Propably stuff in a Discovery Lockbox around the time of the Anniversary. I would not hold my breath for any Discovery stuff being the Anniversary ship. Too much monitization would be lost.

Absolutely guaranteed to be lockbox & lobi ships when they appear.
So around the anniversary or the following one i'd guess. In fact the anniversary will be around the time TRIBBLE comes back on TV's so it would fit well into the STO release schedule.
If I had it my way, never. Discovery is an abomination.
That's one of the main reasons I want one! So the people who hate it will get mad when we queue together >=D
IKR? This was one of the best things about flying the Kelvin Constitution when it dropped, all the epic eTears of "true fans" who wanted to bleach their eyes. The whining will be SO much better this time around!

I love discovery but despise jjtrek. I would actually spend some of my hoarded riches for the whirly disco. Black alert!

The next Expansion, I thought was 'Victory is Life', suggesting a Gamma Quadrant focus. There was much prattling on in the Forums early this year after they announced their upcoming plans into 2018.

I'm going to enjoy parking my Discovery right in front of ESD just to annoy people. lol!
It's gonna be awesome. Can't wait to get my hands on a Crossfield-class. Hell, I'm tempted to roll a toon specifically to captain one. I don't have an Eng from the TOS subfaction yet...
The amount of hate Discovery gets baffles me, though. I mean, it's not great by any stretch of the imagination, and it's certainly a departure in some ways from the franchise before it. But it's not really bad either, and it's improved incrementally as its progressed. There's still plenty of moments of dumb writing, and I do have a mountain of gripes about the set design and art direction, but describing Discovery as an "abomination" is absolutely untrue.
To put it another way, it's better than 2/3rds of the JJTrek movies at the absolute least.

Guess it must be hard to understand why someone would hate a show that intentionally urinates all over canon, throwing it out the window just to be another boring and generic science fiction show that doesn't stand out in any way?
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

What's hard to understand is the sheer closed-mindedness and inflexibility of many Star Trek fans.
I get many of the complaints, I really do. The Klingons are outright bad, the entire aesthetic of Starfleet doesn't feel in the slightest like it's supposed to predate TOS by only a decade, and it's like they went out of their way to make most of the characters as unlikable as they possibly could. Hell, Burnham is my least favorite of the entire cast, and she's the damn protagonist.
But the show is much more than that. Almost every character has, to some degree, a spark of optimism that feels very true to Trek. It just takes time for it to show. Burnham, for all her faults and bad writing, it honestly just trying to be a good person. Stametz, for as much of a douche as he is, isn't as cold-hearted as he comes off. They legitimately do a good job expanding on Sarek's character, in spite of the fact the whole "Burnham is his adopted daughter" plot point being the apex example of a canon violation in this show. By the mid-season finale, I was actually concerned for Stametz. As obvious as the "twist" with Tyler was, I'm invested in seeing what they do with him. And by God, I'm morbidly fascinated to see what that unstable sociopath Lorca is going to do next. I'm even indifferent towards Saru, the single most obnoxious character in Discovery, a character that gives the likes of Neelix a run for his money for "most annoying" among most fans' posts I've seen.
Yeah, I would have liked the show a lot better if they'd embraced the camp of TOS, grounding it a bit as needed for the times (those skirts would not fly today) but making it look like the Trek it's supposed to be closest to. But what we were given instead, despite its numerous flaws, isn't such an egregious sin against Trek as some seem to think.
Will pass on the Crossfield-class (U.S.S Discovery) but I would love to get a hold of a Walker-class (USS Shenzhou)

Mr. Spock: And the ways our differences combine, to create meaning and beauty.
I loved Disc, but hated the ship itself. I can't understand the sheer bloody-mindedness over the look over the show. I would have hated the show if they gave it the TOS push button consoles. CBS did right by moving with the times. Did they TRIBBLE over canon? No, not by a long shot. The very fact Discovery is in 'unknown' territory mean they can do as they please now. The spore-drive is obviously a failed experiment and the information will be sealed by Starfleet and never used again. Plus, in-game, there is very little need for it as we have Instant Transwarp capability already where we can go from Sol to the Delta Quad as fast as Discovery. And the ships, Lockbox only. Can't be any other way or that will 'TRIBBLE on canon'!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Likewise. Unfortunately that means we're probably guarenteed to get one in the near future.
