How about special badges that are unlocked by accolades? I'm thinking specifically of STF accolades such as the Starfleet Cross or UFP Medal of Honor, but I'm sure there are other places that would be appropriate. This could be a simple way of giving us "service ribbons".
The same could be done for the Klingons by sash variants with special insignia on them for specific achievements.
Ideally, what I'd really want would be a separate "slot" for the special badges that's separate from the normal combadges. It's certainly within canon -- flag officers such as Admiral Cartwright wore service ribbons on their uniforms.
please!! I'm not the only one that feels this way...
The word on this is that supposedly they're holding off on giving Caitians hair because they are developing new hair "tech" for everyone (similar to what you see in the Caitians' beards). That was a long time ago though..
I would also like to know what is going on with this hair tech.
I think, just in general, that various Earth-ethnic pieces would be good to put into a Costume Package for Off-Duty outfits: kilts, saris, kimonos, Nehru jackets, Native American pieces, and so forth. They'd be great not only for off-duty moments, but for use (in the Foundry as well as by staff) for missions to various times in Earth's past, worlds whose cultures parallel periods of Earth's history, etc.
Agreed, most definitely. However they should also be uniform options. Remember a TOS episode where Scotty was in dress uniform wearing a kilt? Also in the first and possibly second season of ST:TNG I seem to recall male crew members wearing a sort of dress or smock like duty uniform, sans pants. After all thru out most of human history pants were the exception. They only came in serious vogue as horse back riding became more common (and when was that last time most of us were on horseback?). Even in the early 20th century many babies up thru toddlers, both male and female, were dressed in baby dresses. Boys only got short pants once past the toddler stage and didn't get long pants until around 10 - 13. Historically skirts/kilts/kimonos/dresses were as common as male wear, if not more so, as pants were. That's one of a HUGE laundry list of things I hated about the recent BSG series. No imagination. We have an entire seperate evolution of humanity that took place on a different planet and they're wearin' suits and ties? Even today ties are the most useless, senseless piece of adornment I know of.
C'mon Devs! We need kilt/skirt/kimono options for male uniforms! heheheheh

While I agree with you main post. Pants are the exception not the rule in men's clothing historically. I have to point out that you are misunderstanding BSG. A big part of the naturalistic scifi idea is that just like you hear the people speaking in English instead of Caprican, you see them wearing and using items that look like what we wear and use and for the same reason. The shows creators were very clear on that. It was not a lack of imagination,, but a deliberate choice.
This first one could actually apply to both FED and KDF. I'd like to see some additional Borg pieces for my Liberated Borg, mainly a male version of 7 of 9's hand "webbing". Ive been having my Captain wear black gloves for the time being but it makes him look like he should be working for Section 31 or something. Even better (but would take more work) would be a range of hand implants. Maybe even bulky ones for the people who like that old school Borg look Personally I prefer a more human look with hints of Borg
Now that we have some form of Environmental Suits Id love to see The First Contact/VOY style suits Ok you might have the black out the helmets so we cant see our captains/crews faces but still would like it- http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y261/Rusty-Raven/startrech.jpg
Finally, Fed uniforms for KDF officers that have been obtained through diplomacy! Ive mentioned this last one in other threads before and I remember reading in one Engineering Report it was under Development then nothing.
Ive got a Gorn that I have had for absolutely aaaaaaaages that I use as my chief of Security/away team bodyguard, along with a recent Orion Female as a Jr. Engineer officer. But they dont feel part of the crew!
I know their SUPPOSED to be like Kurn in TNG: Sins of a Farther- http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y261/Rusty-Raven/78f0efe653ed1db1ab3b3ecf344dcccbc9e28065.jpg
But I actually want them to be part of the crew, like Worf. I even did a quick mock up of my Gorn in a Starfleet uniform- http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y261/Rusty-Raven/Toshnarr.jpg
Ok maybe he doesnt need the sash, thats more of a Klingon thing, but if I could dress him in a Fed uniform with bare Gorn Feet and Claws Id be happy as Larry!
I'd like some way of getting MACO/OMEGA/HONOR GUARD outfits without requiring the gear or accolades involved.
The sorts of people most interested in making nifty costumes for their characters and the sorts of people interested in doing STF runs several hundred times likely have a fairly small intersect.
Apologies if any of this has been previously mentioned.
I would like the ability to re-color the rank insignas on the Bajoran Militia Uniforms to match the color of the uniform (this would also be canon as the shoulder pieces for the VA rank are currently gold and should be the same color as the shoulders of the uniform). Also, the Bajoran General's uniform and Bajoran Dress Uniforms would be awesome!
It would also be cool to see uniform sets from species that were not necessarily allies of the Federation but worked with them on occasion (e.g., the Romulans and/or the Cardassians). This would fit into canon as the Cardassians helped the DS9 crew from time to time (mainly when they were fighting against the Klingons) and the Romulans also sided with the Federation against the Dominion towards the end of the war. Giving players the opportunity to use these uniforms and the appropriate pistols/rifles would allow players to play as characters that are from factions that have not yet been made playable.
1st and 2nd season TNG uniforms please! And the engineering jumpsuits too, remember the man skirts as well, I know alot of people might not like them, but I really want all TNG variants for my alt toon and some of my crew. thank you!
I'd like to see berets, fedoras, top hats, bowlers, fezzes (fezzes are cool), yarmulkes, and various other sorts of hats available.
This kind of goes back to my request for everything in Champions Online (and Neverwinter, while we're at it) that isn't specific to the superhero (or fantasy) genre to be transferred.
(Now that I think of it, I don't think many people ever even wore hats in the TV series and movies -- Bajoran clergy, holodeck characters, and past-Earth persons are about the only ones that come to mind.)
It would be nice to have a standard uniform (one for each class) so your crew all have your standard created uniforms. In addition your Bridge Officers start with this uniform when recruited.
Now that we can access our ship interiors, I want my crew in the proper uniform before I got to toss them all in the brig.
Another request of mine is to have a second uniform for Bridge Officers. Not sure if this is already available, as I am a F2P player.

I'm in full agreement with both of these; in fact, I've specifically suggested the latter.
The BOffs should have the same costume slots as the Captain, and change at the same time. That way, when we beam down to Risa in our casual clothes, our BOffs are in their casual clothes as well without the player having to manually change every one every time.
Oh, and we'd need two standard crew/DOff uniforms for each class, one for male and one for female. That's a total of six uniforms; while that's a bit of work to do, at least it only has to be done once (per character).

ROFL - yes, I can understand having them speak English instead of "Caprican". The rest sounds like nothing more than an excuse to keep production costs down.
Summer's here! How about some swimwear? Nothing fancy, just some board shorts for the males and a one-peice for the females. It kind of sucks that there are half-naked Orions running around and I'm stuck wearing more cloth than a Puritan eskimo.

I'd like them to make more skins full body. Like the infected complexion as well as the Neck scales (cardassian) that way we could actually use the open or short sleeve uniforms that we paid for with out looking too silly. They stop at the neck in a horrible way and have yet to add in the rest of the art for it.
I really support that idea export CO model into STO idea. Well it wasn't worded as such, but you know what I mean. I also love the more skins idea mentioned along with varied glasses/monocles.
Here are a few more I'd like to see as well:
unlockable Jem'Hadar Uniform for completing the set just like the STF-Borg sets
Glowing tattoos like the Club47 DJ has.
Hats
Assimilated space set unlock for ship editor, with alternate placements for appropriate items.
Allot more hairstyles
Paintable kits and armors(perhaps even the weapons and beam colors)
Once I've unlocked the MACO and Omega set costumes, is there any good reason why I can't suit up some of my bridge officers to look MACO/Omega Force squads? Come on, please?
Also I still REALLY want a ballcap like Captain Archer's, except with my own ship registry on it, instead of NX-01.
I would love to be able to move the terran empire patch over to the opposite side of the uniform and maybe combine the enterprise MU patch to the TOS uniform with the TOS MU badge.
I heard a rumor a while back that those of us with Andorian characters would be seeing animated antennae? I truly hope to see this. The antennae look a little "meh" perfectly still, and if the Caitians can get animated tails and look great, animated antennae on Andies would be pretty cool. :-)

What I'd actually proposed was importing everything from CO (and NWO) that wasn't specific to superheroes or otherwise inappropriate to Star Trek. That, by itself, could make for maybe a half-dozen good Costume Packs, which could include glasses (shades being my main interest here), hats, additional hairstyles, and many other things.
Many if not most of the clothing options would have to be limited to Off-Duty outfits, or could even be limited to use only in the Foundry, but I do think they should be available.

http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Caitian and http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Caitian both talk about the caitians having hair, but there's no option in game. They look weird being 'bald'.. I realize that their supposed to have fur, but... no, they look weird.

Just my two cents! Sorry for all the text

I would like to see rank icons for the Wrath of Khan uniform. None of my bridge officers are captains, why should they have a captain's rank insignia?
.......and glasses (human, alien)
No shirt option for males, both Fed and KDF.
More skirt options for females, add skirt options for KDF females.
More "bikini" options for Fed females, add bikini options to all KDF Females (not just Orions).
Mercenary outfit for KDF.
Undershirt option added to Female open jackets.
No undershirt option added for male open jackets.
Correct undershirts added for DS9 and First Contact open jackets.
I see NPC's doing most of the above... I wanna do it too <_<
As for clothes? A lot more off-duty outfits would be good. Such as maybe more dress selection, t-shirts, trousers..
Personally I'd find a "Tails Package" to be a reasonable item in the C-Store.
Ability to buy C-store costumes for Fleet Uniforms.
