Admiral Valdez was in his ready room, "Marie, escort Captain Iodikar in please" he ordered. Marie and Trianna both walked in with Jodi and the twins took a seat. "Captain, take a seat" said Valdez and Jodi sat down. "Admiral, I know you used mind probes on my sister" said Jodi brazenly. "I'll ignore that last comment, Captain I've read your file. Hot headed and anger management issues, I need my captains cool, calm and collected" replied Valdez.
Valdez could see the anger on Jodi's face, "Captain, cool that Terran side of yours" ordered Valdez. Jodi was about to reach for her pistol but Valdez calmed her down, "You are of two worlds, use that as a strength. It's not a weakness by any means. My two girls are half Betazoid/half Terran, I understand what you have to deal with daily." Jodi took her hand away from her pistol and confronted Valdez about her sister.
"My sister is going through her own personal hell because of you and Sito!!" Jodi yelled to Valdez's face, Valdez remaining cool and calm as ever pointed out, "Naynta Lot created that hell herself, she was impetuous and tried to cover up her mistake. You should not be angry at me and Sito but at your sister, even admirals are not above the law." Jodi calmed down when she realized that both twins had their pistols pointed at her.
"Then admiral, how would you deal with your children, they've got a body count of millions" asked Jodi. "They are not perfect by any means, if they ever step out of line they know to accept the blame themselves and deal with the punishment with no complaints" answered Valdez. "You intentionally pushed that button with my heritage, why?" asked Jodi. "You think everyone has it in for you, you've shot people for calling your heritage. I saw what I needed to see and your temper is a problem, a problem you must solve" answered Valdez, "if you have a problem with me, speak to me to my face and not behind my back. If you had tried to shoot me, my two girls would have shot you. That's your first warning, second warning you lose your command, understood?" "Crystal" replied Jodi.
"Admiral, I know why you are pushing us all beyond our limits." Admiral Valdez listened to what Jodi said, "Captain, my predecessor was too soft on you all, from now on we must be an Imperial legion. We work as one and we fight as one. We are legion for we are many, one weak link and we all fail" was his counter to Jodi's argument. "Since you now work for Sito, I'll fight alongside you" replied Jodi.
"Captain, I'm ordering you to undergo anger management. Being hot headed in battle can be considered costly" ordered Valdez, "and Captain, failure to deal with your anger issues will cost you your command, dismissed." Jodi saluted and went back to the Cutlass. "Thanks for the assist there girls" said Valdez, "Not a problem dad" said both in unison.

Praetorian Guard ... I don't know why but I immediately thought of the Xenomorph Praetorian.
The Praetorian Guard guarded the emperors of Rome until Constantine the Great disbanded them. Provoking Jodi was intentional, she needs to face her own issues and deal with them.

Admiral Valdez and the twins had come aboard to speak to Captain Iodikar, "Commander" said Valdez as he shook James Iodikar's hand. "Admiral, if you are looking for Jodi, she's down in the gym. I'll take you to her" answered Cmdr Iodikar. "Thank you Commander, take me to the captain please" replied Cmdr Iodikar. In the gym, Jodi was venting her anger on a punching bag. "Captain, you got a minute?" asked Valdez and Jodi took a break.
"Admiral, what brings you here?" asked Jodi. "I may have been out of line with you earlier but you needed to hear it, your temper holds you back" answered Valdez. "You teach your children the same lesson?" asked Jodi. "That's why we were there earlier" answered Marie Valdez as both twins saluted Jodi. "Well mannered girls" she thought before saying to Valdez, "I've never had that before, being made to face one's own truths" replied Jodi. "It takes a stronger person to beat their problems, you need to find that strength in you." said Valdez.
"Admiral, for years I was always in my sister's shadow. When she tried to play her games with your counterpart, she got a beating and bloody nose from it and yet she never learns. I've told her too many times to end it quickly and she ignored me" replied Jodi looking frustrated. "Maybe it's time you stepped out of her shadow, you are damn good at what you do. You just need resolve the conflict within you, it's holding you back. You need to push forward" replied Valdez. "Jodi, I face these problems everyday. The jabs about my heritage and the constant insults from the Terran crew members. Granted they usually end up in mother's tender care afterwards" said Trianna laughing.
"There is no arm bone that Trianna has not broken yet, it usually involves the M word" said Valdez. Trianna telepathically told Jodi the word. "And I thought half breed was bad, why don't you shoot them?" asked Jodi, Trianna smiled and said, "How can they learn their lesson?" "Funny" answered Jodi. "I'm leaving a position open to you, I know what you can do with a squadron, what can you do with a wing?" asked Valdez. "Thank you admiral for that dose of reality" answered Jodi, "I'll walk you three back to the transporter room"
I.S.S. Agincourt
Admiral Valdez had just got back from the Cutlass, "Dad, I need a favor" asked Trianna. "What do you need help with?" replied Valdez, "The recruits have survived drill and now they are live firing, most of them cannot hit a barn door at 20 paces" answered Trianna. "You want me to teach them how to shoot?" asked Valdez, "pretty much dad, it helps you to get to know your troops and it helps them at the same time" replied Trianna. "Do they know I'm ex MACO?" asked Valdez. Trianna smiled and said "they have idea whats about to hit them." "For family it's free" answered Valdez.
Valdez went with the twins to the firing ranges, when he got there it was chaotic bouts of phaser fire. "Cease fire" ordered Valdez and the recruits all stood to perfect drill and saluted. "At ease" ordered Valdez and the recruits stood at ease. "Recruits, it's come to my attention that you all need to improve your shooting" said Valdez. The recruits were quiet until Valdez told them to speak up. "Sir, these weapons are different to the ones we trained with" said Recruit Uldrich. "Pass me the rifle Uldrich" ordered Valdez and Uldrich handed over his rifle.
"This is the Type 3 compression rifle, an elegant weapon and your new best friend. Three settings here, stun, kill and vaporize, try not to get them confused" said Valdez as the recruits chuckled. "Calm down, all of you to your firing positions, this rifle comes in with standard functions, we have the standard phaser beam, Lt Valdez here will demonstrate." Trianna carefully aimed and pulled the trigger and a phaser beam burned a hole in the target at 500m. "The compression burst, in close in environments they are very good, Lt, can you put a whole in that solid wall at 300m?" asked Valdez. Trianna obliged and after carefully aiming, she pulled the trigger after blowing a hole in the fabricated bulkhead. "These two are your basic functions, I want to see careful aiming before you fire at that target at 100m, you may fire in your time" said Valdez.
Valdez and both twins joined in, Marie went with a disruptor compression rifle. "I'm a disruptor kind of girl dad" she joked. The recruits were improving as they were given a hands on lesson on operating and cleaning their rifle, as a test Valdez had a batch covered in dirt, mud and sand for several hours and the recruits were tasked into cleaning those weapons and being able to fire them. "That's evil dad" said Trianna sarcastically. "It took me in basic training about an hour to get to grips with my first rifle complete with the mud coat and sandblast, I've given them the same time" replied Valdez.
After an hour the recruits handed over the rifles for inspection, "Take it apart and clean it again" was a common order from Valdez. "Lots of rookie mistakes, permission to booth a few?" asked Trianna. "No, it's a new weapon, let them familiarize themselves with it", then a phaser blast was heard and the target bulkhead was cracked open. "Who fired that?" asked Valdez. Recruit Seda owned up, "do that again" said Valdez and Seda aimed and pulled the trigger putting another hole next to her first one. "Rifle is spotless, it still works and it took you the best part of an hour and a half. Two out of three, not bad and the first to finish. Trianna give her the afternoon off as a reward" said Valdez. "Recruit, take the afternoon off for being the first to finish" ordered Trianna and Seda thanked Trianna and saluted the admiral.

I'm pleased to report the 82 survivors from the Los Lobos have assimilated well into the crew of the I.S.S. Enterprise. There have been a few 'incidents' that resulted in a few broken bones between several security officers; however, this was to be expected. Captain Heath has selected her officers she wants to be stationed in senior positions and has brought to my attention several suggestions that could improve the skills of the crew of the Enterprise. I'm not sure how counselors will benefit the Terran Empire, but if it works in the way she presented it to me, it could have its advantages for the soldiers of the empire, though perhaps not this empire.
The Bajor, Betazed and Trill sector commanders are still monitoring their space for chroniton particles; there has still been no sign of Admiral Leeta or her Enterprise. We've scanned as much of this Milky Way Galaxy as we can, but we still do not know where to start our search, It's possible she's still in the Federation universe. Only time will tell, it always does.
On a more positive note, I've finally decoded several files recovered from the wreckage of the Los Lobos. It appears for a Federation vessel she had her fair of dark secrets; we were able to retrieve a small ship from the remains of the shuttle bay, we don't know what it is, but we do know it's not from the same era as the wreckage. The vessel appears to be from the 29th Century. Is it possible the Galactic Union is aware of our temporal incursion? Why haven't they attempted to 'fix' the timeline? Is it possible this event, while tragic for them, will have a long-term benefit for their universe? I despise them; they only tamper with the timeline when it benefits their organization.

My reorganization of the Third Fleet is done, to improve efficiency I have reorganized the fleet into a Roman style legion. All my captains know what is expected of them though a few need a lot of my time to get them working on the same page.
Fleet Admiral Sito still does not fully trust me yet, understandable given the circumstances of my predecessor. I'll earn her trust the hard way through hard work and results. On a personal note, I've begun training Lt Marie Valdez personally as a future captain. The Lt shows promise and she has the drive to succeed. The MACOs have finished their shipboard training and are under the personal command of Lt Trianna Valdez, the Lt knows whats expected of her in that regard.
Until the legion is ordered to war, my captains and crews will keep practicing and rehearsing until we fight as one. End log
Admiral Nathan Valdez, Commanding officer- Third Assault Legion
I.S.S. Agincourt
Admiral Valdez had just finished his inspection of the MACO recruits, in the space of a month Trianna had them fighting as one and working as one. He got home only to hear the twins both working on their reports with Van Halen playing in the background. "Dad, I thought you might want to read them now" said Trianna and both twins passed over their reports. "Thank you girls and excellent taste musically" replied Valdez. "This came for you as well from the Enterprise" said Marie as she passed over the PADD.
"Thank you Marie" replied Valdez, "no problem dad" replied Marie. "You and your sister need to go to your quarters and get changed into something respectable, we've been invited to the Enterprise" said Valdez as he went to get his dress uniform ready. "Sito wants to see you I take it" asked Teanna. "It says informal but I'm not taking chances" replied Valdez. "Sito is your immediate superior, you and the girls better not keep her waiting" said Teanna from around the door.
The twins returned in their dress uniforms, "That's better, very neat looking. Remember girls, you two are to be on your best behavior" said Valdez, "and both of you, call this a lesson in etiquette. Manners cost nothing, you will be well mannered." Both twins understood what best behavior was, they were representing the family. After Valdez did one last inspection, he and the twins left for the Enterprise, "Have fun, computer stop music" said Teanna as she was called away to a medical emergency.

Cardassia System(mu)
The Agincourt pulled along side the Enterprise
"Remember girls," Valdez reminded as they stepped on to the transporter pad. "Best behavior."
"We know," they chorused.
A few seconds later the stepped off the pad on the Enterprise. Admiral Sito there waiting for them. She smiled and shook her head.
"I said 'informal' Nathan," she said gesturing at the red dress she was wearing.
"The definition of informal varies from person to person. Besides, there's no social occasion that dress blues can't handle."
He heard someone suppressing a giggle behind him.
"Now I'm sure there's a fascinating story behind that attempt not to laugh miss..."
"My daughters Trianna and Marie."
"A pleasure to meet you. Now Miss Trianna, what was that about?"
Trianna could not refuse a request from her superior.
"We were going a family picnic once and he did come out in dress for it. It was the one time I ever saw him wilt under mom's 'gaze of disapproval'."
"Well almost any occasion," Valdez corrected himself.
"There lies the reason I avoid domestic entanglements... mostly."
"It has its benefits," Nathan countered.
"We can discuss that later. Now I have a bottle of some of the last kanar in existence chilled and waiting for us. If you'd come this way..."
The door opened before Sito reached it as someone came. Her appearance caught Valdez's eye. Her hair much longer than standardly worn and those boots of hers were definitely not regulation. The new comer went straight to Sito.
"Oh good I caught you. I need you to sign off on..."
She trailed off and stopped as she looked at him.
"Is something wrong?" he enquired.
"Sorry, but the last time I saw your face it was laughing and firing torpedos at my bridge."
Marie nudged Trianna.
"it's her," she whispered.
"She's almost as tall as dad."
"I think it's the boots."
"I wanna pair like them."
"So do I."
Valdez ignored the whispering behind him.
"I'm sorry but we've never... Oh. It's you."
Sito smiled.
"Nathan Valdez. Meet Heath Layress. Formerly of the Federation and now captain of the Enterprise."
They saluted, then he held out his hand to shake hers.
"I've seen the reports of what actually happened at Antares. Holding a siege line with just nine ships. Then holding your own against six hundred with only fifty five, and five of those you had captured from their forces for sixteen hours. You have my respect captain. "
"Thank you."
"That rotating spherical defense formation of yours was very interesting. It was the Spartans at Thermopylae repeating itself"
"I... what's a Spartan?"
"Ancient Terran warriors. Famous for their last stand at Thermopylae, 300 against 250,000 Persians."
Heath smiled.
"I didn't think anyone could ever have worse odds than we did. How did that turn out for them?"
"Not well I'm afraid. But their story became legend."
"I suppose ours would have too. If anyone remembered it."
"Those of that do remember, honor the bravery of your crew."
"Thank you. And thank you for returning what was left of them to me."
"It was the least I could do. Spartans such as them should not languish in cells."
"Although with their ferocity," Marie thought out loud. "Wolves may be a better term."
"Our ship was called the Los Lobos," Heath agreed. "In one the languages of Earth it means 'The Wolves'."
"Yes, they are quite feisty. "Sito agreed. "They've managed to integrate with the rest of the crew very well. Some might think that they should have been here all along."
"It has taken some getting use to," Heath admitted. "But given I what I received in exchange for being here, I wear this uniform with pride."
"And very well too," Sito purred in her ear.
"I'm glad to hear that," Nathan said nodding. "But I do have to ask about..."
"Those boots," Trianna blurted out. "I'm sorry. they're cool."
"Maybe, but their not practical for duty."
"They're not a problem. They don't hinder me at all. Usually," Heath corrected herself looking at Sito.
"I allow her a great deal of leeway," Sito explained. "She runs my ship, quite well I might say. Some of her ideas for improvements have been things that I never would have thought of. I love and need that creativity from her. It's something we've drilled out of ourselves. However those boots are in a way, her leash. A reminder of who's in charge and how she goes where I say she can."
"Creative," commented Valdez
"I thought so."
"Yes. Well if you'll excuse me," Heath started. "I have things I have to attend to. Admiral, I need you to authorize these."
Sito placed her thumb print on the PADD.
"Thank you. Enjoy your dinner. Admiral," Heath nodded at Valdez.
"A pleasure meeting you captain." He replied
"I love her hair," Maria commented as Heath left
"Don't get any ideas young lady."
"Now, this way please," said Sito as she ushered them out the door toward their waiting dinner
"I hear you intentionally provoked Jodi" said Sito to Valdez. "It had to be done otherwise her temper would have clouded her judgment, she just needs to face those issues head on and deal with them. I've left a position for wing commander open for her as an incentive" replied Valdez. "Risky Nathan, I hear you have a protege " said Sito. "My eldest daughter Marie, she's a smart kid" replied Valdez.
"How do you tell them apart?" asked Sito, Valdez answered with "the eyes, Marie is Trianna's Terran half. It's complicated." "I'll explain Admiral" said Marie, "I'm from a reality where I was orphaned, I was in a really dark place in my life so I decided to save my family before they made a bad choice and well they adopted me as one of their own." "It cost her more than I could ever understand" replied Valdez, "but she's improving by the day. She's even picked up playing the guitar." Marie smiled, "I finally perfected Eddie Van Halen's Eruption" she said, "Admiral, a late 20th century Terran musician" explained Valdez. "I play drums" said Trianna smiling. "Musicians, that must take years of practice" replied Sito. "We both started playing instruments at age 5, mom and dad encourage us to be artistic" said Marie.
"Art is a big thing in the family, be it musically or visually" said Valdez, "dad collects artwork from a thing called Warhammer 40,000, an ancient Terran game" said Marie. "I like the visceral depictions of war and violence in dad's art collection" said Trianna. "Art is a path to the soul, it has to be admired" replied Valdez. "Very true indeed" said Sito, "girls, is life at home all military?"
"On duty, dad is our superior but off duty, he's regular old dad" said Trianna. "Trianna here is known for breaking people's arms if they ever get on her bad side, she's getting more creative with the breaks" said Valdez. "Why don't you just shoot them?" asked Sito, Trianna smiled and said "then they cannot learn their lesson." Sito smiled in approval, "Nathan, your children are well mannered and behaved, they are a credit to you." "Thank you Admiral" replied Valdez, "discipline has always been a part of their upbringing, they may be 19 and 20 respectively but they know better than to aggravate their superiors." Sito approved of the ordered upbringing.
"Nathan, you have an interesting hobby, Terran military history" said Sito, Valdez answered with "History can teach many valuable lessons, ignore history and you ignore it at your peril." "Agreed" replied Sito. Sito then asked the twins "I hear you two have emptied bars." The twins laughed, "Mom says we drink like MACOs, she's not wrong either about that" said Trianna. "I let them have their first drink with the family on their 18th birthday, Teanna insists they must be supervised around alcohol and I agree with her" said Valdez. "Mom and dad are very close, they celebrated their 20th anniversary recently" said Trianna
"Mom is the only person close to dad that puts the fear of the gods into him, it's funny watching mom show dad who's boss when both are off duty" said Marie. "Makes it impossible for me to avoid monthly medicals, my wife is the Agincourt's CMO." replied Valdez. "That's how Betazoid families are, the women rule the household" said Sito, Valdez answered with "true, my wife is formidable and I would not change that." "I see it as a sign of unity, an ideal the empire needs to get it's head around. Just look around and listen, all you hear is is racism and xenophobia" said Sito. "All species within the empire need to work together, divided we are weak but united we are strong" answered Valdez as Sito got the last bottle of kanar, "Your predecessor decided to play asteroids on Cardassia, he created a multi extinction level event" said Sito.
"Asteroids, that's a good one" said Trianna, "thalaron, even better" said Marie. Sito laughed and asked "What about both together?" "That's creative" said Trianna, Marie answered with "double knockout, that sounds fun." Sito smiled at the twins' creativity and said "girls, when we begin the expansion, you two unleash that creativity on the empire's enemies." "Yes maam" said both twins in chorus. "Do they always do that?" asked Sito, Valdez answered "pretty much." "Keep them on the right path Nathan, it will be hard and stressful but it's worth it in the end" advised Sito, "agreed" said Valdez and everyone spent the rest of the evening enjoying themselves.
I.S.S. Agincourt, several hours later
Valdez and the twins got home, when Teanna got back she was confronted with the girls both crashed out on the couches. "How did it go?" she asked Valdez, he answered with "Sito called them a credit to us, well mannered and behaved." "You kept them out of trouble, I had to deal with a Trianna special earlier, arm broken in 15 places and then nearly pulled out of the socket" Teanna replied back, "She's getting creative" responded Valdez as he went to get the spare blankets and covered both twins up.
"Some things never change" he said to Teanna, she just smiled and said "indeed, those dress uniforms will need to be cleaned tomorrow. They are not meant to be slept in." "Teanna, really no point in waking them up now. They're out like a power grid" replied Valdez. "Agreed, and Nathan you have an appointment in sickbay at 1000 hours tomorrow. Monthly medical" responded Teanna. "Yes maam" replied Valdez jokingly to which Teanna said "sarcasm, funny."
Both Mr and Mrs Valdez decided to get an early night, both were on duty in about 13 hours.

Awesome series. Just played them all in a row. I like Naynta Lot's character, especially the scene on the colony when she's feeding the Starfleet npcs to the sharks.
The Iconian scene was a bit weird but over than that it was all good.
Jodi was back in the legion, she immediately beamed aboard the Agincourt to report to the admiral. "Enter, girls go back to your stations" said Valdez. The twins said "yes dad" and left the room saluting to both the admiral and Jodi. "Captain Iodokar reporting for duty" said Jodi as she saluted. "At ease Captain, take a seat" ordered Valdez. "Admiral I'm ready to take my post" said Jodi as she took the seat opposite Valdez. "You seem calmer, what happened?" asked Valdez, Jodi answered with "I told mother what you told me, she supported your assessment of me at the time."
"I hear you are taking up meditation to help clear your mind" replied Valdez. "Doctor Valdez showed me a few techniques, if I'm feeling angry I meditate in my quarters" answered Jodi. "May I called you Jodi?" asked Valdez, Jodi approved and answered "Admiral's prerogative." "Jodi, I put in a call to the Regent this morning. I inquired about securing Naynta's release, I just have to get Sito to approve the request" said Valdez. "Will my mother and Sito approve?" asked Jodi.
"Honest answer, I don't know if I can secure your sister's release. It's up to Sito and the Regent, if any news about Naynta comes through, I pass it onto you as soon as I get it" answered Valdez. "Thank you sir, if you can get her released what do you intend to do with her assignment wise?" asked Jodi. "My first instinct would be to bust her down to Lt but that said, I need experienced captains so a demotion to captain would be the wiser course of action. She would be under very strict supervision though" answered Valdez.
"Naynta would hate losing that power, she would hold that against you" said Jodi, Valdez answered "I know, maybe losing that power might teach her a lesson." Jodi approved of giving Naynta fresh start and said "Make sure you assign her to me, I'll keep her in line." "I'll put the call in now, Lt T'Val put me through to the Enterprise" said Valdez. Sito's face appeared on the screen, "Admiral, how can I help you?" asked Sito, Valdez said "sorry to disturb you Admiral but is there any update on Naynta Lot? The sooner this issue is resolved, the better. I'm concerned at Jodi's state of mind, it's causing her distractions" Sito answered "mother said you called her this morning, what do you have in mind for Naynta?" "A demotion to captain and being assigned to Captain Iodokar, Jodi was most insistent about that and I'm inclined to agree." "I'll put the call in today to mother, no guarantee of Naynta being released but I'll try, Sito out" said the face on the screen and the screen turned black.
"I may end up owing Sito a favor" said Valdez. "Sito will call it in when she's ready to" replied Jodi, Valdez agreed. "Thank you for trying, I may end up owing you one" said Jodi, Valdez answered with "do your duty to the best of your ability, you owe me nothing Jodi." "Firm but fair" replied Jodi smiling. "I need you focused and able to do your duty" answered Valdez. "Agreed, Doctor Valdez has requested I do more meditation classes with her and the twins" said Jodi, Valdez smiled and said "You are taking ownership of your problems and dealing with them, keep up the good work. Keep doing the meditation and you'll control your temper in no time at all." Jodi thanked Valdez for his concern at her well being.
"Jodi follow me" said Valdez as he got a box from the drawer and both officers went to the bridge. On the bridge the whole crew stood to attention as Valdez opened the box and attached a wing to Jodi's uniform, "Captain Jodi Iodokar, I'm promoting you to the rank of wing commander with all the privileges of rank. Congratulations you earned it" said Valdez shaking Jodi's hand. "I won't fail you" replied Jodi, Valdez answered with "I know, I have faith in you." Jodi smiled as she admired the new wing on her uniform, "Wing commander, I'm putting you in charge of the 352nd Tactical Wing. Look after the captains under you and they will follow you to hell" said Valdez. "I will, you have my word" said Jodi as she saluted.
"Jodi, let me introduce you to your two senior captains, Captain Charles Nelson of the I.S.S. Nimrod and Captain Cerys of the I.S.S. Peleliu" said Valdez as both both Nelson and Cerys saluted Jodi. "Wing Commander, my friends know me as Charlie, pleased to meet you Captain Iodokar" said Captain Nelson, Cerys said "Captain a pleasure to meet you" Jodi shook both captains' hands and said "welcome to the 352nd"
"Jodi, a wise Terran once said, so it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be put at risk even in a hundred battles. If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose. If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself." "Who said that?" asked Jodi, Valdez answered "Sun Tzu, he was an ancient Terran general." "All warfare is based on deception. Hence, when we are able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must appear inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near" said Trianna, Marie countered with "I will force the enemy to take our strength for weakness, and our weakness for strength, and thus will turn his strength into weakness"
"A family of philosophers, admiral you are full of surprises" said Jodi.
I.S.S. Agincourt, several hours later
Valdez got home and got changed into his off duty fatigues, "Teanna, thank you for helping Captain Iodokar, she seems more in control of her emotions" he said. Teanna smiled and said "she has a troubled mind, I asked her to join me and the girls with some exercises, she's a good pupil. The girls are back" as the twins got in from their duty shifts, both twins hit the replicator and got two strong coffees.
"Dad, we've got to find out where Captain Heath got those....." said Marie before she was cut off mid sentence by Valdez. "Girls, the answer is still no about those boots" said Valdez. "But dad...." said Trianna before Teanna cut her off mid sentence. "Young ladies, I do not want to have to treat you both for broken ankles. Those boots are too dangerous" said Teanna. "What about the hair?" asked Marie. Valdez answered "Young ladies, you have to look respectable, if you both insist on having long hair it's shoulder length maximum and tied back into something neat and tidy while on duty. That's end of that subject"
Both twins knew pushing the issue further would not get them anywhere and backed down, "girls, off duty it's entirely up to you within reason" said Valdez. "Self discipline?" asked Trianna to which Valdez answered "Indeed for both of you." "No over ruling dad" said Marie, Trianna knew better than to challenge her parents. "Now that's out of the way, you two impressed me earlier quoting those passages exactly" said Valdez. "We memorized the whole book dad" replied both twins smiling.
"That's my girls" said Valdez smiling. "Dad, what are those in the corner with our names on them?" asked both twins in chorus. "Open them and find out, since you two never got chance to celebrate your 20th birthdays, me and your mother decided to get you both something creative" answered Valdez. Both twins opened the boxes and ran up and hugged Valdez followed by a "thanks dad and thanks mom" before they went back to the boxes and pulled out two electric guitars. "Just keep the noise down with them that's all. The whole corridor does not need to hear you two jamming to Slayer's Raining Blood" said Teanna. "We'll soundproof our quarters when we practice" said both twins and they started tuning up their new guitars.

Awesome series. Just played them all in a row. I like Naynta Lot's character, especially the scene on the colony when she's feeding the Starfleet npcs to the sharks.
The Iconian scene was a bit weird but over than that it was all good.
Heath is being a bad influence on the young. Her rise to power begins now.
Sounds like someone needs to go to the agony booth. :O
And there is one admiral following Sito's advise to keep the young on the right path. The twins cannot win at home either, both parents have a united front on that.
@galatt, Mrs Valdez might have to have a quiet word with Heath. She is very calm and to the point especially when it comes to her girls. A meeting between her and Papela would interesting as both have a somewhat unique view on the universe. They are mothers. @thay8472, What potential does Sito see in the twins? Their capacity for destruction is not to be underestimated despite their young ages

Admiral Valdez, Doctor Valdez and the twins were on board for a meeting with Sito, Valdez saw the look on Teanna's face when she saw Heath. "Someone's about to get an earful" said Valdez to Sito, Sito laughed and asked "the look of disapproval?" Valdez answered "I hope Heath is prepared at what is about to hit her, when Teanna has that look everyone dives for cover." Sito saw the funny side of it and said "this should be interesting."
Teanna introduced herself to Heath politely and said "don't corrupt my daughters" in a very calm manner. "They asked about the boots and the hair first" replied Heath. Teanna was blunt to the point, "I do not want to be treating broken ankles and legs, those boots are too dangerous for my girls." "Told you" said Valdez to Sito, "Heath has to back down here, she's dealing with a mother." Sito smiled and said to Valdez, "I hope your wife does not injure my captain too badly" as a slap was heard on the bridge and Heath reeled back from it.
"Sito, any assistance would be helpful" asked Heath as Teanna ripped into her verbally. "Not my fight Layress" replied Sito seeing the funny side of it. "Captain, you've got on Teanna's bad side. Just back down and admit defeat" said Valdez, Heath was shocked at the ferocity of Teanna. "My girls are being carefully steered on a path of honor and duty to their family and the empire, I do not want them going down that slippery slope Naynta Lot went down" said Teanna, "and that includes the non regulation hair." Heath had no counter to the verbal assault Teanna unleashed.
The twins winced, "Mom's not happy" said Marie to Trianna. "Poor soul, anyone know of any last rites" said Trianna trying not to laugh. "Quiet you two, by the way you two are confined to quarters when off duty for the next two weeks" said Valdez and the twins complied. "If Captain Heath does not back down, Teanna will put her in sickbay" said Valdez. Sito decided to act as peacemaker and stopped it before anyone got too badly hurt. "My apologies admiral" said Teanna. "Heath, try not to antagonize the good doctor, just back down" ordered Sito. Heath backed down and apologized to Teanna immediately. Teanna accepted it and told her "next time, show responsibility around my girls."
"Ma'am, I'm wearing these boots by admiral Sito's orders. They're her way of... keeping me in place. She uses them to stop me when she wants to. Ask them if they want to deal with that. As for my hair, tell them that if they want to fight a battle out numbered ten to one, get their ship blown out from under them, watch their friends die around them, have to give up every thing and every one in their lives to save their friends, be branded a traitor and never be able to go back home. Then they, with the admiral's blessings, may wear their hair however they like" reasoned Heath and Teanna calmed down, "I do apologize for that, the girls will be dealt with accordingly for their transgressions. Grounding is only the start, I'm sure there are some nasty and horrible jobs for them. It's the mother in me" said Teanna. Heath said "accepted, if the twins bother me again, I'll put them in their place" and both of the made their peace.
Heath left the bridge to clean up the cut left by Teanna's slap. "Girls, I'll be having words with you two later. Nathan, I'll meet you back on the Agincourt" said Teanna as she left with the twins. "I hear you promoted Jodi" said Sito to Valdez. Valdez answered "she's been attending meditation classes with my wife and the girls, the improvement is there but Jodi won't calm down until the situation surround her sister is resolved." "An accurate assessment, Jodi has always had temper issues since she was a girl" said Sito, Valdez understood the depth of the problem with Jodi and answered "Trianna was just as bad with that Terran side of her's, it's the reason I can understand Jodi very well."
"Can you trust Naynta?" asked Sito, Valdez's answer was short and to the point, "at the moment no, as it stands Naynta would have to be drilled to the point she knows never to play her games and defy authority again." Sito had to think about it. "You will need to speak to the regent about getting Naynta released, I cannot authorize it without mother's approval" said Sito honestly. "Looks like I've got to go to Betazed and speak to the regent face to face" replied Valdez. "Good luck with that, mother is formidable at the best of times" answered Sito.

Valdez got back and immediately consulted with Teanna on how to punish the twins. "Any nasty ideas?" asked Teanna, Valdez had to think about this before he made up his mind. "Two weeks military discipline should do it and I've got got a nice and smelly job for them first. Call them in" said Valdez. The twins were marched in and ordered to stand to attention, "girls, not only are you grounded for two weeks, you are also going to be cleaning the officer's toilet blocks. Trust me it will be unpleasant and very smelly" said Valdez.
"Then girls, you will assist me in sickbay cleaning up after surgeries and cleaning the bed sheets. You will change them as well" said Teanna. "Your quarters will be cleaned to my standard and there will be daily inspections of the rooms and your kit" said Valdez reinforcing the point that the twin were being punished. "By the way, if any of you two are thinking using the replicator in your quarters, don't bother. I've locked it, you are on military rations for the next two weeks" said Teanna. "Mom and dad mean business" thought Marie but Teanna picked that thought up.
"Accept the punishment girls, you did the crime so you must do the time" said Teanna. "Don't try and get around your mother by talking to me about reduction in you punishment either, we're a united front and to make a point, I'm stripping you of your ranks until the punishment is finished" said Valdez. "Pick up those buckets and cleaning equipment and get started, I will be expecting you in sickbay in eight hours" ordered Teanna. The twins took the punishment without protest and got to work.
"Two weeks of hell, that'll teach them to cause problems" said Valdez. "I agree, two weeks of back breaking chores will do them the world of good" replied Teanna.

You do realize that Teanna verbally and physically assaulted a superior officer? She's looking at minimum a day in the booth if not outright execution if Heath chooses to do so
Teanna has reduced herself in rank voluntarily to atone for that, that said she's willing to take the booth for her actions just not in front of the twins for obvious reasons. When it comes to her girls, she's very protective of them.
Heath executing her would be a mistake, Teanna would not learn from her mistake and it would destroy a family not to mention the twins would despise Heath for it.
What would convince Heath to go for the lesser punishment?

Heath is use to dealing with situations like that. She would point out that any other officer wouldn't hesitate to execute her for doing that. Her temper almost cost her children their mother. She needs to learn to control herself as well. What ever punishment she has planned for her daughters, she will join them in doing it. And the next time she feels the need to put some body part in that close to her again without permission, she'll return home with out it.
Just wait until Heath finds out it was Marie who vented the Resurrection's hospital wards at the Battle of Antares deliberately to hinder casualty clearance and used Thalaron weapons on whole planets at a time.

Admiral Valdez got the message from Heath, his reaction was not good when he read it. "Teanna, you may want to read this" he said passing over the PADD. "Nothing you can do about this?" asked Teanna, Valdez just answered "Out of my control, You are lucky to get this." Teanna just accepted it and said "fine, it's two weeks, I can handle it." "Let's just say Heath is irate about this, could have been a whole lot worse" replied Valdez.
Teanna immediately understood what whole lot worse meant, "My temper could have cost this family dearly, I'll take the same punishment as the girls" she said. "A formal apology would go a long way as well" said Valdez slightly relieved, he was not off the hook either. "I've got to keep your temper in check, Heath was most insistent on that" he said. "Does Heath know about the thalaron weapon in the deflector?" asked Teanna. "She's most likely worked that out already" replied Valdez.
"How are you going to calm Heath down?" asked Teanna, Valdez answered "I'm not, you are. You hit her so you must make the formal apology yourself, Heath might accept it, she might not. It's out of my control, nothing I can do about it." Teanna sensed the brutal honesty in Valdez and said "I've never known you to hold back, you outrank Heath at least." Valdez replied "I'll try and calm her down but you must join the girls with their punishment, I suggest you meditate on this don't repeat the mistake again." Teanna knew she had messed up and left the room to join the girls in their punishment.
"Lt T'Val, put me through to the Enterprise" ordered Valdez. Heath answered the call, "Admiral, has your wife calmed down yet?" asked Heath. "She's joined the girls in doing their punishment, I'll keep an eye on her temper in the meantime" answered Valdez, "I've also suggested she writes a formal apology for her actions." Heath approved and asked "what's it going to cost you?" Valdez answered "two weeks sleeping on the couch until Teanna calms down." "She's mad at you for not taking her side" replied Heath, Valdez answered with "I did not know she was going to do that, I've never seen her like that before." "Admiral, keep an eye on her and keep her in line. Your family got off lightly Heath out" and the screen went black.
"I'm going to have the longest two weeks of my life" thought Valdez.

-Lord Commander Solar Macharius
Praetorian Guard ... I don't know why but I immediately thought of the Xenomorph Praetorian.
The Praetorian Guard guarded the emperors of Rome until Constantine the Great disbanded them. Provoking Jodi was intentional, she needs to face her own issues and deal with them.
-Lord Commander Solar Macharius

"Military Log: 2411.0482

The Iconian scene was a bit weird but over than that it was all good.

I.S.S. Agincourt

Yeah, I might change that bit.

Some. I did like the hidden ship models in that colony map. Are there any ToS era themed mirror foundry missions out there?

I.S.S. Enterprise
I.S.S. Agincourt
-Lord Commander Solar Macharius
Heath executing her would be a mistake, Teanna would not learn from her mistake and it would destroy a family not to mention the twins would despise Heath for it.
What would convince Heath to go for the lesser punishment?

I.S.S. Agincourt
