    I want to hug you in all sorts of inappropriate ways. This worked to get the Launcher up... though went straight back to stalling on loading. All in all, still not working. But the launcher did come up! Hopefully that'll help someone

    It's happened again. i managed to log in at 2330 GMT last night. logged in again tonight worked. logged out again about 10 mins ago. now i can't log in again. I would appreciate this matter to be further investigated as this launcher failure has happened twice in two days. P.S again, when it works, Great Game.

    Same here, am from the UK, I was playing this this morning and later on in the afternoon, now it wont work and everytime i attempt to relog on it keeps coming up with laucher error, can someone please fix this so it does not happen again please

    So now the patch has made my STO Launcher a lockbox Ive decided I better open up a few hundred... maybe one will work :P LOL

    the problem is on their end. but it does seem to have correlation with how busy the server is. yesterday i couldn't get autopatch till later at night. here i am today in the same situation.

    So as one of the people affected by this testing of the launcher - which came without an announcement/warning - what's the eta on when the game will be working again? I hope this doesn't happen again during the free ship event thing.

    I know that program, but haven't installed it since I bought my new pc 5 month ago. So no it's not a simple thing.

    The only similar thing between me and my few fleetmates is steam. We all bought the game there (at release) and downloaded it there, but it's not running in the background. Well ok, Teamspeak and ICQ are the same programs we use together, but never heard of problems caused by them.

    Actually I'm stuck in endless load at new romulus, hanging there already for 20 minutes, hearing others teleport minutes ago and now it's really silent, like there's nobody else anymore.     Right, so, let me get this straight - the server was down, then it was fixed, everything was fine and you guys decided that the best thing to do was stop it from working to figure out what caused a problem that no longer exists? Well you already fixed it so i fail to see how you can gain any information that can help in the future, you alrady know how to resolve the issue... Have i missed something?... I hope so!

    I left myself logged in on my machine last night, and when I came to it earlier today, it still worked. Log out... and I can't get back in.

    Also, unsurprisingly, we've heard nothing from Cryptic/PWE about compensation for yesterday's failure. As I'm a Lifer, I expect the game to be there permanently. And now, to find out that it's broken again, and we've still heard nothing...

    BranFlakes, could you please tell us what we can expect as compensation from Cryptic for this second day of failure in the game, and the unforgiveable failure of hearing nothing.

    Great...I just got booted from the game and now the Launcher is doing the same thing as yesterday.

    It would help if mirrors were stood up in the East Coast/West Coast and in Europe.

    Man I had my wallet next to my computer about to lay down some cash and possibly go gold, but for this game to be out now for awhile and this to be happening as if it were still in BETA is nuts. Wallet is back in my pocket.

    Sounds like I'm probably not the only one having issues with STO's launcher, but I am curious to know if anyone is having this problem? I tried logging in this morning on my desktop and I noticed that my account name that is normally in the login box was missing. When I tried to type in my information and log in, the launcher crashes and asks me to submit a ticket to Cryptic. I've tried it on both my home machine as well as my laptop and it is doing it on both machines.

    Any indication of what this is or how to fix it yet?

    Yet another issue with connection. This looks to be centered at the patch server.

    BranFlakes, please tell us what kind of compensation we'll be getting for this problem.

    I too am having the same problem now... I try to open the launcher and it won't update... My internet connection is fine and I have been playing STO everyday for the past few months... I don't see why it is all of a sudden acting this way...
