In with Zen the End of C-points

So against my better judgement and total lack of choice I went ahead with linking my accounts.:eek:It kinda got me thinking if cpoints would go the way of the dodo as there are five other PW games that it is just zen no conversion.However even tho I understand the conversion rates that silly little voice screams "UR GETTIN SCREWED" so imo I feel it would be best to trim cpoints and only operate with zen. imo it seems logical since at some point in the near future accounts will have no choice but to merge accounts.I get it and will get over it soon that PWI wants to assert itself over the title and only hope that we see a much needed improvement to the inventory of the store.As is there is hardly anything in there so please show us more luv and prove that you really do want our money.Classic examples would be total lack of uniform options for the KDF, no additions of bridge packs and skins for how long,I could keep going and am sure others here could drop a hint or two.So if big changes are really planned then here is to hopeing you guys can get the ball rolling the right direction.

I did the same thing last night. Since the news post when I launched my game had a link to do so and it stated "Merging accounts will soon be none-optional, merge early to ensure your name remains available" or whatever. Last week I bought from the C-store, for the 5th time.... Instant purchase, within the minute I was in my nifty fighter

However, Now that i am merged.... I spent $45.00 buying Zen. Mostly because I just reached Vice Admiral for the first time.... Excited, I said "hell ya! I'm getting that carrier I always wanted!".....

So I got the Zen. I needed 2400 Zen. Which I had to do with 2 separate transactions. One for $20.00, for 2000 Zen, and another for $5.00 for 500 zen. The total comes to 2500 zen to convert into 2k CP. Which is exactly equal to what I would have paid before. Plus I put in an extra $20.00 for spare CP to use later. So to your point above: The conversion rate seems a bit odd, but as someone said in another thread: You are indeed paying the same amount, it just looks odd because of the conversion method.

However, I have yet to receive anything but a bill for my Zen, as it's being "reviewed". It's been over 10 hours now, and after reading on their other game's forums (One's that have been using the Zen method since day 1): Users are on there claiming it's been days since they bought Zen, were charged for it, and haven't received their Zen yet. The longest thread I read was a guy who paid by check (seriously, who still writes checks? lol). He has waited for over 2 weeks for his Zen, and yes they already cashed it.

As for your store comments: I'd like to see a bit more categorization myself. Simple things like being able to sort ships by rank, So I can know if I'm buying a ship below my level and etc. KDF do indeed need more love in the way of uniforms and etc, but I love their ship options!

Maybe they will get some love in season 6 or future expansions. Honestly though I think if they really want our money: They need a completely over-hauled payment method, instead of more store content. Though I do agree that it would be awesome if they categorized it better and make it a bit more sleek, and with a bit more content. I'm kind of fearing the future though!

Oh: Eventually CP will be thrown out all together, so it will indeed be streamlined, with converting being a part of the past. Here is the official link: Cryptic Points are converting to ZEN

Yeah, i don't care what the points are called (Cpoints, zen, moose-nuggets) but I think a 1:1 conversion will alleviate confusion.

Just wanted to say just checked my spam box and all of my old pwi alt accounts have had voucher codes emailed to them for reduced price zen. If these have gone out to everyone it may be that this weekend in particular has had a large amount of new (as in not purchased zen before) players and thus the additional check on first time purchases is taking longer than normal.

Just a thought. In another thread someone bought zen yesterday at 5pm and it was cleared at 11am this morning. My thought about and things like the timezone / office hours / weekend may all have an impact on the additional checks.
