Alright I saw Al Rivera https://twitter.com/CaptainGeko who is the Star Trek Online Designer Director. He post this the first week of December, and know it's a video someone put together last year; so also wanted to share this with you all, as it's quite cute!
Maybe someday we'll also get Q in Star Trek Online. I've always wanted to do a mission where Q teases, or humor's us in the way he often did with Picard! Those are my own hopes though, nothing is indicated by anyone at STO however... ...still good to get everyone in the Spirit, and at least we all get to visit's Q's Winter Wonderland over the Holidays!
Still no idea what this refers, a few weeks to learn or hear more; I'm sure it will be very good, regardless!
So hope everyone is making the best of the Holidays, do your part to keep yourself, and those you care for safe as well.

Now we need a kirk and tekai version. Or a kirk and spock version. Or a kirk, tekai, and spock version... I think given it was started in the 60's you could just do the whole darn cast. It could end in, "he's dead jim!"

I have the feeling its a mirror bundle... a Legendary 12th Aniversarry Mirror Bundle.
I have a feeling you are probably right. Considering the fact that:
A: They put all that effort into remastering the Mirror ships
B: Some of those models have slight variations on their 'Prime' versions
and
C: The current story-arc is MU themed
It's almost a given that they'll monetize those ships.
Yeah, sorry, but it's a little too soon to try and get the hype train to leave the station.
Just over a month away isn't too soon, at least in my opinion. I just hope it's good. What normally excites Geko, is a boring and repetitive grind. :P
I'd certainly like a more affordable 12th Anniversary Bundle, which if it's mirror based it might just be. While I perhaps hope they offer a Starter Bundle for the 10th, 11th, and 12th, that includes perhaps 2 ships for a higher entry point slightly; to encourage more to later upgrade to the full Pack.
Still don't know if that's what they'd consider, be a great way (opportunity) to see a few more experience the Legendary Ships of some series.
If it's indeed a mirror bundle, and they price it lower than normal bundles, it will be a hit, and i will buy it, i like those varians.. kinda like a 75% or 60% limited offer discount, and it would be a best seller...

Well they usually only offer 50% off the new Legendary, still it's likely true a 12th Legendary Mirror Bundle it likely be more affordable perhaps like the Dreadnaught.
I can't say if they would ever do Legendary Starter Bundles...

QFT - Geko's also a very passive/aggressive STO Dev; and sometimes I wonder if he knows other MMOs exist because some of his decisions come across as - "The players will just suck it up and play it...what other choice do they have?"

I think it's more of, if they offer a decent enough reward, they think we will play whatever it no matter how bad the content and grind is.
I was expecting the Eisenberg-Class ship was going to be the 2022 Anniversary Ship, but then again, the Breen and Fel'kri ships topped out already, while possible Alliance Ship (combination of different faction ships) designs still have a lot of possibilities. So while the Winter Event ship offerings seems to be on hiatus, that was the best event to put it into our hands.
I admit being surprised seeing the Eisenberg Ship for Winter, as they have on 1-2 occasions released a Fed Ship before, yet both were Anniversary. It was however the Odyssey suggested by a Fan Art Contest, and later the first Solanae Ship in the T5 only version. Later they introduced both as T5U upgradeable from the CSTORE.
I be alright with a few more Ferengi Ships for Summer, as they had done once before. Though that was a few years ago, and now seem to be back to Risian Ships to include more T6. I like the Alliance theme though for Anniversary, and excited by the idea of a Fed/Rom Ship possibly coming. It also still they likely have a lot of possibilities to explore, and test their creative sides far more there.
Still I have far more trust in Geko, so I'm sure whatever is planned will be nice. And having to go to 3 different places to find Omega Molecules isn't a long grind, neither is winter it takes but a few minutes each day. Also each event also gives several options to pursue, depending on Event so 'mix-it-up' or consider the buyout option, once you've earned a discount your happy with.
I'd be excited for any 'Captain', but after so long of not having a 'Captain' (whether it was because of cost/being busy/not interested in VO for STO) it's hard to keep my hopes up for that.
John de Lancie expressed interest before (get in touch with his agent, please!), and not being a 'Captain' has it's advantages.
Hopefully he'll get to update the quips Q makes to the player on their way to find those Omega Particles
Come on, Keep-calm! If Al means Sir Patrick is coming, that would be exciting, right!
Then again, I don’t think I would “lose it” over Stewart. In fact, there are so few Star Trek actors that I am interested in joining the game. I mean…Avery Brooks would be really cool. I would enjoy Colm Meany or Teri Farwell. I guess if Bret Spiner came I might “lose it.” But for me, the game climaxed when Michael Dorn came.
There was a Reddit joke that “oh boy, oh boy , oh boy” was a Quantum Leap clue. I didn’t tell it right…
prob just me, but tweets like this do nadda for any kind of excitement from me.
but thanks for posting it...
Same here. To be honest, am stick of everything being some big uber-secret. I mean, I know they want to generate hype but there should be a middle-ground. And there never is.
That is the core of the "Magic Box" technique that JJ Abrams and Kurtzman are so fond of, the tendency for anticipation to build up from that secrecy the longer you can string the viewers/players/whatever along. It does get old fast though if it is overused, and it can backfire if it goes on too long because then the anticipation builds to levels that cannot be satisfied by the inevitable reveal.

Yea that's what many suspect, something related to Enterprise which would be very interesting for sure. Many would welcome some of their Crew, either thru Holodeck recreation or yes even Temporal Investigation of some sort.
I've always wanted someone from the Continuum to make a guest appearance in STO. While I'd love to see Q myself (John De Lancie) in an episode or two, perhaps even just a Voice Actor who could portray his son who played Q Junior! I'd also welcome someone from Picard given it's closer to 2411-2412, especially given the timing as Picard is currently in production.
Even if they didn't get John De Lancie though I'd really love to see him in STO; I'd welcome any member of the Continuum, even his GF in the Continuum for several billion years!
So hopefully Picard is able to continue production soon, they and everyone remains Healthy! As I'd assume everyone is fully vaccinated. It be foolish not to be right now.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
It is NOT going to be a player ship interior. No plans whatsoever in that direction.

I never suggested it was for Ship Interiors, still I think you were clarifying it.
He's said that there are no current plans for Ship Interiors on Multiple occasions, since he started the 2410 Federation Kit. It was designed for missions/tfo's aboard Ships, smaller Starbase, or other Federation Facilities. I've stated that many times in the past, just hadn't this time.
Might it eventually evolve into a revised Fed Interior, is something else entirely... ...still I'm just glad were seeing a few more missions aboard Starships, or smaller Starbases once again!

This news might warrant it’s own thread—the speculation is that the image is showing the power levels on a new ship with a singularity core (low shield numbers). Reddit thinks it may be teasing the new anniversary ship.
Anyway, Here it is for your speculations and snarky comments:

It seems like a new type of perhaps Singularity Core, at least that's what most think. Perhaps looses 'some' of the singularity powers, yet gain's more stable or consistent power levels?
Regardless many hoping for Fed/Romulan design, and with a improved or revised singularity it be very interesting. Be good for Fed's to learn more about Singularity's, even if Warp Drive remains a slightly safer choice. Thought it's possible to also maybe be Dom/Rom as well, the Alliance joint Ship design program is a very exciting idea they've introduced for Anniversary!
So looking forward to whatever it is... ...Kael suggested we might see or hear blogs starting this week, on stuff that will be coming! So looking forward to it.
What is that red gizmo called in the new series with holo-janeway.
Maybe something similar.
Other option is that this is for an event ship (carrier since kael mentioned that a carrier was incoming when responding why the nog wasn't a carrier with its size). Last event ship was klingon/fed so perhaps some strange klingon/dominion/romulan mix this time?
