naj'sov: [Issue Resolved-and in under a year!!]

Naj’sov Research Vessel [T6]

The latest science vessel from the Klingon Empire is the powerful Naj’sov-class Research Vessel. Designed for durability, it utilizes a suite of new tachyon-based tech, including the Tachyon Particle Field Emitter. This console drains the shields of enemy vessels and bolsters the shields of allied ships.

This starship features a Lieutenant Commander Engineering/Temporal Operative bridge officer station.

    Uh? Wha?

    Klingons have in-built cloaking devices. It will be a selectable icon to put on your ship powers tray.

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention and speaking up. While others seem content to sit on their behinds and claim "subject to change, tough luck" I'll call it what it is: an advertisement blog created with specific words for each of the three ships: Fed, no mention of any cloak, KDF "Cloaking Device", Rom: "Romulan Battle Cloaking Device." It's no copy-paste error inclusion since it's specific and different for each stat.

    The blog is the advertisement, and the in-game stats need to reflect the blog so that a) either the blog is changed to stop misleading people [some ships have no description of stats, therefore C-Store is not a sole marketing authority. Point in Case: Tempest Escort T6 - has zero information about many stats. How do people buy this ship? Blind? By waiting on others to buy it blind and to test in space for its actual stats? No. They go to the blog, which has all ship stats.] or b) come in and immediately update the blog itself to remove the mention of "Cloaking Device" to put a halt to any more misleading sales.

    That's my evidence that this is a bug, and not a deliberate "let's nerf KDF and give them less and be misleading about it."

    I have no idea how that came out Tempest. I meant to write "Temporal Escort T6 - Theseus Class." The Nautilus has the same lack of specifics.

    Going to "Starship and Shuttle Requisitions" officer also shows the same lack of information. The megabundle package? Nope, just a listing of all the ships.

    How a player's supposed to know what they're buying without visiting the one official source, arcgames blogs, is beyond me.

    It really sounds like a bug. The KDF DSDs all have a standard cloak. Also, if I recall correctly, didn't the Chronos and Eternal both mistakenly get a battle cloak for a few days before they were patched to not have a cloak? So yeah, I'm calling bug on this one.

    I haven't spent a lot of time tinkering yet, but the Naj'sov definitely seems like a solid science ship so far.

    Check the actual description at the shipyard/Zeni store. There's NO mention of a cloak at the point of sale. That ain't a bug. It's a late design decision.

    The Fed DSD gets DHC too... it's a special gimmick related to how it can turn into a near-escort.

    Nebula was always the slowest and toughest of the Fed science ships. What were you expecting from a copy of it?

    Totally on board with updating the blog. That'd only be what, about the 6th thing they've changed this week? ;)

    What? Who's aggravating who? It's raising awareness both to devs, potential customers, and those who've bought it already about something we're confused about, be it a WAI needing a blog fix, or simple bug by omission needing a simple code copy-paste in the game code along with typing in 'Cloaking Device' in the C-Store stats page for it.

    As someone already pointed out, let's hope for a resolution soon rather than in months and years.

    I agree. I was just slightly amused at the whole thing and emotions surrounding it.

    Mind you, if they messed up the warbird the same way I'd be emotional too... That was the ship that sold me on the entire pack (something not normally happening) and I'd be complaining on the forums too if it wasn't quite what I expected.

    Guys, if the Naj'sov doesn't have the cloaking device working, then this is clearly a bug.
    Report it.

    They'll get it installed by Tuesday.

    Yeah, yelling at each other isn't going to fix anything. I'm just going to sit back and use it anyways, if it gets a cloak later, good, if not, I'll keep using it without one.

    Batteries are not included either... maybe the 2 are related? :P

    Seriously, though, what does the Klink want with a cloaking device?! They can cloak natively, right!? (Unless y'all were promised a battle cloak, but I'm not seeing that).

    No, it's yet another "devs hate KDF" conspiracy theory thread.

    Case in point, there is a bug report forum and this is not it.

    No. All cloak powers are part of the ship, or a special ability.

    We only stole the Fed phase cloak. What's a Rommie to do with inferior KDF tech when we can even cloak with shields up or fire everything while cloaked.

    But.. you never know...

    I did make a bug report thread about the Type 4 skin issue but I was too tired before I had to call it a night and take the Naj'sov out for a spin to see the cloak issue.
