A proxy/VPN server worked for me.

*Connecting from Los Angeles through Time Warner Cable, using a Los Angeles VPN.

For those of us who aren't extremely computer savvy: how can we do this?

I went away to watch TV and then took a short nap, I come back on and nothing... =(

looks like dev said there was prepatching occuring so ppl could see the conversion for STF gear (tech, prototype) before S7 launch and to check for tribble server update

Sadly this means its down and been down for what i can tell at least 2-3 hrs =(

    anyone else same as me?

Perhaps the ones who can still log on were the ones who got the pre=patch?
    Donno, just guessing...
Still not working for me, I give up for now.
I'll check back in a cple hrs...maybe just wait until tomorrow.

I imagine deleting my client, and redownloading the steam version would have wiped the pre-patch.

Also, amusingly, I can connect if I use my cellphone as a hotspot. So, verizon's wireless service can reach the patch server correctly, but my Verizon FiOS line can't. *Shakes head*.

*Me*Why don't you just step away from the weapons console. You and I both know that you couldn't hit that cube, even if it was right in front of us.
*Junior Tactical Officer* But sir the cube IS right in front of us.
*Me* EXACTLY! Its right in front of us and you still missed it! Just step away from the console.

i just did an ip traceroute test to to the server address and its still up and running, so cogentco isnt the problem, for some reason, theyre server is just not accepting anything in or out other than a ping. seems like and internal security messup :S

I've updated the thread a few times and will continue if there are new developments. There are still players in-game, and logging in, so it's not affecting everyone. The team is working non-stop to try and resolve the issue -- it's their top priority :)

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

if it helps, im from Ontario and i too still am not able to login, all evening since just b4 8pm EST time..

To clarify: Champions-online.com used to auto-jump to co.perfectworld.com

It is not doing it for me anymore.

unfortunately its not affecting everybody, if it was we could demand season 7 be implemented as compensation for the inconvenience. Not that it would work
