@tacofangs - Please fix the invisi-wall where you breach the ship's door. Since I'm stuck right now and about to get an AFK penalty thanks to this wall, I took the time to write this post up as I have nothing better to do while I wait for my penalty.
Well, congratulations to the team... You managed to make me want to do the daily on all my main characters as opposed to painfully finishing it on one only. Good job!
The Good: Shortened completion times means running it on several alts is no longer as excruciating.
The Bad: It's still a Beam FAW or GTFO mission. Cannons simply can't take out the hard points while doing the trench run given just how fast you're going, while BFAW melts everything.
To paraphrase the "Balance" dev blog, using Cannons during The Breach is the "wrong" kind of fun you're allowed to have.
This is a huge improvement and fun mission. I'd like to see the escape tunnel highlighted or some kind of arrows added, but this is a fun mission now. I did not like the original mission, but I like this one.

+ Bad: It's (the map) not good for torpedoes either. At least the original map had some opportunities for using torpedoes (I'm not advocating restoring those maps). The second room offered some ship to ship action but it was over quickly, and the Core melted before anyone knew how to leave.
Bad: I understood "better path communication" to be alerting players where to fly to meet objectives. If this was the case, I noticed no changes.
Good: The shortened time, but then I'm not a fan of this mission. Thank you Devs for taking the time to review and revamp this mission.
As someone who enjoyed the old version of this mission, in part due to it's length, I am disappointed. If I had to pick one thing I miss most about the old version, it's probably the dreadnought miniboss.
Also, the speed boost in the trench is kind of a pain, it's too particular as to where you can and cannot have it. The corner at the end as well, it's too sharp /especially/ at that speed so you lose the speed as you overshoot the speed zone and then it feels like it takes forever to get back, I can only imagine how it feels for people who haven't optimised speed in their builds.
Obvious baiting post nothing to see here move along.
Seriously? You're accusing the CM of baiting by asking for feedback?
Anyway...
The shortened version is much better for running an Event on, especially for those running it on Alts. Still, I'd like to see the older version(s) return for the regular queue missions. Possibly use this version for Normal, the previous version for Advanced, and the original for Elite.

I think it's no longer possible to achieve a full 100% on the "assault exterior" objective due to the shortened path. We tried it 5 times so far and we never got above 69%.
Well it's shorter, but now there's practically nothing to do in it. It's more a sightseeing tour than a combat mission, takes more time to get to the few things you need to kill than it takes to actually kill them. Only the sub core room has any enemies in it.
Should've removed the sub core room (the fake core whack-a-mole is annoying) and left the hangars where the real fights were.
Also, if the goal was to make it faster, first thing you should've done is remove the 1 minute "briefing" wait in the beginning.

You don't shoot things during the trench run. You cloak, hit any speed boosts you have and race to the end ASAP. Destroying hardpoints just slows down the mission.
After the run of this Breach Event, the regular Breach queue will return with its normal rewards.
From what I got from the blog is there will be 2 versions of the Breach:
-the current event-only one: fast, straight to the point, good for grinding on various characters without becoming tedious
-the soon-to-be-permanent-again normal one: longer, with the hangar and dreadnought sections, for those who want some challenge
Just ran it on a couple of my characters, I like it.
The old map felt bloated and unnecessarily drawn out in an attempt to artificially inflate the completion time. I like the new version much better, especially considering I have to do it on any character that I want rewards for.
I wish after all these years that people would learn not to shoot the fake cores, but that's not on the dev team. Overall, well done.
I came in at around 10 minutes per character. Hmmm, I'm leaning towards full participation. It's much improved from an event perspective.

Well I did a run of it and thank you but this isn't the Event for me. Still found it boring. So gl to those who are going to run it and those that enjoyed it, but i'm going to be sitting this one out.
Hello rubber banding my old friend, time to bounce around the battlezone again, where are all my bug reports going?, out of love with this game I am falling, As Cryptic fail to acknowledge a problem exists, Shakes an angry fist, And from Support all I'm hearing are the sounds of silence.
The Breach is back - so what do you think? Are you having fun? Is it working correctly? Let us know here!
The new setup is straight forward, but not necessarily more fun.
The only challenge in the old queue was the citadel dreadnought due to its size and shields, but that NPC was removed.
Now it is wait 30 seconds (why keep that build-in delay), cloak or rush the trench with full BFAW, turn right at the end and follow the yellow brick road.
Once upon a time even the lowly Bastion and Bulwark were tough opponent due to their shields and aceton, but that day is long past.
Why not throw in a dreadnought for the 30 second wait at the start prior to the trench.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Thumbs up. The event is much better paced, the more unique set-piece encounters were retained, and the tedious/slog rooms were removed (and that's speaking as THAT ONE PERSON who would more often than not have to carry the ENTIRE TEAM through the shooting gallery, ship rescues, and citadel boss encounter.) It fits a LOT better with a long-grind PVE event.

It's too short and I somehow took the wrong turn on leaving and ended up back in the core room. I've never gotten lost before.
I also miss taking down the Citadel ship. Hopefully when the event is over and the queue returns for real it will get back some of what was taken away; it was a terrible queue to grind but perfectly fine as it was for normal play.
After the run of this Breach Event, the regular Breach queue will return with its normal rewards.
Putting this again from the blog, so people can read it again and understand this Breach is a modified version exclusively for this event, so it's not tedious to complete 14 times on each character, for once.
Once the event is over, this modified version will be replaced by the normal version with the hangars to close and the dreadnought to blow up.
If you complain this is too short, all you gonna cause is for the devs to keep all the long versions of queues for events and then you're gonna complain about that. So, instead of possibly encouraging them to make an alternate and better version of Mirror Incursion, you're gonna make them not even bother trying.
It's definitely not too short. Then again, I never thought the old version was too long either. My issues never were about it's length, but the activity (or lack of) we're given to do.
In this way, the current version that's more flying around less fighting is not as much fun.

Only in the trench run if you want to go for the optional.
Anyways... I like this new one. Not painful to run on alts, and is actually a blast with the right music.
I'd recommend either the Star Wars music from the Death Star Trench or the run inside the DS2, or...
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I do agree that a highlight is needed to the escape part, as many people are still trying to go the old way and are hitting a wall..

Yes, there used to be arrows in the previous version now theres only a red forcefield on the wrong door. And no arrows at the intersection either.
Although now I think about it, if the doors don't lock it may actually be shorter way to go out back through the sub core room. Has anyone tried that?
Still, since the end is timed, I guess it doesn't really matter if you get out faster or not.
There are green flashing lines to the right door, but they aren't that easy to see.
Only in the trench run if you want to go for the optional.
