1. I would like to see the deflector dish actually deflect something; especialy when flying through all the asteroids that you seem to need to put in missions.
2. I would like to see all special ships in the c-store after the promotional period for them is done.
C) Lets finally make a starship what it should be, a placed where people live and work. Its been done w/ some success, but there can be more done. Example: During/After a massive fire-fight w/ the jem'hadar, borg, or gorn I want to see the aftermath on my ship. That would be anything from engineering fixing a damaged conduit, putting out a fire or clearing up fallen debris, not to mention Medical performing triage or even security assembling a team to repel the invading horde. The same goes for peacetime ops as well.
.
this. {long term} incorporate into the difficulty settings this option. you take battle damage, you repair the ship, but it throws in the possibility of the conclusion of the mission launches problems that need to be fixed, I.E Warp core malfunction, loss of helm control, life support offline even to silly stuff like the replicators generating green slime or the facilities backing up. you have to do these minimissions to fix it before you can continue.
{Mid term} make a separate channel for gold members only, a la fleet chat so we don't get quite as much of the childishness that floods regular chat
{mid term} make the captains table worthwhile, special items vendor, for example
{short term} more control on color palettes for both ships and uniforms. I would be willing to bet many fleets would come up with thier own color schemes.
{short term} playable liberated borg in C-store. you already released the TOS ship, so may as well allow us who chose other options on beta get that too
{mid term} more craftable items that are comperable to STF drops, make a reqquired component an extremely rare drop, or a LOT of the trace components. ( like 10 of each)
Short term. I want the team dissolving bug, as well as the control lock up bug to be fixed. These are bugs that just really shouldn't be in an MMO if proper maintenance is performed.
Mid Term. Would like to see more options for exchanging all these extra Borg Tech and Salvage, Dilithium I get enough of already, and the mystery boxes are a joke. How about Duty officers, or EDC's? I have a toon with 3 extra Rare Borg Armor techs, perhaps I should be able to trade those up for one Proto armor tech?
Long term. I would like to see the Klingon side finally fully developed, and then the Romulan faction to finally come to fruition. Only I will hope that it comes out fully developed and full of content.
May already have been discussed/mentioned but here goes
Short;
- universal first officer slot on all ships would be great and really add a lot of different play styles
- fix bug that sees bridge crew 'falling into the floors' at their stations when you go to visit the bridge
Mid;
- revamp of all science ships to add in more benefits to using them (They aren't bad now but not as fun as other ships)
1.Maybe a 'crafting bonus' attribute that goes to the player using a science ship
2.Might not be totally cannon but a 'rear deflector' added to science ships would make greatly add to the those abilities; not suggesting a visual change on the ship just the ability
Long;
- Benzite BOFFs - Special ground trait - 'The Kirk Effect'. Special ability that causes your character to 'lose their shirt' for an additional +10 hit points, +10 knockback and +10 seductiveness.
Short:
Stop the absolutely insane lockbox drops (i find more lockboxes then all other items combined)
No more "soso@soso got whatever" system spam
PLEASE STOP THE LOCKBOX GARBAGE (i understand it's to make money which is what you're doing this for but it is already out of hand and obviously going to get worse)
Mid:
I'd like to see even more variety in the daily "explore" missions. They're fun but very repetitive
Try to find some way to make balanced teams in stf "pugs". I can see that being hard so no rush but the vast majority of pugs i'm in are practically useless. Even a thrown together team with my fleet can easily finish the objective and have a good shot at the optional, even if we don't get it.
Please do something about the lockbox garbage. Not saying take them out. I'm just tired of trying to sift through lockboxes to get to the one real item that dropped or having to pass pass pass as lockboxes drop everywhere in a group run.
Long:
Playable Romulan Faction. The ships, models and all the canon stuffs are almost entirely in game already. There are even enough affiliated races to get the faction at least up and running even if there aren't as many species as the existing factions. I have been saving a character slot for a Romulan science officer. I want those sneaky, underhanded buggers playable. Those hollow, blowfish, puffed out warbirds are my favorite trek ship of all time.
I don't have another off the top of my head. I love this game. I come back to it time and again even though I've given up on most all of the other mmo's I've played. I just want to stop seeing lockbox related spam (both the items and system spam) every 30 seconds of play (there, now it's in my short, mid and long term wishes)
Edit: Thank you. The option to stop the notifications from flashing in the middle of the screen is appreciated greatly. I'm fine with them in the chat windows.
Short: Unclutter the UI, get rid of the windows we dont need/want (group chats) and streamline the ones we do(ship powers, crew buffs, progress, ect..)
Medium: Create a new civilian faction, one that combines trading/exploration w/o all the Fed/KDF entanglements.
Long: Finally expand access to all four quads w/ player controlled planets and starbases
#1 Short, Long and Mid-Risk verses reward. If you make the risk great ( IE BORKED ELITE STF DIFFICULTY ) at least make the reward conmensurate with the difficulty. Over 100 elite stfs ( and over 500 total ) and I still don't have a full MK12 set. Now if the set was really worth it that would be a major concern, but since it's not that much greater than the mk 11 whats the point anymore? So, either make the set much better or make the stupid prototype drops better, or fix the difficulty back so it's not that hard to complete the elites as it was before ftp went rabid. The prospects of completing the set for ground AND space are now over my head I havent been motivated to log on and grind that for weeks now.
#2 Mid-Long -Content rich experience. I know you've a lot in the works, but content is THE thing that will keep me coming back to the game over and over. You relaly need a huge relaease of content it is way over due and the current pace seems miniscule compared to the need at VA level. One can only do so many of the 6 missions that do anything for us before we get fed up and start watching Reruns to get our Start Trek fix.
#3 Short -Mid-Long : More careful engineering of changes and better communication of them. Communicating that you are making the stfs easier and actually making them 200 times harder is not only poorly engineeered - it's terrible communication as well. Hey we can all make mistakes and I accept that but you are more likely not to communicate for weeks that a mistake has even been made . I'd like to see you own up to your changes, intentional or not rather than hide behind any artifice. Now from what I have seen since PW tookover your company or someone at your company has a hankering to make the game much more challenging and notch up the difficulty as you can to attract mroe hardcore MMO fans. I don't oppose that but, do some good communication if that's what you intend to do. Ohh and while youa re at it if youa re going to make such crazy changes give us more free respec tokens so that we can adjust to said changes rather than force us to pay you more money with it by default, if you are goign to inflict pain make sure you at least do some reconciliation to ameliorate the damage.
All 3 summed up here: more mission content.
I am not talkin about foundry or daily repeatables. I mean real actual NEW developer created missions for both of the current factions in the game. I am sick and tired of playing my VADM 1 day a week for maybe 2 hours. I realize PWE just took over and we need to give you guys time to adjust fire onto target so i am bein as patient as possible. But if you EVER want another dime outta my wallet LOTS of new mission content is what it will take. I do not care if the level cap ever goes up if i have stuff to do in game with my main and all of my alts.
This being said i have glanced at some of the other feedback in this particular forum and see that you are listening to at least a portion of the posts. WAY BETTER THAN YOUR PREDECESSORS! I think you guys since FTP have done the best you can with what you were handed. I do not mean for that statement to sound derogatory at all. I mean to impress upon you the urgency that you have shown at addressing past oversights is noticed and appreciated. It is the best i have seen the game since the novelty wore off 3 months after beta.
Bravo on all of your hard work and now that you have the momentum going again DO NOT STOP!
Thank You
Short-Medium-Long: Put a skin on the moon in Andoria already! It has been a basic UVW map forever. Just map something onto it already, I don't care what.
Short (actual): Adjustment to the Borg torpedo damage. The "magic torpedo" can be forgiven, it seems to just be a graphical error and with a bit of guesswork and luck you can survive it, but there is no reason that my cruiser, full buffed, should be 1 shotted from full shields/hull to dead. 2 shots? okay. 3 shots, perfect. But 1? How exactly am I supposed to tank a 400k damage REGULAR (not high yield) torpedo?
Short 2: Upgrade Maco/Omega. The sets do not give anything significant to really make farming them worth it. The space sets, it's not that they are bad, but they are only lateral moves from the Borg or Aegis pieces, and the only really standout piece is the Maco Shield. The ground sets are okay, but could be better. The stats on the pieces are decent, but I'd really like a few options of weapon. Just me personally, I loathe sniper rifles and full autos, so I now have one weapon slot that is almost always unused. Give us some options here; Dual Pistols? Single Pistols? Pulsewaves? Hi-Density? Blast Assaults? You have all of these amazing weapons, and the sets force you into one, and just one, and it may be one that you have no desire to use. Add onto this, Integral modulation is horribly misleading. I was expecting, based on the name, that it would automatically remodulate my weapon every few shots (3-5, maybe 7). Instead it's just another click. Sure, it's not taking an inventory item, but since it can be used in combat it is adding another level of micromanaging to an already clunky combat scenario (ground). Make it actually integral/automatic, or give us a choice of weapons.
Short 3: Borg specific kits. I know Sci officers used to have one. Why do we not have these back? Get one for each profession -- Sci with their shield destroy and heal mixes, Tac could have a static grenade integrated into a suppression or overwatch kit, Eng could have an AoE weapon malfunction of some sort. But give use something. Make them cost 40-60 EDC each, and again it gives purpose to farming those STF's over and over (and over...and over...and OVER...) again.
Medium: Worthwhile FE content. They way the FE's are, they are just too short, and unsatisfying, and all seem to have at least one part that is nothing but a long drag-out annoyance and time sink, usually with a nice visual set piece (Vault and Bajor, I'm looking at you). Give me something actual to do, a reason to want to replay these missions, better pacing, less "mailman" work. Something.
Medium 2: Move the borg/edc vendors OUT of DS9. Put them back in Gamma where they belong! I'm sure there is some reason why DS9 was chosen, but...it just strikes me as horribly odd that such a critical front is being left untended, with your elite force several sectors and a transwarp gate from their foe.
Long: Content. Content. Content. There are so many sectors, so many planets. I wonder often how many people have even done all of the patrol missions, but once you've done it once there is no real incentive to do it again. The Borg are all big and bad. We get it. How about you work some Undine back in? Terradome could use a whole lot of love. Get us some Jem'hadar STF's -- unlike the Borg, these guys present an ACTUAL challenge, not just a flawed mechanic.
Long 2: Bring back an ACTUAL STF. Quickplay is fine for these ones that older players have already run a few hundred times, before f2p. And another few hundred after f2p. And I know this is asking a lot when the current STF's are so bugged and borked that you have to resort to exploits to finish some of them (Cure ground with no Sci on team). But I want an actual STF back, even if it is done as sequential episodes; you've shown you can lock a replay without having a prior part done. That would apply fine, let a fleet work together to get some tactics down, a reason to replay parts as you are bringing new members up, and an incentive to finish beyond just the Prototype drops, but full Set that can be gotten as a reward only. 3-5 Episodes, each with a piece that you need to do the next part to upgrade, guaranteed drop. Armor, PSG, Weapon, that gives you 9-15 replays right there, easily. With purpose. And without the aggravation of RNG TRIBBLE you out of drops.
Unlike the guy above me ... I just have 1 request. Bug test new patches before you release them. I volunteer to test any & all patches in the future. I will sign a NDA, I will do w/e is required for you to NOT release anymore broken F.E.'s or break things as you patch others.
Short term:
*Keep Anomalies on planetary away missions from being stuck in the ground and unscannable.
*Fix Stealth/Shield glitch in Deflector Array description/functionality (as it is, if a Deflector array says it adds a [STL] it's stats show it actually adds a Shield Strength bonus, if it says it adds Stealth and Shields it shows a double shield bonus)
*remove fees for basic body changes and rank changes in Tailor mode (pay EC etc for new clothes and attachments, but not changes to height, weight, or increasing a BOff's rank insignia to match their promotion. As it is, giving a subtle body makeover can cost 10's of thousands of EC, far more than a complete uniform makeover... and rank insignia should be free in my opinion)
Mid term:
*Add Ranged/Melee weapon slots for BOffs, switchable as appropriate (empty melee switches to unarmed combat when enemy is near, empty ranged defaults to melee combat and BOff will move to target like they currently do)
*Crafting Overhaul: Allow Stat-Mod modules when crafting and modules for all commonly available Stats (DMG, PLA, SIF, etc). Appropriate Mod slots: (1 for Uncommon, 2 for Rare, 3 for Very Rare). This is to allow better customization of crafted items. Certain Mods (DMG, SPD, CAP) could stack where others (damage type, turning, deflector stats) might not. Mods would be crafted more like schematics. Consoles would not use Mods.
*Fix height glitches for BOffs in bridge view (my Tellarite's hands disappear into consoles and my Gorn's feet disappear into the floor when sitting in a chair)
Very Long Term:
*Unlock Factions:
-Unlock Klingon at Fed lvl 20
-Unlock Cardassian at Klingon lvl 30
-Unlock Romulan at Cardassian lvl 40
-Unlock Borg at Romulan lvl 50
Each Faction must be played at least 10 lvls to unlock the next one, lvling a Fed to 50 would not unlock all factions. 1 Faction specific character slot awarded each time a faction is unlocked. Faction toons would be leveled based on lvl needed to unlock, similar to the way Klingon character is highly leveled by the time you get through tutorial.
*Borg specifics:
-No "Classes"... A Borg is a Borg is a Borg... they're all drones... Any Kit can be worn by any Borg. Borg Captain abilities will be Borg Specific, such as Borg Remodulation ((sets a bonus damage resistance to 1 or 2 damage types currently being used against you)), Assimilate Crew ((replenish your own crew stock while draining an enemy's)), Assimilate Enemy ((ground ability, temporarily turns 1 enemy to your side: NPC will die after medium time runs out, Player will revert back after short time runs out, 3 minute cooldown or longer))
-3 standard (1 chosen at Borg toon creation) ships Drone, Sphere, Cube. C-Store ships Tact Cube and (if copyright allows) Diamond.
-Photonic Fleet specific to ship type (Drone calls 1 Cube, 2 Spheres; Sphere calls 1 Cube, 3 Drones; Cube calls 2 Spheres, 3 Drones).
-All Borg ships should be adaptable: either A) all Universal BOff stations similar to Klingon Birds of Prey (1 Cmd, 1 Lt Cmd, 2 Lt), or 1 Universal CMD and 1 Lt of each other class, or C) 3 Universal Lt Cmd.
*Sector Block Specific warzones/arenas allowing limited factions:
-Fed Warzone: Fed, Klingon, Cardassian Players vs Borg NPC
-Klingon Warzone: Klingon, Cardassian, Romulan Players vs Borg NPC
-Cardassian Warzone: Cardassian, Romulan, Fed Players vs Borg NPC
-Romulan Warzone: Romulan, Fed, Klingon Players vs Borg NPC
-Borg Warzone: Massive area, allows all factions, special objectives for Borg Players, always grants lvl appropriate very rare items for completing objectives, higher XP and BOff Skill Points for completing 3 rounds
Short;
- universal first officer slot on all ships would be great and really add a lot of different play styles
I was thinking this earlier lol would be a great idea and addition and certainly give the first officer some use, but only for Captain rank and higher.
Most of mine would be interior ship/life onbaord a starship based goals as I feel that being one of the key elements in the star trek universe, its lacking badly here.
Short:
- Being able to interact with bridge officers when on your bridge
- Crew talking to with you and other crew in passing (when aboard your ship)
- Bridge Officers and crew being active on your ship for example; moving to different work stations, walking about etc on the bridge, making use of the turbo lift, Eating in the mess hall (actually see them at a table with a bowl/plate infront of them.) Not fixed to one spot like they currently are.
Mid:
- Duty officer slots for active chef and chief medical officer, providing small bonus's to crew. For example a chef may have a trait that will allow crew to recover slightly faster. Then seeing them working in the mess/sickbay.
- Shuttlebay, why this isnt already ingame I have no idea. Being able to go to your shuttlebay, See your current shuttle craft docked, and customize it.
- Small personal assignment given to you by intracting with crew and BOs. Like talking to your chief of sercurity and investigating a crime aboard your ship, or assisting engineering with upgrades.
- Adding the brig and cargo bays as options to travel to.
Long:
- Borg boarding partys side missions. After a fight with the borg and returning to sector space, chance to find out you had been boarded. Opens up mission to clear your ship of borg. Ignoring the mission could put your ship at a disadvantage.
- Alt means of nagivating sector space via your bridge and view screen.
- Random space encouters while aboard your ship, ship has a chance to get hit by a shockwave or weapons fire while your walking around your ship. Would go to red alert and you'll have to return to your bridge, sitting at your chair and putting the encounter on screen. Which would then promt a fight with a NPC ship or 2 in extrior view.
Klingon Missions as a Marauder in Sirius Space (not DOFF-Missions!). And fix the Bugs (Enemy Faction BO can't wear / Can't Transwarp to Federation- and Cardassian-Space).
Middle-time Requests:
Playiable romulan Faction.
More Space (e.g. Ferengi-Sectors (and more Mini-Games))
Be a Fleet-Admiral and Team-Up with all owned Ships and Shuttles and go with them into Missions.
These short term changes are small, easy changes that should be well worth the development time spent on them. In fact, they should not require very much development time at all.
1. Add a "cancel" button at the point in the login process where character servers are contacted, so we don't end up having to use the task manager to kill the game when the servers are down, nor wait twenty minutes for the game to give up trying to connect.
2. Add per-individual permissions to fleet bank tabs. My fleet has six divisions, each specializing in one form of content. We'd like each division to have their own tab, with two open tabs. As it stands, we can't do that. This is only one possible scenario where the current permission options fall short.
3. Finally take the step to allow special rewards, such as holiday items or feature episode rewards for on-time completion, to be purchased with C-Store credits. Ensure the C-Store version can be distinguished by sight but is of similar quality to the original items. Cryptic needs money. Don't hold back revenue sources.
Mid Term
These are goals that would take some work, but would improve upon player retention and enhance game elements.
1. Work on server stability. Let's face it -- nobody who is not at your data center can guess with any claim to validity what the problem is. But whatever it is, this will cost subscriptions in the long run.
2. Begin a stock-market-like dilithium exchange account system whereby any person who maintains a minimum balance of dilithium or C-Points may purchase C-Points at a discount in dilithium and sell at a mark up. What your in-game money market is missing is an entry method for investors. This would resolve that, and create a sub-game many people would play. A gold account should be required to access this. Finally, the market would not be stagnant. It would be advisable that C-Points purchased at a discount only be accessible to sell, not spend.
3. Implement a system to move player created content out of the foundry and into the galaxy as regular content. Reasonably high community approval of a foundry mission should be required for this, but it would enable your players to assist in content expansion in a meaningful way. When a mission graduates in this way, upgrade its rewards slightly.
Long Term
1. Allow foundry missions to be designated as "Deep Space" missions, and open up new options in creation when this is used (assets not normally accessible, custom star systems, etc). When a player approaches Deep Space, give them the option to warp into it and launch a random Deep Space mission. Now you can explore the frontier!
2. Create event sets whose availability is non-linear. For example, a first event may be a battlefield wherein the winning faction determines what subsequent events occur. This gives players incentive to care about the Federation-KDF war. It should sting when your side loses, and be something to celebrate when they win, but the subsequent events should not grant one side disproportionate advantage. It should only be available to the winning side for at least a few days, and then the losing side (having had time to recover) launches a new offensive to try to take back the subsequent content.
3. This is a general thing, but work on revenue. You guys need to bring in enough bacon to feed your programmers, and programmers need a lot of bacon! Without solving this, no other long term goal is realistic. I'd recommend simply asking the community, "What would be worth paying for?" There is one thing gamers never run out of: criticism. Leverage everything you can to your advantage, including that.
Addendum
I'm sure I'm wasting my time. Nobody will read this; especially a developer. If I'm wrong, I can imagine how it would go: "Hey, Jim, look at this! Good ideas, but too bad he doesn't know blah blah blah." Ugh. Good luck, devs!
This has probably been mention already, but I would like to see missions aboard your own ship. Maybe random missions like engineering troubles, medical emergencies, visiting diplomats, and the like. You are 'hailed' by an appropriate Bridge Officer to begin the mission, and it involves visiting locations on your own ship, like the Bridge, Sickbay, Crew Lounge, you name it. Another alternative would be combat missions, where your ship is boarded by hostile forces, and you and your crew have to fight them off.
Please Cut down on the lock box's in all most every STF i go too i get nothing but Green Lock Box's last STF i did i got 20 of them i don't care if there in game just cut down on them please.
Short term:
1. Romulan attributes for editing alien characters, plus Romulan uniforms.
2. Dump the key requirement for locked boxes - too expensive!
3. Greater interactions and activities on planets including diplomacy mini missions.
Mid Term:
1. A Romulan faction (although I know this will end up long term.
2. An exploration planet for Feds & hunting planet for Klingons whereby the planet maps are huge and include different terrains, climates, weather, and day & night time shifting. There would be items to collect, mini missions, interactions, problem solving, and the ultimate - a dilithium mine with a huge quantity of dilithium that would randomly appear hidden anywhere on the planet and players would compete to find it. Idealy 3 mines appearing 1 at a time within a 24hr period once or twice per month as a special event prize.
3. Shuttlecraft races with a variety of track circuits including hazards and prizes for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.
Long Term:
1. A Romulan faction.
2. More missions for VA's
3. Greater range of bridge officer skills and greater ability to retrain them - maybe send them to a specialist training facility for advanced skills possibly multi skilling & ability to select a variety of skill combos - Science = Daestrom Institute or Vulcan Science Academy; Engineering = Europa Planetia; Tactical = San Fransisco or Andoria Tactical College, and as appropriate for other factions.
-A shield (not a full item set) that gives your a ship a mirror universe skin
-More specialty items form the DOFF missions like the turrets
-Ability to craft / purchase more type-s energy weapons (I don't like phazers)
Mid Term
-More shuttle missions they are a welcome change of pace
-A holodeck with loadable combat programs to test different Builds
Long Term
-A poker minigame playable with other players
-Ability to add shuttle restrictions to foundry missions
-Ability to add DOFF missions to the foundry (stock mission templates with modifiable txt to keep from farming)
-A Customization slot for your ship so you can change skins with items independent of shields, deflectors, ext. these items could be crafted, bought (GPL C-store whatever), quest rewarded, DOFF rewarded, vet rewarded, or maybe all of the above.
-Non Borg STF's (maybe a 2 person STF)
-Ability to play STF's in classic mode
I'm either asking a horrifically noobish question or the feature doesn't exist, but why can't my character walk? He either jogs or sprints. Sometimes, a guy just needs to get his swagger on. You know? Take some time to smell the roses.
EDIT: I found the option for walking in teh Key Bind section in Options. By default, it's blank.
Skill Points
It seems that once I've reached Vice Admiral, I no longer accumulate skill points and cannot advance in any of the skills. I don't see why this should happen. I'm still playing the game and I would personally like to be able to max out all of those skills. It would at least give me goal...something to motivate me each day and encourage me to come back to play some more.
Mid Term
Provide a complete list of doffs.
Now that I've reached Vice Admiral, I find myself doing the same things over and over. One of the the things that keep me going are the assignments I can send duty officers on. My goal is to have all purple doffs, but when I go to the exchange, I can only search for them by name. If I type in "Doctor" I don't get a list of doctors. If there was a list of doffs somewhere for reference, perhaps somewhere on the station where I could access a terminal that allows me to use various sorting options for the doffs, it wouldn't be such a painful process to find doffs that I need.
This shouldn't be too difficult as I'm assuming that all of the data is stored in a database of sorts and it would only require an interface and simple queries to extract the information desired.
Long Term
Player Owned Space/Ground Stations
Vice Admirals do not generally gallavant about the galaxy looking for things to do. They tell people what to do and they make decisions from behind a desk. A desk that is located on a station, either on the ground or in space.
As we come up through the ranks, we can select a variety of ships and we can customize them to our liking. Why not a station? Of course, it would be purchased in the same manner that ships are. There are some that are free and some that you use C points to acquire. Once you acquire your station, you can design the floor layout and decide what features are available for you and your fleet. You can then staff it with bridge officers that command the various departments; Engineering, Medical, Science, Security, Operations, etc. And how about that office I mentioned earlier? There could be a receptionist out front that welcomes you by name whenever you stop to talk to her/him.
If you have a fleet, they can go to that base whenever they wish to make use of the services you have available at the station; change your ship, use the exhange, change your clothes, etc.
And why not set up a similar "mini-game" like the one for Duty Officers, but if you're a Vice Admiral, your doffs would be ships of various classes and purposes. There could be a separate set of accolades for admirals...perhaps even a new rank - Fleet Admiral.
There's a lot of possibility with this concept and it looks like the basic architechure is in place to make this happen. I also realize that something like this would take a while to plan, test and implement, but it would certainly be something to look forward to and I think it would keep people coming back.
I'm either asking a horrifically noobish question or the feature doesn't exist, but why can't my character walk? He either jogs or sprints. Sometimes, a guy just needs to get his swagger on. You know? Take some time to smell the roses.
I as wondering if this was possible! I see the NPC characters walking about, and I want my character to move at a walking pace as well. He looks silly jogging everywhere. XD
I as wondering if this was possible! I see the NPC characters walking about, and I want my character to move at a walking pace as well. He looks silly jogging everywhere. XD
Turns out, it was a noob question after all LOL.
I found it in the key bind section Options. You can set a hot key to walk. By default, it's blank. I guess my list can be shortened now.
Short: Add storage to our ships. Seriously, it's a ship, we already have a room, why not have a closet and/or chest in it we can use? Give us the option to craft in our ships. Even if we have to pay for it. As in buying a module or a chest from the cstore.
Medium: Give us a blank slate as far as our ship interiors. Or failing that, give us a way to mix-and-match our interiors with other interiors, the way we can custom mix sections of our ships. For example, the bridge from one interior might look better with the crew deck of yet another interior.
Long: Give us more types of ships, not just warships. Add mining and cargo ships. Perhaps even cruise ships. Mining ships would give a bonus to scans for data samples. Cargo ships might be an alternate way for us to earn energy credits. Cruise ships would be a way to earn latinum.
Add more function ground side.
Short: Create more social areas on more planets. This would be a wonderful cstore item.
Medium: Housing. Let players have a place to relax in between missions. Look at other MMO's, and see how popular housing and house decorations are. Cstore content would be very popular.
Long: Let us own property that pays for itself. Farms, ranches, mines, factories. This could lead to player created communities.
Add more factions.
Short: The KDF should be playable from 1-50. There is no reason that there can't be KDF versions of low level Fed missions.
Medium: Romulan faction. This is hands down what just about everyone wants to see. You can virtually port over KDF faction content to the Romulans side seamlessly.
Long: A neutral faction. Any race and ship and planet, any sector. All species would be welcome. All ships would be available. Players could choose missions to help SF, the KDF, or non-aligned factions.
Long: Can somebody pleaaaase add some life to the ground missions?
It seems every where I go I'm either by myself or creeping up on a patrol.
Medium: It would be cool if we can shout orders from the bridge.
Long: Give the ability to walk outside on top of our ships.:)
Medium: Add more stuff to do on the brigde.
Short: Add more crew members walking around the ship.
Long: Add a holodeck to every ship.
Long: The option to roam around your ship while in red alert ( fixing plasma leaks ect.)
Short: Add a track list so WE can choose different soundracks from the Star Trek T.V series and movies
while playing the game.
Long: Add realistic effects to astronomical objects ( Extreme gravity on planets where its hard for our ship
to move ect..)
Long: Its not really Sol system if its only one planet. Where are all these at?...........( Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn ect......)
Short Term:
1. Revamped STF System that requires players to have completed at least 5 runs on normal and advanced before playing on elite difficulty STF runs. Secondly implement an automatic ranking system that gives points towards people who successfully complete STF runs. Third of all, force everybody to finish the same objective before going on to the next one. This will incentivize people to work together better.
2. Enterprise C that is either a skin or it's own ship. If it's a skin, it must give the Enterprise D a better turn-rate and be smaller in size with respect to the galaxy class.
3. Release the Andorian battle cruiser and Ferengi Dkora Class Marauder
Mid Term:
1. Better Sorting options for my inventory. Along these lines, let us have access to our personal bank and fleet bank from within our ships.
2. Make our ship's sick bay be viable. Sick bay's doctor/s should be able to heal critical, major, and minor injuries.
5. Playable Romulan and Reman characters for the Feds and Klings along with customizable Romulan and Reman Uniforms
6. Give Fleet leaders and senior officers the ability to designate home bases, as well as the ability to transwarp there.
7. Give us some black cat pets/panthers to go along with our Caitians please
8. More Klingon daily missions that involve bribery and marauding
A Bribery Missions: You have to bribe 2 or 3 people down on a planet. Depending on their mood, which you must judge for yourself, you might have to convince them to do X with reason A or convince them to do Y with reason B. Fail to bribe one person results could result in an ambush that you must survive. It can have a two or three minute timer. If you survive, you will have the option of bribing two more people. However, if you fail to bribe the second person, you are forced to escape to a beamout zone. You will also have to reach the beamout zone within a specific time limit or you fail the mission and die.
If you do happen to sucessfully bribe the second person, the third person will let you bribe them but on the condition that you offer them a means of escape. You could mix and match what happens after you bribe the second and third person. Maybe they mug you and try for a quick escape. Maybe if you refuse to help the third person escape, the third person turns you into the authorities.
To create a really cool twist, you could even make a subplot that involves us turning in the corrupt officials, politicians to the local authorities.
You could even tie in real missions with doff missions. For example, after a you reach level 3 doff diplomacy, you get access to special emergency beam out beacons that you can place in different areas of the bribery mission map.
B. Marauding Missions
An example of a conquest mission would be going to a poor planet and demanding that they give you resources through intimidation and extortion. You could make it have the same dynamic I describe above. Have three villages, each with a chance to give more resources if you sucessfully extort money/resources from them. However, you have to convince some of the villagers to go along with your plan. When you talk to villager X, you can offer them a certain amount of credits (3 different amounts) to help convince the villagers that giving up their money/resources is the best idea. If you come to an agreement with a villager, your chances of intimidating and extorting the whole village successfully increase. However, you could still sucessfully get the village to hand over it's resources without the help of a few greedy villagers .
Ok, so, let's go through an example run. I come to village A. Once I get there, I have to intimidate X number of people. If I'm sucessful, the whole village gives me 60 provisions or 15 antigens or 20 medical supplies. If I'm unsuccessful, the whole town riots. I will still get some provisions but it will only be about a 1/4 of what I receive when I'm succesful. If the Village A riots there's a small chance (10%), that village B will riot. There's an even smaller chance that Village C will riot (2%), but it's highly unlikely . Anyways, you catch the general drift. There are a lot of ways you could organize it, and I'm sure you can think of more.
4. Put shuttle bays in our ships where we can store 1 or 2 of our shuttles. Give us the ability to fly out of our shuttlebays in our shuttle or to have team-mates/BOFF's fly out of our shuttlebay in our shuttle/s.
As already mentioned, I'd like to have more war zones, and a graphics change how "dieing works out" (admit openly that PC's cannot die anyway, so let them automatically escape heavily damaged instead of dieing).
Additionally, I would find it awesome if we could have autofire for Redistribute Shields if you are on Red Alert and other powers where appropriate.
Comments
2. I would like to see all special ships in the c-store after the promotional period for them is done.
3. universal bridge officer slots on all ships.
4. The ability to craft XII OR XIII gear.
( like 10 of each)
Short;
- universal first officer slot on all ships would be great and really add a lot of different play styles
- fix bug that sees bridge crew 'falling into the floors' at their stations when you go to visit the bridge
Mid;
Long;
- Benzite BOFFs
- Special ground trait - 'The Kirk Effect'. Special ability that causes your character to 'lose their shirt' for an additional +10 hit points, +10 knockback and +10 seductiveness.
Middle-time Requests:
Long-time Requests:
Medium: New foundry assets
Long: Betazed, Xenex, Ferenginar, Tellar/Sauria sector block
1) Remove the annoying "XY has been issued a Galor class cruiser" message, or add an option to turn it off.
2) Whenever I post an auction, I get a message saing "AuctionFailed: item successfully posted". Why "failed"?
3) Make Cardassian Lock Box Keys a rare drop. This might even get those ppl who hate monetization loot drops consider buying a key.
Walking
2.5. Revamp the ship tier system according to Suricata's Ship Tier Revamp proposal:
Found here: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=257999
3. Playable caitian ships
4. More PVP maps, More STF's, More FE's
Long-Term:
1. Playable Romulan Faction (with Remans, too)
2. Fleet Space Stations
3. Implement a Ferengi Doff System
Found here: http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?t=256824
4. Put shuttle bays in our ships where we can store 1 or 2 of our shuttles. Give us the ability to fly out of our shuttlebays in our shuttle or to have team-mates/BOFF's fly out of our shuttlebay in our shuttle/s.
5. Klingon Singleplayer Expansion
Additionally, I would find it awesome if we could have autofire for Redistribute Shields if you are on Red Alert and other powers where appropriate.
