I honestly don't know if I'd use it or not even if I did have it, I'd almost fell obligated to roll a Ferengi captain for it but idk if I have the enthusiasm to play through all the missions yet again, plus idk what I'd use for a uniform

I've added up my purchases, since July last year it's now £1100 which is about $1500, I got the ship, one for each email address they have on file for me. So I really don't know what's going on here, I can understand why many of you guys are pissed off, especially those that have spent way more than me. However I doubt Cryptic will explain it, all you can do is hope it's some sort of random roll of the dice and you'll get the next giveaway. Reading all these comments I feel guilty winning it now :(

No don't feel guilty, you didn't do anything wrong here. You're not rubbing it in peoples faces or being mean about it. You just got lucky.
I have no ill will towards the winners, and I do hope you (and the others) enjoy it and get good use out of it.

Just know a lot of us "Loyal" players would have loved to be in your shoes today.

If anyone should feel guilty its Cryptic, not a fellow player who didn't do anything wrong. Enjoy it.

Well, look at you being all rational and ****.

Happens from time to time.. :joy:

"unwavering support of Star Trek Online," I ask myself if they are even deserving of such a thing by anyone and imo the answer is no.

"I checked my spam box too, but it only contained email offers to buy Viagra pills for a cheap price."

Wow who needs the ship when you have this to look forward to!!! ;p

"I checked my spam box too, but it only contained email offers to buy Viagra pills for a cheap price."

People who don't get it tend to feel insulted and alientated especially if they've spent alot of money on the game. This appears to have once again back fired on Cryptic because of poor communication.

    Its a years old vessel.
The thing that makes this special is thai its a golden pimp ride.

They sure as hell were not getting sells on that d'kora anymore so why now be stingy.

Hand it out as a big, fat thank you to the whole community. The community that TRIBBLE and moans but still does not abandon this ship. The community who made this game a viable financial thing. How fitting would it have been to hand out a ship that has cost just about zero in new development cost, a ferengi vessel in gold palted bling, to everyone as a token of apreciation?

Was this really to far out?

    Ocean marketing, all over again.

There seems to be some bad communication going on if not even our CM knows the exact details.

I find it humorous that the cryptic mouth piece doesn't even know wtf is going on. I am Nomad. I am perfect. I will choose who is worthy of a free ship!

So some idiot decided that keeping the COMMUNITY MANAGER out of the loop regarding this was a good idea?

    I despair.

Erm. A CM is there to placate the online media channels (twitter facebook, forums) and attempt to mitigate shitstorms in build up.
His or her role is not to actually communicate to the Playerbase or make a case for them back at company home.

It is a mitigation, thats why they are never informed about anything, so that "i am looking in to this, keep calm" can be used over an over again.

The people behind the post are usually nice people not deserving of the heat they often get but the position of CM is a deeply cynical one.

Never forget that, in the end, a company does not make an expense for no reason. Having an employee play nice with the customers is not something they pay people to do for fun. Its for the purpose of more spin control.

    ^^

Well Well just been confirmed by some1 on Facebook in the STO online group that 2nd code does not work. So that is even more of a kick in the teeth for those that didnot recieve a code at all that a bunch of codes have been wasted being. By being sent out to the 1 account twice. this is really terrible Customer service as well as extremely bad PR on cryptics behalf.

Battle 4000 does work. You can't put Battle 3000 and 4000 together. The consoles are similar to the ones found on the Chimera and Manticore vet ships. Though they are the same console, the newer is slightly different and cannot be stacked with the older console.

spent A LOT MORE than 1000€ on the game
I've also spent many thousands of UK pounds over the last 6 years, but I doubt it's to do with money so much.
Spent at least 2500$ + since 2012. (Actually scared to check my paypal history, because its probably way higher then my estimate)

I have spent way to much (over 8000$) but as I am a dedicated Star trek fan and love the game so..
LTS + spent about 4K since beta
I've spent over $5,000 on this game at a minimum and definitely over $1,000 this year alone and no email.
between 2 accounts one LTS and nearly every federation ship purchased, we both have well over 1000 invested/

I was actually thinking about this. I own the D'Kora, Nandi, Ferengi Lobi 3pc, and all the Ferengi clothes. Plus, I have 3 Ferengi alts. That might have been one of the criteria. Would make some sense, but I really don't know.

No word yet on the criteria for getting one but it did make me go through my transaction history to check to see that I have spent a little over $2000 in zen purchases since 2013 and have almost 400 days subbed but haven't bought a LTS yet.

pretty sure it's a LTS only thing

I've been a lifer for several years and was subscriber since Day 1 (there might have been a few months when I wasn't but very few) and have spent way too much on the C-Store (bought eveyrthing KDF and Romulan and close to 80% Fed) and I have not received one. It is not an LTS thing.

Not too shocking when you look at the glassdoor reviews.... a common thread of which and the big bad mark from employee reviews being lack of inter-departmental communication.

I have all Event Ships + CE/Mirror... Rewards, no Mail
(+ Lifetime, CE, zen, but nowhere near 1k$ in the last 12 months, all Packs except AoY, most Ships for KDF/Rom, a lot of playtime -> nothing of that seems to be a factor, it seems the "1k$+ within the last 12 months" is the most likely loyality-rating-factor )
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
    unfortunately:

    NOT LOYAL ENOUGH!!!

Disappointing. The one ship I wanted (t6 dkora), and It is out of reach. Or least I can only assume it is out of reach. The cone of silence Cryptic has covered itself with only makes things worse. I was feeling rather good about Star Trek Online (AoY, Summer Event), but the high points Cryptic produces seem to get shorter and shorter.

I am here almost here all the time, so I doubt it was just people who do not play the game that are also receiving this email. Most likely, people who have contributed to the game through Zen purchases and meet the unknown criteria are receiving this email. People should check their emails and their spam folders, just in case.

so 2 of the guys in my Armada have both spent over $1,000.00 and are both LTS, and neither have received the email with the code. Until the Dev's decide to step down out of The Continuum and explain this, I shall be curious and slightly peeved.

Same here, LTS and I've spent much more than just 1000 dollars. Although I did spent the money in euros. Guess that might have some impact on whether or not you're eligible too.

Loads of ridiculous posts and entitlement in this thread... *Sighs* Business as usual on STO forums.
Time to grab some popcorn and enjoy the pointless rage

However, what I don't get, is why some people here whine "Cryptic this" or "Cryptic that".

WHAT CRYPTIC HAS TO DO WITH GIVEAWAYS HANDLED SOLELY BY PERFECT WORLD ENTERTAIMENT, for Christ sake ?

I doubt that even Al Rivera in Cryptic knows the details of this giveaways.
