TOS Romulan Uniforms Silly gold helmet and all!

Naturally, I would like STO to open up the Romulans as a playable faction as well, but one step at a time. ;]

I posted this already, but I think I did it in another thread; at any rate, I'm not seeing it here (I think it was in one of the Foundry Features threads).

Basically, have someone comb through every clothing piece in Champions Online, cutting out most tights, capes, and other pieces that seem specific to the Champions Universe IP or the superhero look in general. That should leave a variety of casual and formal clothing, fantasy-genre wear, and other period pieces.

Then have someone do something similar with whatever you have at Neverwinter.

In the various TV series, how often did the crew either travel back in time, enter the holodeck (or holosuite) into a period piece, encounter a pre-warp native species (often with a remarkably Earth-like culture), or find some other reason to wear older styles? (The NX-01 is the only one for which I cannot think of any specific examples.)

Also, maybe they have a personal reason to wear these things. Maybe my captain is from Beta Iotia, and wears a pin-striped zoot suit when off duty. So why not?

    Oh my god.

A ship full of armoured knights.

    1920s Gangsters.

    Cavemen.

It's an idea so beautiful I could weep.

What? A starship full of cavemen?

    Never gonna happen.

MACO uniforms, from Enterprise, that aren't equipments.
    http://www.scifihero.net/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t2695.html

And if you're going to add that they should give you the option to use army ranking like Major and Colonel on the uniforms.

Also, the ability to design your own ship mission patch for your right shoulder, since fleet patch is on the left.

This may be more of an technical issue rather a costume issue, but I want to see transporter animation when I am whipping out my weapons. The reason behind this is to explain how we can have weapons just pop out into our hands and they did it in Elite Force. I know its not cannon, but it took place in Voyager's era and the tech in fiction must have improve by current time.

I'd like to see the "Alien" player characters have a set of their own costume parts. Maybe it's a mix of pre-existing, retextured gear, or just a set of new, Cryptic design gear that we can mix & match with.

Imagine the re-enactment opportunities. Medieval battles in Breaking the Planet!

Then do some Prohibition era roleplay on the holodeck!

Don 21st Century BDUs as you battle the Romulans like the cast of Stargate SG-1.

i`m not sure if anyone posted this idea or if it`s the right topic, but i`m going to give it a try

i`d really like to have a Scimitar ship costume for Guramba siege destroyer (i realise that adding the whole
ship would make it too hard to balance because of it`s traits)

the idea came to life because of the similarity of the special abbility of the Guramba destroyer and the Scimitar`s, not to mention i know a lot of people would like to buy and fly a Scimitar of their own :)

I have own Star Trek Online since beta. When i heard about the Wrath of Kahn Uniform i was super stoked. But i was disappointed in the lack of details. For instants where are the rank pips each jacket had the rank on the left sleeve and shoulder strap. I have also notices that the admiral variant of the officer jacket is missing the jacket with the additional gold trim. My last wish is for Scotty's vest and other alternative costume pieces for that era be included in STO. This would help time specific RP character out a lot beside the admiral flagship option....

    • Longer skirts
    • Wrath of Khan insignia
    • Parallels/"Barash" insignia
    • ENT MACO
    • Cardassian armour
    • VOY Flight Suit variant
    • TNG Medical gown

    Thanks, if anyone reads this!

Probably been asked before. There are Starfleet NPC's that wear armor, but they also wear boots over their armour.

It looks far cooler than regular armour. It would be a nice option.

Skirts for the ladies are all well and good, but we need some equal representation.

It's canon; you know what to do, Cryptic.

Didn't Picard also wear a long-gowned formal uniform in one of the first two seasons of TNG?

(And along a slightly different line of thought, there's always the good old Scottish kilt!)

Just wanted to repost my list of uniform wants again. I think its a good list even if I do say so myself:

    • "The Cage" / "Where No Man Has Gone Before" Uniforms

    • More Uniform Variants and Rank Insignias for the uniforms seen in ST II to ST VII and several episodes of TNG ("Yesterday's Enterprise", "Family", "Tapestry", etc.)

    • TNG Seasons 1 - 2 Uniforms

    • TNG Seasons 1 - 7 Dress Uniforms

    • Sash for Federation Klingons

    • Captain Picard's Vest from Star Trek: First Contact

    • Non-Commissioned Officers Rank Insignia as worn by O'Brien from DS9 Seasons 4 - 7

    • Provisional Officers Rank Insignia as worn by the Maquis in VOY Seasons 1 - 7

    • Admiral's Uniforms from TNG Season 1 through to Star Trek Nemesis

    • Starfleet Dress Uniforms from DS9 episode "You Are Cordially Invited" (slightly different from previous dress uniforms because of their quilted shoulders, gold around the sleve cuffs, and Federation belt)

    Thank you Cryptic.

I would like to see kilts for men. Why are there no kilt/skirt options for men? Not just kilts but long skirts as well. And not just plaid kilts. Solid colors and other patterns. And don't forget the sporran, please.

Indeed. They'd make for great additions too.

I'd also like to see them fix the open versions of the DS9 and FC uniforms too. The collars really bug me and I'd like to see them as more accurate representations of their TV counterparts.

I think, just in general, that various Earth-ethnic pieces would be good to put into a Costume Package for Off-Duty outfits: kilts, saris, kimonos, Nehru jackets, Native American pieces, and so forth. They'd be great not only for off-duty moments, but for use (in the Foundry as well as by staff) for missions to various times in Earth's past, worlds whose cultures parallel periods of Earth's history, etc.

What I would like to see, is that the accolades Starfleet Silver Star, Starfleet Cross und U.F.P. Medal of Honor should come with a costume option for your uniform. I think it would be really great to outfit your admirals coat or your ambassador uniform with these 3 highest possible commendations.

That'd be nice, but knowing cryptic I doubt it'll ever happen...

Another thing that'll never happen (but I can dream):
Trenchcoats! I want my Liberated Borg Section 31 operative to rock a trenchcoat!

Any chance we could get a second costume slot for each bridge officer?

However; for me to pay extra for and use that...there needs to be more complete uniform sets. Now don't get me wrong...I love the detail put into the uniform sets thus far; but the Wrath of Khan Jackets, The Motion Picture Jackets, and Original Series jackets (The Capt Pike ones) are not in there.

Were they in there; one could have a ship-board and away team uniform. I wanted this once I equipped the Omega set and unlocked that Uniform, which I am very pleased with by the way. Good job on that one as on all of them; really.

BUT....this only unlocks the Omega Uniform option for my character. It does not unlock it for my bridge officers. If it did; while it would look spiffy on the ground; it would look silly on the ship. So...I thought a second slot for them would be nice. Along those lines...if they have enterprise coveralls for shipboard; then the Enterprise jackets would be nice for ground. Or the motion picture jackets. Obviously you'd still buy those sets; but I'd like to not have to repurchase the ones I already have ;-).

Now I also wonder if I were to actually equip my BOFFs with the omega or maco sets would the uniform THEN be unlocked for them or not at all?

Two slots would be nice as it is tedious and foolish to change them; but two slots for each would be handy and nice. And it could set auto when going down...or manually if one wishes.

Edit: maybe some of Andrew Robinson's / Elim Garrak costumes in the civilian clothes section? The vorta outfit is in there; which is nice but Elim's creations were nice. As a cardassian character I'd also like what Enabran Tane wore. I'd really like the complete uniforms / outerwear and that second boff uni slot though.

    Thank you.

Actually, I think it would be ideal for each BOff to have costume slots corresponding to the main character's, and switching at the same time -- when I switch to my Off-Duty outfit or my Fleet uniform, so do my BOffs. If I have additional slots for (say) TOS-era outfits, Terran Empire undercover work, MACO attatchments, and 21st century formal, so do my BOffs.

I'd like to see a second costume slot for BOFFs as well as the mentioned away team/shipboard switch. Would save a lot of "enable/disable visuals" work :D

And there needs to be a option to customize your crewmen. I want control over how my crew looks. Junior officers, crewmen, operation officers... please let us do all the neat micromanagement... :)

Wouldn't mind seeing the male command/general uniforms added to the Bajoran militia pack. Seems odd that they're missing:

    Male Uniform 1
    Male Uniform 2
    Male Uniform 3

Saying that though, Kira's alternate and colonel uniform isn't available either:

    Kira 1
    Kira 2
    Kira 3 (Season 4)
    Kira 4
    Kira 5 (season 7)

Apart from the great idea of seeing new ideas for uniform additions...its also great to get some Kira goodness to look at. 'Specially that first pic. Wow. Thanks!

I was never too big a fan of her S7 uniform so I can personally take of leave that being added...but the S4 - S6 uniform is a definite MUST add to STO's tailoring for me.

It'd be great if there's a future time travelling episode of STO which takes the player back to the 2370's. It'd give us an excuse to doll out our characters in the FC/DS9 and Bajoran Militia uniforms. I enjoyed dressing up my characters in Starfleet uniforms for the mission back to the 23rd century so to get the opportunity to do the same for a mission in to DS9's past would be awesome!

But the only thing is that the changing the uniforms for BOFFs is costly. The sooner that the BOFF characters get more costume slots the better.

You actually don't really need time travel. The Bajoran Militia is still existent, it's just reduced to policing/planetary defense duty. But in "Second Wave", the Bajoran security officers on DS9 are clearly Bajoran Militia personell. I bet they still have a few ships around :) And the DS9 uniform set gives you an in-game explanation that it IS the latest gear used by Starfleets Gamma-quadrant-task force. So the "old" Uniforms are still around. I'd love to see that they update the different operative groups of starfleet to wear different uniforms in-game instead of the ugly default ones :)
