My postcount simply indicates that I make the majority of my posts from work, where I am able to access the messageboards but can't actually access the game itself.
And I am not the one crying about the game being offline.....
and if somone doesnt have 1k posts that doesnt mean that person is not present on this forums and dont read
Sure, a mere "Sorry" to go along with doubling the estimated time window is better than nothing, but don't you think any kind of information - even something like "that -beep- cleanup crew tripped over a power wire, we're sorry, rebooting and repatching again" would enable people to actually sympathize with you?
like i said..Tribble server is useless.Shutdown Tribble and focus on the real game to fix old bugs and spend your time/resources to update/fix properly STO
open beta player of some PWE games - north america launched versions:
- PWI - November, 2008 (2 months after North-America-West Coast open beta)
- Forsaken World - open beta
- BOI - open beta
- Star Trek Online - ftp January, 2012 and rank 14 STO Wiki contributor
- Neverwinter open beta June, 2013 Daily Foundry "Canyon of the Dead" ( NW-DBPJYKMRE ) - dungeon
I went to play this morning at 9AM EST to find that the STO servers had just been taken down. It's now nearing 3PM EDT and they are still offline. 4 hours from 9AM is 1PM, yes? Seems legit.
Out of loyalty to the Star Trek franchise, I don't play other MMOs, but what am I supposed to do today, work?
Now 2pm pst? Jesus that's the third extend now people cmon. Only day off from work and half of it is already gone. Always something with this game. You think with all this downtime season 7 is coming.
No one in IT enjoys having problems when doing some maintenance.
They usually prefer this running smoothly, so they can enjoy their day and do much less (or nothing at all) stressful stuff...
I"m pretty sure they will be more happy then us, when their maintenance session is over, then we will be for being able to log in and do what we do...

The patch notes indicate a minor update, so there shouldn't be THAT much going wrong. On the other hand, if this means no catastrophic amount of server timeouts/disconnects/"not responding" messages, more power to them.
Still, can we get at least a hint of what went wrong that what was supposed to be a 2-hour patch quadrupled time wise?
who get a temporal ship and is willing to fly back in time, and inform cryptic about this mess? maybe they will wait with it...and give us the change to get oure dill.....and...TRIBBLE the timeline rule.
I'm sure they did'nt want to take it offline unless they absolutely had to. Just bugs me when they have to take it down again for their 'regular' maintenance run later.

I assume that's what happened. Now they have to build a new one with 5 phaser rifles, a plasma conduit and 30m of duct tape.

Don't mix common sense into his rage rant. Let him spew his nonsense from work while he gets no work done. :P

Yea those darn Humans keep resisting! Tell them to just give up and let the Borg win, then we can all get back to our endless grinding of Dilithium.

The only thing they're fixing, is a way to grab more cash from you.
Destroy the enemy, just save some for me!
Is Tribble up? I thought I read that it might be unavailable too, during the maintenance...
