AM): The launcher should now be accessible. We'll be completing our maintenance ASAP. We'll update you upon completion. ETA noon PST (1 hour 43 minutes).

Can we have a new eta please as this one has gone

Everyone stop complaining! They're doing thier best, and not asking for money while they do it!
Not many companies are willing to do this.

It wont take long, chillout, and take a sick day at work :)

Are you kidding? The first patch made the paddles too big, the second turned them pink. (which was odd, considering the B&W nature of the game). Three days downtime, then when it came back up, it ate my cat. Pong updates were hell, man.

Wait, they were bugs? I thought they were features

I know some of you all are complaining about update patches and such, but would you rather more bugs be introduced? They maybe trying to fix some bugs (albiet only a few), but if they rush their patch or not do a maintenance patch, i can guarantee everyone would be complaining about it on here. So, take you pick, do not do a patch and keep current bugs, or let them do more than one patch a week and hopefully fix some stuff, and not introduce more bugs?

I prefer they take as many patches they need to fix stuff. If they need extra's. go for it cryptic. Fix those bugs!

If you haven't done so and you don't have to you should read some people's complaints. I for one have been upset that they decided to do all this testing and maintainence today of all days. You're right on some of your points. Bottom line is they should have done this yesterday or before that and people wouldn't be complaining in the first place. And anybody who has issues with people complaining on this forum forget that no matter what you say you will not stop them from doing it so you can try, but really what's the point? I understand what you folks are upset about us complaining, but seriously what do you expect?

Shut up and listen. I don't care what someone says about the fanbase complaining. Whoever or whatever created our species gave us both good and bad emotions and frankly I and everyone else on this forum has as much right to complain as the next person. If Cryptic wanted to avoid all this complaining they should have done all this testing and stuff Tuesday or Wednesday. Don't come on here complaining about us complaining because you're doing the exact same thing: Complaining.

Amen, We have a right to complain and don't have to be haters or bad mouthers to do it. I'm with ya...

I would like this one question answered by someone from the dev team or atleast someone who would know.
Is there going to be a romulan faction soon?

I hope so, only being restricted to Federation or Klingon, seems lacking
