Now that's a great screenshot, LCDRMiller. That paint really makes it an extraordinary ship. I love it.
Actually, if it has at least 6 weapon slots and 3 tac console slots (which it should, right?), consider it bought, no matter what the boff slots are, how manoeuvrable it is...
(I just hope it will still look that great on my settings.)
EDIT: Heheh, just one more little condition: It mustn't cost more than 2500 Zen, 2000 would be great, though.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

My prediction is it will. Cryptic spent extra effort on this and probably paid money out for it. The design is basically subcontracted and its outside their standard license.
My prediction is that they'll also make it "worth it" by making it a 10 console ship that comes with multiple consoles and a set bonus.
This thing is going to be more than the Armitage... less than the Odyssey 3 pack.
And knowing how gimmicky the ship is, it will probably be disappointing without taking into account consoles and "must have" for Sci players when you factor in consoles.
I'll add, I think it may be something they add an extra to, in addition to consoles, like the Regent, in order to boost demand for what I expect will be a 3000-3500 ZEN ship.
So I'm thinking in addition to consoles, a wide angle DHC or Quad Cannon that uses one of its mod slots on an [Arc] mod. Which will draw in sales from Dreadnaught and escort captains who want the wide angle cannons.
Ah, okay. I missed that. I think the Merian would make a great (semi) modern replacement for the Miranda. Going by the information provided on it, it may be the first ship that isn't a shuttle to receive special engines if it were ever added to STO.
a modified version of the norway is already in game , its one of the heavy escort skins
as for the ' saucers'
aside from the akira , and the alternate cruiser skins , there arent any ' new' ships with saucers , starfleet has moved away from that design , they did so way back with the D

love how people always assume its massive because of the shape;)
its pretty much the same length as a sovereign
well then let me correct my statement: this ship looks ugly because of its proportions. too thin, too long, bottom looks really weird because that deflector part is going all the way up without being level at least a few meters
people said very similar things when they first saw the enterprise D after being so used to the TOS enterprise
its different , not everyones going to like it, thats true of anything
Not sure if anyone else knows this, but CBS actually gave the green light for Cryptic to use *all* of Mark Rademaker's ships, not just the Vesta. Link
Not quite.
They gave Mark Rademaker the greenlight to deal with Cryptic.
Which means Cryptic may use them. But it may mean they have to pay Rademaker a fee for each one... Which means I imagine they'd weigh it on Vesta sales and cost of in-house designs. Because it's doubtful any Rademaker ship would outsell the Vesta unless Rademaker did one HECK of a sales job or in-house staff at Cryptic was too busy/expensive.
How about the Ambassador class we've been asking for years to have? How about the Constellation? The Norway? Steamrunner? You know, ships that were actually in the SHOWS and FILMS?
How about a refit system that will let us use other canon ships at higher tiers (NX/Constitution)?
I grow weary of this "Star Trek" game that has so little actual Star Trek content in it...
They're intentionally holding on the Ambassador. Demanding it sooner won't get it sooner and they already said yes to putting it in. They want the first Ambassador to be a certain NPC ship.
Don't like the design. The same was with Regent and Odyssey. I guess there are problems with balance. I realise it's difficult to design yet another ship with saucer, secondary hull and two nacelles but that just doesn't justify doing now ships at all cost.
It's not that I don't like non-canon ships. I don't like ships that look wrong. I like the Merian class, and I like the Probert Ambassador (I hate the onscreen Ambassador).

I got excited and thought an equivalent KDF ship was coming out simultaneously.
Ever in hope
 want. now.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
or if it does cost 2500 , it better be worth it

Hence why I asked this way back on post #25:

True. Wasn't sure how else to put it.

I wouldn't mind having the spirit class as a shuttle/T1 ship

I've never heard of this one before, so I looked it up:

Damn, that's a sexy ship. Want!
Indeed, beautiful design, just the ship I was waiting!

Oh, yeah, hey Mr. Rademaker, if you're lookin', how's that revamp of the Intrepid coming along?
