finally! Im so glad someone noticed that lol. Reminds me of the iphone 4 prank where they showed people the 4s but called it the 5 and everyone was like wow that is so much better than the 4;)
It does look a lot more familiar with the paintjob, but something I've always wondered: Why does a starship have a maritime camo pattern painted on the hull?
The pic from JamJamz is looking fantastic, love the detail and hope to see older ships get an overhaul adding as much detail, especially in the deflector area, which on most of the older ships is really bad, as in lacking detail, it's just a texture.

a galaxy done in that kind of detail would be amazing

Maybe it can land in the water?? If I remember it's suppose to also land like Voyager did.
Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the Vesta class, so the intricate details of the design aren't things that I could spot, like many of the other posters seem to be able to. However, with my untrained eye, I see a beautiful ship that will be really cool to see in game
It'll be nice to see one of the many ships that are being created, being placed in the C-Store, (where, in my opinion, many of them belong), rather than in a lockbox.
Looks great, from my perspective! Thumbs up to all those who are working on it
ugliest ship i have ever seen. looks like all those star cruisers. a bit like a duck. dont like it. ships get longer and longer, this is ridiculous. imagine where the center axe is and how it looks like when this thing turns.. ewww
i see the time coming when people leave stfs because their mates fly too ugly ships.

I think what you dislike is the design, which Cryptic really doesn't have much say in aside from deciding to do it.
The execution, however, is a level above anything I'd seen before from Cryptic.

love how people always assume its massive because of the shape;)
its pretty much the same length as a sovereign
You guys are doing such a nice job on the Vesta, yet the Luna (aka USS Titan) still is wanting. You know Riker was offered command of the USS Voyager before Janeway was.

LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
Will we get a new Human (Purple) 'Bartender' Doff named "Isaac" for the ship too?

Also, nice job on the model, Cryptic; the Vesta never really was my cup of tea, but the model looks spot-on, from what I can tell in the previews.
We do understand WIP, STO has made us all learn what that is
nothing like a star cruiser

with due respect it looks like one.. then again it is just one pic
But, yeah, this angle does it no favors, and it's a ship that needs some favors.

Like what you would normally find on a cruise ship...
Shorter, in fact. Not by much, but it's definitely not a huge ship, and pretty compact the way the secondary hull is shoved forward into the saucer.
I've never been fond of the ship, but that particular criticism just doesn't make sense.
