The team is still trying to resolve the issue -- it's not just affecting STO, but Champs and the Cryptic site, too.
I'll keep updating the thread as I have more information.

Well I'm out in Hawaii originating ffrom Roadrunner so I probably hit cogentco around LA. So Ragsy and I are on different IP route networks both terminating somewhere in Kansas (at least that is where the patch server IP appears to be located). Then you are absolutely correct, it's not anything to do with NJ or Sandy and it appears to be at the Cryptic NOC. Maybe I'm old school but I cannot fathom how possibly a software patch is dorking up what appears to be a routing issue and why they cannot tell that their traffic has dropped off since the patch?
I did notice that the hops in my tracert had IATA airport designators for my cogentco trip:
LAX - LA
IAH - Houston
ATL - Atlanta
DCA - Reagan Intl Airport in DC
JFK - JFK in New York
BOS01 - Boston (Logan)
BOS02 - Boston (Logan)
...then it drops off
LOL probably explains why I get lagged sometimes. They should route me through Dallas and on to Kansas.
*EDIT: Well at least we've moved beyond the "some" people stage as I've noticed flakes post.
So it's been over 4 hours & nothings been done to fix the issue. At anytime are you going to go get an adult to fix the problem? Since none of you children have a TRIBBLE clue how to fix it?
