    Is there any chance of there being any feline parts for the Alien editor?
    I hope to be able to create my own nekomimi and I don't mean Caitian.

    This wont be the last time someone asks for this, either. I'm sure of that.

    • Short-term requests
      • On ground missions the powers tray always snaps back to one actionbar after every cinematic or loading screen. It would be great if the powers tray on ground missions will remember it's last setting (e.g. three actionbars) as the space powers tray does.
      • I'd like my "Number One" being only one rank below my own. This works only until captain. But as a Vice Admiral I am always the highest rank on board, so it would not be a problem, if my "Number One" was a Vice Admiral Upper Half. At least you should be able to use the accordant insignia on the uniform. And concerning trek lore: remeber Kirk being happy when he was degraded from Admiral to Captain, because as an Admiral he was bound to a boring bureau. So Admirals should not even fly around. As they do in STO BOs should be promotable to Captain and above.

      • I miss the possibility to have a look on your in-game mail via startrekonline.com Please give it back to us. Maybe as a GOLD feature?
      • I wish my entire crew wearing the same uniforms as me and my BOs. You should be able to create templates for ENG/SCI/TAC, maybe different uniforms for male and female crewmembers.
      • Let the DOffs run around our ships whenever they're not on a mission.
    • Long-term requests
      • BO/DO can command his own ship. Preferably one ship the player owns but doesn't use anymore.
      • Capture and hold ground PvP
      • Physical improvements. If I run through water, it shall splash around my feet. At the moment the water behaves as if nothing happens.

    Just recently, I was in the PvP and got my butt kicked several times Klynons with very impressive attack runs. I respawned and this time, I enlisted my son as a navigator while I worked the tacticle and together we were able to make a better stand and even defeated one of the Klynons...

    My proposal is this:

    expand the game where players can join one ship, coordinating the battle through the text menu and/or mic communications. This would be cool for family/grouped gamers play with multiple computers without mics and also could include gamers spread out around the world with a decent communications option.

    Expand the game where players can have up to four ships in play as there own small fleet to command with pre programed attack runs and/or programable attack runs. This small fleet would be a selection of their own ships bought or captured.

    I would really like to see more communications available during combat. Offers of surrender, boarding a surrendered vessel, loot etc. A market for captured vessels could be created in the exchange as a pretex for behind enemy lines combat and/or sabotage.

    I saw something about fleet starbases and that would be cool. For a fleet to create their own starbase where resources donated by the players can be voted on by the players for construction of starbases, location of starbases, and improvments. PvP action could include one fleet raiding a enemy fleet starbase, distroy, loot etc.minimum starbase creation set at 50members to build one base, 100 members to build a second base. expand the format to include all playable races. Borg fleets, klynon fleets, federation, romulyn, cardassian, etc, etc.

    Exploation missions need to be completely overhauled. A basic format needs to be created for various exploration missions. For example actually Mapping unknown starsystems. Real geological surveys of unknown planets, Real surveys for colonial settlements that you may be in charge of. Resources discovered and utilized on a market of trade from one fleet to another or redeemed through the federation, klynons, etc.

    A option for a different view for combat. an actual console view in a bridge layout to work from. A 3D style tacticle map for targeting an enemy. My biggest problem is being able to see the enemy ship movements in a dogfight. From a 3D X/Y axle map it may be easier to do coordinated tacticle and navigation manouvers.

    A trip to nasa neadquarters woule be required by the game designers and research team for ST online. There may be some people there that could be hired on a consulting basis. A trip to some university's to employ someone on a consulting basis for geology, archeology, etc would play a big part in expanding the game.

    PvP and PvE need to be expanded as in more missions need to be created. A player can only do the same mission so many times before getting bored.

    I would also like to see this game on the stock market for players to invest in as a means to help offset the costs of the work on the game.

    I wish my entire crew wearing the same uniforms as me and my BOs. You should be able to create templates for ENG/SCI/TAC, maybe different uniforms for male and female crew members.
    I'd also like to be able to select a single RACE for my ship's generic crew and DOs. I would like a Gorn crew on my Gorn ship, with it's Gorn captain and bridge officers. :)

    Short Term: Sandwiches. I know of only one kind of sandwich currently available in the game. This is unacceptable.

    Mid Term: Non-Borg STFs, and/or fixing Terradome.

    Long Term: Currently ships and the galaxy in general feels very small, especially planets. It's cool to be able to fly around earth or other planets, but the scale makes my Galaxy-X look the size of a small country.

    First off, I'd like to point out that I am a Gold Member who bought a lifetime subscription. Yes, I am asking for special treatment. I have been a loyal player to this game. Stuck it out through and through and did my best to promote the game and convince players who thought about quitting to keep playing. I would appreciate some sort of notification that my response was read and taken into consideration especially since I did NOT complain about the slap in the face move the Free to Play was for me and others like me. Though at first I was rather angry by this, especially since the difference between gold and silver isn't very much, I am not now and I wish that my suggestions be taken into GREAT consideration as well as any other Goldies who posted here.

    Short term:
    -When my ship enters a system out of warp, can it just fade out for now instead of coming to a dead stop?
    -When I jump into warp and I'm at the edge of a map, can't it just zoom forward instead of sliding around? Also, it needs to disappear. I keep seeing it after I've zoomed off.
    -Can we get a less boring view screen? At least something a little more interesting until something better comes on down the road?
    -I am sick of beaming from my bridge to tactical view. Just have it cut to a loading screen, please

    Mid-Term
    -End the Klingon/Federation war!
    -Fleet Starbases
    -A new series
    -Shuttle bays. And I want to be able to see my actual shuttles and small craft.
    -A universal LT. Commander and LT. console for the Assault Cruiser. Or better yet, make them ALL universal. And on the subject of the Assault Cruiser, how about a special Quantum Torpedo device that increases the chances of a critical hit or even a chance to penetrate shielding.
    -A shipboard doctor
    -A shipboard tailor
    -Poker
    -An active chef

    Long-Term
    -A ten episode series with more time travel and encounters with famous Trek icons
    -The ability to travel through warp while in the ship interior. And on that note, a customizable interior that matches the scheme of the bridge. Also, crew uniform customization.
    -Transitional loading screens: basically, when I drop out of warp, the screen should transition into a star field, begin loading the map and then drop out of warp. For transporting to ground from space, just cover the screen with some transporter graphic, load, and then remove the graphic to reveal the player transporting in.
    -The ability to record my gameplay. Something similar to the theater engine in Halo 3
    -More sectors. Time to start thinking about inter-universe travel; travel between galaxies. This is the 25th century after all.
    -The ability to serve on other player's ships during missions. I could use my abilities at one of his stations and assist by manning a phaser or two. This option could even expand into damage control. This could even translate into boardings where I go aboard another player's vessel and take it over.
    -Events that affect system control
    -More playable factions
    -Something to do on Risa

    I'd also like to add these to my list. Especially the short term. I also expect to be able to customize my sandwich. It better not have f***ing pickles on it.

    OMG if I run into the same bugs that have been declared to be fixed again I am gonna scream! I helped a new player with Night of the Comet and the bar fight bug was STILLL THERE! -1 in integrity cryptic you declared it was fixed. The only thing you should be working on now is the problems that already exist, stop adding more stuff that bugs up even worse e.g. Defera Invasion Zone.

    Revised list from way before would be:

    1. Fix bugs and errors for 1 week per month and 3 weeks to be other things.
    2. Start planning and designing for medium term some sandbox gameplay that can be like player generated but not the foundry, maybe a economy that is player driven like from eve with mining manufacturing, selling of final goods, all stages of production for those who would like to do such things.
    3. Long term, have a long term goal in mind and tell the people what it is and try to get it to that stage in stages one stage per year so basically a roadmap ppl can follow on the site and STICK TO IT! Because sto seems to just release this that and the other with no clear plan of the final game coming to the players because all we are seeing is random stuff added which doesnt seem to form a solid motion of what you want the game to end up like in the long haul. Random things are nice but if they arnt aiming for a long term goal it seems there just quick plugins to satisfy the short term enjoyment factor to keep players playing which is ok but i would much rather see a long term feature by feature leading up and building up to a whole which intergrates it all nicely to show one glorious star trek online universe.

    I have another idea:

    Mid/Long Term: Ship boarding. In your first trailer, you showed Klingons boarding federation vessels. Please make this an ability, and make all the bridge officers on the bridge fight the boarders too. Also allow for in bridge gameplay for friends (i.e. The captian pilots while his friend mans the tactical console, which enables a shooter mode style targeting mode for friend to shoot enemy ships at will.), like in Star Trek: First Contact, when Worf comes aboard from the Defiant and helps at tactical on the Enterprise-E.

    I only have one request right now... I love the game and finally found my race... I'm a ferengi :)

    My one request is that other than a holo emitter, I would love to have a permanent ship to fly as a ferengi, i want to fly a D'Kora... I think there should be other ships besides the federation to fly...

    For my example, a shipyard on Ferenginar to sell ferengi their class of ships :)

    I don't want to just look at my shuttles in the shuttlebay. I want to select one without visiting a shipselection officer in ESD or DS9. Maybe I just wander around my shuttlebay and have a look at the interior of my shuttles and small crafts. An when I'm near the helm control in the cockpit an interaction button should pop out. And when I click this button a launchsequence will be played and the shuttle is set as active ship. This would add to the mission "Cloaked intentions" in the romulan (reman?) campaign.

    SHORT TERM GOAL

    Make it so we can tailer the uniforms of ur ship crew. It doesn't look right when you walk around your ship and you crew is wearing different style clothes than your bridge crew. They should just make a male and female template to alter the unorms so the player can set differences in gender clothing.


    MID TERM GOAL

    Make a first officer bridge consel that reflects the first officer's rank. If he or she is a commander, give them a commander bridge consel that has 4 ablilty slots. Its way everyone of every class can enjoy using the full potential of their number one officer. Make sure player must pay cryptic point to change 1st officers just like you have to pay to change your captain's name.


    LONG TERM GOAL

    Starfleet has been concentrating on bringing us new variants of existing class ships and the new Odyssy Class ship but they have neglected a way to conunter balance the Klingons carriers. A team with two or more carriers are are more than a match for a team of non-carrier ships. It's because they have support ships and fighters that server as extra weapons and make a distraction for opposing ships. Its time the Federation makes some carriers of their own to meet the Klingons with retaliation.

    First, a couple of disclaimers.

    1. I've only been playing since the F2P launch.

    2. I deliberately avoided reading any other responses, not because of the volume (over 100 pages) but because I wanted these to be my own observations.

    My thoughts:

    Short-Term:

    1. A keybind layout scheme for ground interactions that more closely matches the default system in Champions Online. (Here, Q/E strafes while A/D turns; there it's the other way around. Here, F picks up; there, it's Z.) It doesn't need to match exactly; I'm just tired of switching between two different interfaces from the same company, and often getting them mixed up during play.

    2. An end to Merchants popping up in the middle of my trying to do other things from the console, only to say "I'm a busy man, so goodbye."

    3. Greater species availability In the Foundry. If it's a playable species, it should be in the Foundry.

    Mid-Term:

    1. A "copy uniform" function, so that whatever customizations the player make to the captain's uniform can be automatically copied to other Bridge Officers.

    2. The same "copy uniform" function, in the Foundry. And it should work regardless of the recipient's species. (This is actually more important to me than the above, but I suspect that the above would be easier to implement, and could be done first on the way to this one.)

    3. Androids and Holograms as PCs (a C-Store option, of course), and as BOffs.

    (Also a #4 priority: rename RearAdmiral, Lower Half to Commodore. Then Rear Admiral, Upper Half becomes simply Rear Admiral.)

    Long-Term:

    1. There's a discussion on how one could upload audio for use in Foundry Missions, including several clever suggestions on how it could be smoothly integrated into both the construction and the play of those Missions. I'd recommend taking a look at it, and seeing if something couldn't be done.

    2. "Number One, take the conn." I'd like to be able to turn the responsibilities for a starship battle over to my First Officer. There are many reasons I might need this: I might be called away AFK during mid-battle for something that can't wait, my hands may be too tired to handle a ship battle, I may just feel like watching it as an observer, etc. The battle would use my First Officer's skills and skill levels, and if she's normally at one of the consoles there'd have to be a replacement handy; that would keep this from being abused. But I do think it should be doable.

    3. Some means of providing extra rewards in Foundry Missions. A value could be expressed for various items, and when they're given as rewards, the value is taken out of the Skill Points awarded for the Mission. For example, in one that I'm working on I think it would be good to let the captains keep the Klingon Emergency Security Hologram who plays a part, as a unique, custom Duty Officer. Other reward options for the same Project could include Schematics, Devices, etc.

    I would like to see a more fluid mission system, for example since all the missions now match your level or so it seems, options that would take you through the missions on a different path, for example instead of following them in the current order klingon , romulan cardassian etc. why not let there be some sort of choice where you may be able to go from klingon to breen or borg or what ever and then come back to other missions. it would feel less regimented that way and give a little sense of freedom in your decisions.

    Short term:

    FIX EXISTING BUGS and upgrade the Klingons to full status like the Federation. Need missions/chains to do that? Look at the foundry. Set up a system in which foundry authors can be compensated somehow if their mission/series is converted into a main mission chain. You can compensate them with C-Store points if you feel queasy about giving them cash plus leave a credit note in the mission description, so their name will forever be included in the game. This does at least a couple of things: 1. more missions = more players = more money 2. more players will make more foundry missions in hopes of getting them picked up for c-store points = more foundry slot purchases = more money. 3. Quality missions at a low development cost.

    Also, figure out what the "micro" part of microtransactions means. $25 for a ship is not "micro" by any stretch of the imagination. Half that amount probably doesn't even apply as "micro" but would be better.

    Mid-Term:

    Custom craftable ship system. Give us a bunch of parts and let us kitbash our own ships together. A simple system involving various sets of attachment points would make it awesome. This game isn't canon, so our ships shouldn't have to be either. If the overlords at CBS balk, make the canon ships uncustomizable. Ship parts packs = c-store items = more money. Take a look at regular player ship design contests to entice people to model new ships for the new era with the prize being that the ship gets brought into the game as a playable ship and/or parts. More ships + more customization = more players = more money.

    Long-Term

    Playable Races: Romulans, Cardassians, Breen, and BORG. I mean full on cube/sphere/diamond flying Borg, not freed Borg. Missions for all of these would come from the aforementioned foundry sources. Ships would come from a mixture of canon and the ship design contests.

    Right (left?) click your character picture and select "Change Uniform". I forget which, at the moment.

    Every MMO I've played so far has had slightly different default keybinds, whether from the same company or not. However, they've also all had the option for me to customize my keybinds. In STO, hit ESC, select Options, and go to the Keybinds tab. Is pretty straightforward from there.

    I have just two simple and easy-to do requests:
    • When you are destroyed in space combat, you currently just blow up and respawn. Please make that an emergency warp out - a pure graphics change, that would not affect the actual game mechanics. You'd still gain an injury, you'd still respawn, it just would improve the illusion of how this all happens, for me.
    • Change the rank structure so that (at least optionally), I can be a level 50 player, but am called Captain, not Admiral, within the game.

    i would be glad to have him, even if it were just PVP, like klingon launch.. !! lore can be added later..

    -ships interior - i wanna adjust my captains quarters with new souvenirs, another colors... etc

    - last and least - foundry for design - let US design your planets, lets do a wiki full of models - unlicensed, free for all, where you programmers too - can use what you like!
    mainly wildlife, plants, rocks, ground designs..

    One request, it's simple. Increase the amount of DXP we get for doing Diplomatic Missions.
    Getting 10 DXP for a mission that takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete is ridiculous considering the limit to hit Ambassador is now 50,000! I mean if I can click on a DOFF mission and then sit back to do nothing and get several hundred DXP from that, it makes sense that I should get more for actually taking the time to do it myself.

You have a Vulcan science vessel available, PLEASE make others available for purchase in C-Store, like the Ferengi D'Kora :D Or also, at least make holo-emitters PERMANENT... 40,000 latinum for a holo-emitter of the Ferengi D'Kora that only last 15 minutes is a waste of effort to have in the game at all... I would be happy even with a permanent holo-emitter D'Kora :D

    Long Term

    Here's a very long term one... but have OTHER organizations... You have Federation and Klingon... for much later, I would like to see the actual Ferengi, Cardassian, Romulan, etc. as playable factions like the Federation and the KDF ;)

    I just wanted to say that the thing I complained about (the same downtine every night) has already been changed. I don't imagine that my post here had much to do with it, but still it's massive kudos for Cryptic in my eyes - for the last 3 nights, I have been able to play when I wanted.

    I assume this is not a permanent change, but I figured it would be nice if i put as much effort into saying "Good job, Cryptic!" as I did complaining about it.

    Short Term

    Re-add accolades for participating in deep space encounters (adds RP value to patrolling Federation space)
    Improve DSEs with greater challenge and random levels (they are far too weak now)
    Add 'small change' low cost costumes and uncommon players' equipment to the c-store, to encourage newer players to try cash purchases, and also to make use of the last 60 credits leftover from other purchases
    Long hair for male characters (ponytail not epic enough!)

    Mid Term
    More variety to FEs. I can more or less solo the Mirror Universe FE flagship now using a mere heavy cruiser, by parking my ship 9.9km above or below it.
    More variety = keeps people on their toes, and devs can randomly change the daily FEs for more varierty.
    De-limit ship pitch angle to allow "Wrath of Khan" Z-axis maneuvers and tactics.

    Long Term
    (more) Server wide spaceborne events. It helps to have a regular cast even if they were to make an appearance only once a week (weekends are the best).
    More benefits for subscribers, to differentiate between f2p/silver/gold -> and give some respect to the LTO subscribers.

    Mid-Term: Ability to exchange GPL with other players, ability to buy more vanity items with GPL to decorate your bridge.

    Long Term: A more in-depth GPL economy, and Ferengi Faction with better missions and ability to buy Ferengi ships

    I agree with all this except the first part. You can change pretty much anywhere by right-clicking on your toon's status bar and selecting "change outfit."

    I apologise if this is not what you meant though.

    But I digress...

    YES, make the gorram holo-emitters actually WORTH 40-80k GPL. It doesn't even need to be permanent, just not consumable. If you want to limit it, put a long cool down on it or something.

    As for the ships, the KDF gets ships of different races (granted, there's not a HUGE aesthetic difference); why do we Feds only get a Vulcan ship? I'd personally like to see an Andorian escort... one that resembles the warship from *mutters*enterprise*mutters* but is clearly 25th c.

    Also wholeheartedly agree on new factions. I want to play my Romulan character without feeling like a turncoat. :p And if/when the Romulan faction does come out, I hope we see a little more variety in ship design. BoPs, Mogais, and D'Deridexes are nice, but it'd be nice to see new designs. Apocrypha doesn't really add much, and most of the non-canon designs don't really look much different from what's already established.

    Cardies would be the next faction I'd like to see after that.

    Short-term

    - Death penalty. Respawning on the spot within a few secs is ridiculous. At least have us beamed up to the ship again in ground mission deaths (which is exactly what would happen in the series) or emergency-warp us out of the instance for space missions. And include injuries/damage even at normal difficulty starting with Leutenant.

    - Add a 100% flat&black ground map to the foundry.

    - Allow crafting in all central hubs.


    Mid-term

    -Add the following feature to the foundry: Any published mission has to mandatory state starting point, level range, ground/space/interior theme, length, rpg-action leverage. Include these categories in the search function.

    -Revamp fleet actions in a way that a tracker for each sector is added how "secure" it is. Tie both player AND Doff missions to that tracker so that more/better missions are available if the sector is "secure". This way fleet efforts could make a real impact in the game. this tracker should be influenced by both PvE and PvP actions.

    - Install a tracker that checks which random missions a player has allready finished and make the engine not reapeat any of those when the player is getting a random one on exploration missions - until the player has done all missions at least once, then the tracker is reset.


    Long-term


    - Introduce crafting skills for player characters with different Tactical, Science and Engineer options. Introduce career-exclusive recipes (Tactical for weapons etc.). Give Boffs also crafting skills and let them have a part in the process.

    - Introduce seperate story arcs for Tactical, Engineer and Science careers beside the main arcs.

    - Create guidelines for Foudry missions that are to become official random missions while on exploration. Make some of those Foundry missions official (less work for you, more variety for us)
