    Sorry to add to the thousands experiencing this problem but I am another one to add to the list. What really shocks me though is reading the posts and being surprised what lengths STO players have to go to to resolve the poor work by Cryptic!!! I bet Techsupport are sitting there drinking coffee just waiting for us to sort it out. These constant tech issues are really putting this game in the #can I be bothered' category.

    That is the updater program for Java. So its unrelated. Your laptop is wanting to update your current version of java with a new one. Which I would recommend letting it do.

    The launcher opens up but its got nothing there just a white box with the message

    "Loading, Please Wait"

    What is wrong with the launcher this time? and also any advice appreciated also how do u add pics to here as i can show you then.

    Good point Frojoe! I do agree that it feels like there is a lack of updates.. But they may feel that it is pointless to update without any news.. Not sure.. Can't speak for them.. I do agree an occasional update would be nice!

    If I hazard a guess it might be a router from atlas.cogentco.com, I am a bit rusty but was that not AT%T once?

    Either way it might be a switch outside of Cryptics scope so like us they have a log a fault call and find out what has happened.

    Routing in the WWW is a nightmare so bare with them.

    Looks like something in Boston is the problem child for a lot of us.

    It's just switched to that for me as well.

    Well, I say 'just' I hadn't actually checked in about half an hour, so it may have switched a while ago. Still not actually loading the game though.

    Thanks... I guess. an estimated ETA would be really helpful though. the next 2 hours is the only time I have to play all week. I'd like to know if I'm wasting my time waiting here.

    No excuse "Oh there are tons of people in game" as you can see from this thread this is not one or two users with personal issue on their PC's it's across the damn globe and no doubt is effecting hundreds if not thousands of us.

    One problem with that assumption....my java is already up to date this only happens when i try the STO launcher.

    It's beginning to load, if slowly, for me.

    I at least get a white page from the launcher now. lol.

    could it be the same thing that cause some not able to get on last time if so isnt it a case of repeating the fix that u guys used last time.

    They have to find the problem to asses what to do to fix is - to then give an ETA..

    What a joke, Patching on a monday then after the patch no one can log in unless we do speed checks for them? what a joke, oh did i repeat that!!!!!!!! What a joke!!!!!!! Been playing solid since F2P and have never had to do this!!!!! Please cryptic stop making more of a mess and simply correct what you have installed before you add more stuff which makes things even worse!!!!! Please can someone reply to this once its up and running correctly as i dont do volantary work and havent got the time to TRIBBLE about solving there problems for them!!!!!!! :) Thanks all you waiting captains!!!!!!

    New java updates roll out all the time. Especially when they are trying to fix a nasty little bug in it.

    The STO launcher pulls from IE components I forget the details but its basically using a webpage. So no surprise there.

    As has been said if they have to go thru a 3rd party they have logged a call and are awaiting feedback to be able to give us an ETA, bare with them folks.

    gahh... when will it start working?

    I got to the part where there's login but no buttons to press xD

    This launcher is sort of worse than SWTOR....

    Come on... why is it taking soo long?

    Ok so today all i got is one job to do, that is open the file for the jem hadar set, change a value and done, cool only took 2minutes and now complete. Then we can also charge the playerbase lots of money for no work involved, RESULT!

    Didn't the launcher use to prevent multiple instances of itself from launching?

    I just launched about 50 launchers simultaneously... and now weird things happen involving internet explorer.

    I pretty sure everybody is affected by this I would not worry about it theres more to life then STO :rolleyes: The STO gods will banish the evil that affects the launcher :D
