Still, don't have any dedicated carriers, and an extra ship is always good, so I'll be grabbing it anyway. Of course this means another few weeks of GRIIIIND after the MI has already given me burnout >.<
but unlike mirror, you only have to do this on ONE character, as the ship is an account-wide unlock - and the task to earn the ship tokens only takes about 5 minutes, though it may be a bit tricky at first if you've never used a floater before

Carriers usually are science ships.
Its probably going to be Engie heavy. We do have an Engie heavy Carrier in game already in the form of the Mirror Vo'Quv. And someone in another thread did point out a pattern. We have 3 events that give a ship, and we NEVER get the same kind of ship twice in a row.
Last Anniversary Event we got the Lukari Science ship.
This Summer Event we're getting a Carrier, most likely Engie heavy.
This Winter Event we may very well get a T6 Breen Raider.
new kit module should be amusing; an all-access alternative to the tripwire mine;
training manuals for the Risian kit modules (including this new one, I would trust) are long overdue, and are appreciated. I also imagine this will become the case for the WW modules as well

Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
That rash guards swimwear doesn't even look like swimwear. Looks like shorts and a shirt. I hope it's useable outside of swimwear categories. I really wish there were t6 Risian themed ships. It's a summer event after all not a Vorgon event. The pets are kinda cool though.
The first time we see Risa on TNG was the episode with the Vorgon 'time police' couple. Considering upcoming 30th Anniversary of TNG, I say, why not?
Yes I'd like to see T6 versions of Risa ships, but I wouldn't mind the upcoming Vorgon carrier.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

In case you're referring to me: my reasoning starts the pattern with Winter Wonderland - since that was the first event after T6, and the pattern would be
So next winter could be anything by that reasoning. Odds are, in my opinion, the T6 Plesh Brek is coming up, completing the T6ing of the breen ships. Which would in turn mean eng and sci for the next anniversary and summer, so peeps looking for a sci ship for their admiralty roster may have over a year to wait - especially since we didn't have a Vorgon sci vessel yet, it'd be indeed my guess that eng will be at the anniversary and no new sci event ship until Risa '18.
Well I am looking forward to my account's characters' first Summer event on Risa. I like that they have a balance between the Winter & the Summer events! What I am not amused about is why Cryptic has this attitude that a newer player cannot earn previous ships because in typical Cryptic fashion they are going to have some synergy perk between the (2) Vorgon ships. This new Ryn'Kodan does look awesome. Also, I am hoping they make this event account wide unlock. This Mirror Invasion event being per character is a bit exhausting with my (8) characters & I know many players probably have much more than that LOL. I am hoping this will be more fun than the Mirror Invasion event which has it's ups & downs with the AFKers.
Yes, unless they make a major shift from the last few years, the ship will be account-wide unlock. It's a shame you didn't get the older ships, but watch out for the Phoenix pack in the future.
I think it's worse that Cryptic doesn't offer any method of earning past ships besides that dilithium Phoenix Prize Pack. Also, pretty certain the Xyfius wasn't included in the Phoenix Prize Pack ... at least not yet. I participated in the last Phoenix Prize Pack event, it was my 1st, & enjoyed it but it also was VERY costly to me in dilithium & zilch luck on the gambling for the a top ship. I was hoping for that Kobali Samsar out of what was offered.
That taught me that since there are no official odds not to participate in the Key &/or R&D Pack gambling neither especially since that involves real-money. Since there are past ships I could see a path laid out that would require effort to earn for newer players, I'm willing to put in the grind, but I think the no guarantee makes the current method seem like a sham.
I do think it would be cool to offer the Xyfius as a possible pet for this Ryn'Kodan, an extra boon for the players that own it I guess because you know Cryptic will tie-in the consoles OR they will tie-in this Carrier console with some new Zen Store ship that will release near the same time LOL. During the last ship sale that is why I passed on a couple of ship packages. It just seems Cryptic takes a more excluding newer players stance than including & how would that be negative? Usually I don't go for the "fluff" stuff that doesn't help progress my character, but those Caracals do look adorable dang it.
I don't even care about the new boards, I have Future Flyers for all my toons, and I have good floaters too.
You know, come to think of it...I think I got all the girls the tiger striped floaters last year.
Not sure the Biathlon gold/silver/bronze can get me out of tiger stripes.

There's a ton of colors available for the Rash Guards, and you can definitely mix and match with bottoms.
