In beta since I now the names would be wiped I had,
USS Qubeley my Science ship named after a Mobile Suit from Zeta and ZZ Gundam
USS Hokage and Kazekage form Naruto
USS Kaneda name of my Akira class( I thought it was appropriate)
Currently have a light cruiser by the name of USS Jovian, which means "Of or relating to Jupiter" being that my character hails from one of the larger moons of said planet. The following ships will be USS IO, USS Europa, USS Callisto and USS Ganymede, which are the names of the lovers of Zues, the greek equivalent of the roman god Jupiter and the names of the 4 larger, inner moons of jupiter. Though I have a feeling that IO will be too short and have to go with USS Thermisto instead, which is the next largest moon in orbit around jupitar.
Cool. My Klingon ship will be the KDF Deimos, after the martian moon named for the son of Ares Deimos, the personification of dread.
USS Madison NCC-93344
No reason, was random in OB and I liked it.
USS Centennial
Was a random pick but I liked it...
Just out of curiosity, my Madison ship was also NCC-93344 in OB. Anyone else use the same name and notice the same designation number? I'm guessing it's an algorithm based on the ship name.
Darklight often is used in reference to a mystical power, sight, etc in sci-fi/fantasy. I've always just liked the sound of it.
IKS Mord'Sith
This one I got from the series Legend of the Seeker which is based off of the great book series Sword of Truth. The Mord'Sith are a sisterhood of ruthless powerful warriors that you really don't want to mess with.
My crew is made up of liberated Orion slave girls carrying a grudge. They're free now and out for revenge.
Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter (24 March 1607 29 April 1676) is the most famous and one of the most skilled admirals in Dutch history. De Ruyter is most famous for his role in the Anglo-Dutch Wars of the 17th century. He fought the English and French in these wars and scored several major victories, the best known probably being the Raid on the Medway. The pious De Ruyter was very much loved by his sailors and soldiers; from them his most significant nickname derived: Bestevaêr (older Dutch for 'grandfather'.) He is honoured by a statue in his birthplace Vlissingen, where he stands looking over the sea. Almost every town in the Netherlands has a street named after him.

EVE ships names are from classic Earth antiquity. They are VERY good names for ships.:)
Yep, I used Phobos as my shipname when playing Klingon Academy on GameSpy.
USS Charles Bass - the father of underwater archeology
USS Robert Ballard - his most famous student found the Titanic, Bizmarck and others.

Pretty sure Foggy Bottom refers to the State Dept. Anyway...
My Miranda is the USS Ingersoll, and in OB it was the Jason Naismith, both Galaxy Quest references.
My sci ship was and will be the Edward Lorenz, discoverer of sensitive dependence on initial conditions, otherwise known as the "Butterfly Effect"
My Klingon ship will be the Umshini Wami
..."Dathan and Picard, at El Adrel"
Did you try TARDIS? If so I must have got there first
