2 questions about buying zen

gettorixgettorix Member Posts: 71 Arc User
I really don;t care for the lack of c-store, but it's inevitable so I will go along. I just have 2 questions:

1. If buying zen with a credit card, do you HAVE to set up that stupid account for Skrill/account protection? (Verified by Visa. My first purchase I had the option to skip it, but now I don't.) I just hate having to have 3 login/passwords to do one simple transaction.

2. With the cstore I could buy a virtual card, and gift it to others. Can you not do that anymore?

Thanks anyone who knows answers to these?

I use paypal instead, it keeps my credit card number from ending up all over.

Yeah, I didn't have a paypal account. Just set one up, and the purchase was seamless. That seems like the way to go.

Still wondering if there is a way to "gift" these zen. I was going to give some to a friend for his birthday so he could buy a VA ship...

the only way I know of to gift zen is to physically buy a card and you could then send him/her the code.

edit: at the moment however you can still buy cpoint cards from the champions site - http://www.champions-online.com/crypticpointscards

you could try that method first.

That does work for now, though I assume it will vanish quickly.

Where do you get PW cards?

Where do you get PW cards?

    (Assuming you're in US)

    Walmart, Walgreens, RiteAid some 7/11's

I'm not sure Target has them anymore or not.

Try Steam Wallet. Work fine and without problem.

I found it very painful to use that verification code. "Please ring your bank ..."

Instead I used Google payment method - very easy to use.

Did this work after the account link? I've never used Steam wallet, but willing to look into it.

    Thanks all who replied!

I just saw the steam option from another post. I bought Zen using a credit card a day ago. Haven't gotten my Zen yet (Though I have received the bill). I'm thinking of reporting the company to the BBB just for the sake of complaining on their slow process. It's unbelievable how incompetent this system is.

Yes, Target still has them. Mine had the $10 and $20 PW cards,

Please note though that that rack is purchased space by a third party company. Think bread vendor or Coke and Pepsi. Target has no control over what goes there so some stores may or may not have them. I confirmed that with an employee this afternoon.
