Okay I have to ask.. what time did they take it down? I just got back from dinner and settled into the captain's chair to explore strange new worlds..

I don't mind the maintenance so much. Maybe it'll take care of the "falling out of your ship!" bug and prevent me from taking damage when falling down that deep dark chasm of space!

Brief? Two hours is not brief. Brief is "someone bumped the power cord, we'll have y'all back up in five minutes."

As far as prime test time goes, I'm not sure you could have chosen a worse time if you tried. Then again, maybe you DID try. If so, congrats :o

    One question.

Why is all the maintenance being done during prime time?

Also, the explore sectors have a really slow respawn rate after the last patch.

And one last thing I got a little hooked on this game more than I thought I would.

Maybe they realized they totally messed up the game by making too easy! I felt like a Tank and I was in an escort ship. :( I really hope they adjust the AI difficulty to something more realistic.

I can just imagine when they open up the Borg Area. Escort Tier 1 will be soloing Borg Cubes.. :(

Why are there two threads at the same exact time? One saying brief and the other saying emergency maintenance?

Incidentally, hamsters also need to be fed at least once a day...preferably in the late afternoon, so that their bodies get a better chance to store fat for next day's work on the wheel...

Is there a connection? ...your guess is as good as mine....

    Meaning...........yes

Seriously. This is the time after I get home, have dinner, do some necessary evils, then settle down for some game time. I dont care where the dev team is, this is not the time of day to take down the server for 2 hours. Try 5 AM EST. That should be plenty of time for West Coasters to play some.

In theory, theory is the same as practice, but not in practice.

A: All hours! We will be performing maintenance as needed during the wee hours of the morning, and please do remember this is still Beta. However, our goal is to have the servers up and you playing 24 hours a day.

I <3 Beta. The patch from last nights downtime was great. If it introduced a few kinks to work out tonight, still great. Beta = Win. Starbucks owes you guys some $$ for downtime breaks that make me get coffee.
