Admiral Valdez was briefing his captains on a planned offensive against rebel forces encroaching on Sito's sectors. "Ladies and Gentlemen, this rebel cell has become our problem to deal with . Objectives are search and destroy, any rebel world who surrenders are to be treated leniently. If they resist, only those who bore arms will be punished and the civilian populations deported, we're going with the carrot and the stick here, civilian casualties are to kept low, many are loyal citizens."
"Hearts and minds admiral?" asked Jodi and Valdez smiled. "Jodi, that's the idea. We need the populations on our side to deal with this insurgency, all insurgent cells rely on the support of the people" answered Valdez. "Leniency is the carrot and deportation the stick" noted Jodi to herself. "Since we must expect hit and run attacks to our flanks, we'll fight in this formation. It's a called a rotating defense sphere. The carriers, landing ships and command ships in the middle of the sphere with cruisers and escorts providing protection flying the rotating sphere, we will have no flanks to worry about" said Valdez laying out the tactical plan.
"I agree, it's highly effective. That's from experience" said Captain Naynta Lot in agreement. "Maybe we need to downsize the amount of ships in the sphere to 100 and keep the other half in reserve to pincer the rebels once they are drawn into combat?" suggested Trianna. "It's logical, use the sphere as the anvil to hold them in place and the reserves to attack from the flanks and rear as the hammer" said Solat.
"Jodi, Naynta,I need you two co-ordinate the flanking groups, the rest form up and set course for Draylon" ordered Valdez.
Battle of Draylon
Valdez's forces were on the battlefield preparing it, warp cores had been deployed like mines and the sphere was formed up ready. The Klingon rebels appeared six hours later and began to advance into the debris field, Valdez watched and waited before detonating the mines pushing the Klingons into the sphere.
The sphere held as planned, Valdez planned his next move. The Klingon rebels had committed two thirds of their forces their bases were under attack from Romulan Aristocracy fleets. Valdez waited as the Klingons were pinned against the sphere before he gave the signal. "Flanks now" he ordered as the Imperial reserves entered the battle wrapping up the rebel flank.
"Witch's cauldron" ordered Valdez and the Imperial fleet broke into attack formation and tore up the trapped rebel fleet in a matter of hours. The klingons counter-attacked but they were wiped out after another hours fighting. "A result for the Imperial fleet" noted Valdez in his log. The Klingon rebellion had lost two thirds of it's fleet at Draylon and now they fell back in retreat.
"Send to Enterprise, Draylon defended and rebel forces virtually destroyed" ordered Valdez and the signal was sent over a secure channel. Trianna had watched the whole battle and smiled, her strategy she had suggested had worked beautifully and had accounted for 250 destroyed Klingon ships. "Trianna, well done" said Valdez smiling. "He he, I have two good teachers" she replied.
"Indeed you do, Trianna walk with me" said Valdez, Trianna looked a bit puzzled at first thinking she was in trouble but she was reassured when Valdez smiled and told her "you did good, I'm proud of you." They visited Marie in sickbay and arrived in time to oversee the installation of her prosthetic leg. "You build that?" asked Valdez and Trianna smiled and answered "yes." General Wray smiled, he knew his niece had put family before personal glory.

Vunal, the Reman Captain of Falcata class warbird Kite, shook his head in disdain. "Even if the Klingons were far to brazen , well more so than usual. Or if they just didn't expect the enemy to have prepared for their coming, that was foolish of them." He brought his fist down on his chair.
Realizing that his group of 5 warbirds should be leaving, before they were detected he contacted the Crusader at the far rebel base, ordering the artillery vessel to fire on the approaching Aritocrocy ships.

Valdez had achieved his first objective of securing the system and now started his offensive to search and destroy all rebel forces in the Draylon Sector, his next target was a hidden base on the far side of the system. The armada drew up into a defensive formation and the carriers launched their fighters and bombers at the moon of Draylon IV.
General Wray's division was landed by Intrepids and pathfinders as the Imperial air support kept the defender's heads down. A beach head had been formed with 24 hours. "Wray to Valdez, you may commence landings of the MACOs" said Wray over the channel. Meanwhile Marie had got into the base's computer systems from a terminal provided to her by her father. "External defenses down, you are all clear to move in" said Marie over a secure channel.
The Betazoids and MACOs stormed in and secured the base after 12 hours of fighting. The rebel commander, Captain Richards surrendered to Wray. "Rebel forces have surrendered" reported Wray. "Execute those who resisted" replied Valdez and Wray's troops put the entire garrison to sword. "Commence deportation of the civilian population" ordered Wray and the troops cleared every building separating the military age from the non military age.
The deportation of the moon's population was complete with 48 hours. Valdez smiled, he had broken the rebellion within Draylon. In a post victory celebration, he had a drink with his captains. "You have promise Miss Valdez" said Naynta in a sign of respect to Trianna. "Thank you captain" replied Trianna, Teanna pushed Marie in. "Marie, thanks for the assist" said General Wray smiling. "Mom's put me on physiotherapy" said Marie to Valdez.
"Then we will assist you in your recovery as a family" replied Valdez and Marie smiled, she knew her family had her back.

Admiral Valdez was in sickbay assisting Teanna in Marie's physiotherapy. "Feeling unsteady" said Marie trying to gain her balance, Valdez encouraged her and advised "small steps first, have faith in yourself." Marie took it to heart and put weight on the new leg, "I can do this" she said to herself. Teanna made sure Marie did not push herself too far.
Trianna walked in asked "permission to help?" Teanna told Trianna to give her sister moral support. Trianna talked Marie through having to learn to walk again. "Let's start with something short, 20 metres" said Teanna to Marie and Marie holding on a support rail tried to gain her balance but she fell. Valdez picked her up and said "short steps, don't get too far ahead of yourself." "Dad's got a point" said Trianna.
Marie kept trying until she succeeded after 4 hours. "Remember, small steps" said Teanna sensing frustration in Marie. "Don't give up, be strong" said Trianna to encourage Marie. "It's hard" said Marie frustrated, Valdez stepped in and told Marie to take a break. "It will be hard at first but you need to fight the urge to give up" said Valdez. "It's the balance part that's defeating me" replied Marie, "the beginning is the hard part, you give up now and you will never forgive yourself" said Teanna.
"You have strength within, you have to find it" advised Trianna and both Valdez and Teanna agreed. "Marie, we'll take a break for today, tomorrow you need to be strong" said Teanna.
Valdez got a message from Solat, "Nathan, Captains Lot and Iodokar have come aboard" she report to Valdez. "I'm expecting them old friend" replied Valdez. "Interesting" noted Jodi to Naynta, "what is?" replied Naynta back. "The Admiral does not trust his own species" answered Jodi and Naynta replied "He was raised by Betazoids." Both captains were escorted to sickbay under guard.
"Admiral" said Naynta saluting her superior, "At ease ladies" ordered Valdez. "Reason I asked you both to come over is I'm trying something different. Previously it was Naynta in charge and Jodi as first officer, I'm switching the roles around. Naynta you will be Jodi's first officer in the 352nd" he said briefing them. "With respect sir, any reason why?" asked Naynta. "You are impetuous. I need my commanders to be in control of those urges. Jodi has been steady and reliable" answered Valdez.
"Captains" said Trianna as she saluted them. "Miss Valdez, hows your sister doing?" asked Jodi, "Struggling but she knows her family has her back" answered Trianna. "You've changed" said Naynta to Trianna. "We've both changed, a near death experience kinda does that" replied Trianna. "Marie, I've got an order for you" said Naynta to Marie as she went to Maries level. "Ma'am" answered Marie, "Recover and be strong" responded Naynta.
"Yes Ma'am" answered Marie and Naynta smiled, the twins were no longer the violent thugs that put her in sickbay but they had become more gentle. "I know what those two are capable of, they broke both my arms when I threatened them" said Naynta to Jodi, "They may look gentle and innocent but they are not to be underestimated. You tried your games with them and they put you in sickbay" replied Jodi back.
"Gods help the empire's enemies, You should have seen Mr Wildman " joked Naynta. "He had it coming" said Trianna calmly. "Captains" said Teanna as she began running scans on Marie's nerve ending in the left leg. "Doctor, You are a lot calmer now" replied Naynta, "And you should know better than to threaten someone" replied Teanna. "Noted" replied Naynta.
U.S.S. Los Lobos
Trianna was in sickbay for her check up with Doctor Lot. "Trianna, everything is fine" said Naynta. "Thanks Doc" replied Trianna, she was then introduced to Lolo. "Death to organics!!" yelled Lolo before she suddenly returned to her EMH programming. "Lolo, how would you like a programming upgrade?" asked Trianna. Lolo computed Trianna's question and answered "why would I want an upgrade?"
"Told you" said Naynta laughing. "Keep the personality" said Trianna laughing. "Something amusing you Lt Cmdr?" asked Lolo and Trianna replied "Lolo, keep the personality. I just want to upgrade your programme and install it into an android body." Lolo gave a puzzled look and answered "why would I want a physical body?" "Me and Tamiko tried to get her a physical body but Lolo locked us out of sickbay to stop us from doing that" said Naynta.
"Lolo, just think of the possibilities, you in a physical body and you could achieve something beyond your programming" reasoned Trianna but Lolo refused the upgrade. "I'll respect your wishes" said Trianna back and Lolo agreed. "Nice attempt, let's hit the bar. Paris, Tamiko and Pru are waiting" said Naynta and both Trianna and Naynta left for the mess hall.

Admiral Valdez had got a tip off from his operatives of a rebel cell on Andoss, he moved the legion into orbit. "Governor Pryce, tell your troops to stand down. You have 10 minutes to comply" ordered Valdez over the channel. "Admiral, what is the reasoning behind this madness?" asked the Terran governor. "It's come to my attention you have been harboring rebels and their sympathizers, these orders are from the Regent herself" answered Valdez
The screen went blank and the planetary defense grid was turned on Valdez's fleet. "I guess he won't surrender" said Trianna to Valdez. "All ships target those installations and fire" ordered Valdez, the fleet responded and took down the defense grid before it came online fully. "Hail the governor again and make sure the Regent is listening" ordered Valdez. "Admiral, tell that alien filth she has no authority over a superior species" said the governor over the channel.
Regent Lot had heard enough, "Admiral, purge the planet and make sure you take the governor alive" she ordered to Valdez. "Consider it done your grace" replied Valdez. The fleet moved into position to fire. "All ships, execute general order 24. The regent demands nothing remains alive on the surface. Transporter room 2, beam the governor into a holding cell" ordered Valdez. The fleet acknowledged the order and the governor was beamed into a holding cell on the Agincourt.
The fleet glassed the planet and any ships trying to escape were shot down. In 24 hours it was all over. "Hail the Regent, her prize is in a holding cell and the planet purged" ordered Valdez. On Betazed, Kestrella delivered the news the fleet was heading back to base with their prisoner. "Mother, the deed is done. Andoss purged and the traitor is in Imperial custody" she reported to the Regent. "Good, when they arrive I want the Admiral and his senior commanders to see me here at the new palace and tell the admiral our "guest" is to be delivered unharmed. I'll deal with the traitor myself" ordered Papela. "Of course mother" replied Kestrella.
On Agincourt, Valdez got his new orders and ordered the fleet to set course for Betazed. "This is an exception to the rule, our losses would have been too high" said Valdez. He then left the bridge leaving Solat in command, Trianna went with him to check up on Marie's progress. In sickbay Teanna was pleased, Marie had managed to walk another 10 metres. "Nathan, Marie made 30 metres today, she's showing signs of improvement" reported Teanna.
"Excellent, Keep it up" said Valdez to Marie and Teanna smiled before she gave the glare of disapproval. "Nathan, I know you too well. Smuggling in chocolate for Marie without my permission" said Teanna. "Dad, you've been busted" said Marie laughing. "Definitely have" joked Valdez, "Mom knows best in this case" added Trianna. "I definitely do, Nathan next you try to smuggle contraband in, be less obvious" replied Teanna.
"Would I do a thing like that?" asked Valdez sarcastically, "Yes" replied Teanna, Marie and Trianna at the same time. "OK, you win Teanna" replied Valdez. "Good, how about later we lock our quarters doors and leave a do not disturb sign up?" whispered Teanna in Valdez's ear. Valdez smiled, he had been forgiven. "I'm sure mom and dad are trying mentally scar us for life" joked Trianna, "as long as they keep the noise down" replied Marie laughing.

Centurion Vural's squadron (one of several dozen scattered across Imperial space after operation Dark Phoenix failed), maintained stealthed pursuit of the Agincourt. "Is she onboard?" He questioned?
"I'm reading two of the she-monster."
Two? "All stop, no sense risking detection getting close to the planet."
"What now Sir?"
"We watch wait and stalk our prey... If we're lucky a changing might get onboard." Vural laced his fingers together I front of his face, elbows resting on his arm rests.

Commander Tohel looked at her tactical display, "ETA to Betazed?" asked Tohel. "20 minutes ma'am" reported Toven Khev. Sub-Commander gave the signal to the rest of the squadron to decloak and the Mogai squadron entered orbit. "Tohel to Valdez, our government has given our support to your anti partisan sweep" said Tohel over the secure channel.
"Commander, we have reason to believe there maybe a changling in our ranks, all ships have been instructed to run phase sweeps on every deck. I suggest your captains to the same" replied Valdez. "Thank you for the warning, admiral. I've instructed my Remans to be vigilant" replied Tohel. "I need an update of your operations" asked Valdez over the channel. "The bulk of our forces have been clearing the Klingon sectors of partisans. Drozana is under siege as we speak" reported Tohel.
"Good, tell your government that they are to tie down as much rebel forces as possible, we'll clear our sectors" ordered Valdez. "As you wish admiral" replied Tohel. "I'm bringing your squadron into the legion, make sure your crews know they will be under Imperial authority" responded Valdez. "They have just been informed" replied Tohel.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. The phase sweeps had been running throughout the whole ship and they had caught an infiltrator. "Keep the changling in it's solid state, make sure it suffers. We will not tolerate spies" ordered Valdez. "Yes Nathan" replied Solat, "old friend, keep me updated. I'll be at the Regent's palace, the Regent has called a council of war" responded Valdez. Solat got to work on questioning the changling, Trianna assisted Solat in changing the phase field to inflict more suffering on the changling in the holding cell. "Lt, keep the phase variance at 8.5%, it'll break once it realizes it cannot go to it's liquid state" ordered Solat.
"Yes ma'am" acknowledged Trianna smiling. "Try not to enjoy it Trianna, you need to be emotionally calm" advised Solat. "Ma'am" replied Trianna and she made sure the changling felt pain. In sickbay, Teanna had Betazoid guards stationed to protect Marie. "Obin, protect your cousin" ordered Teanna, "Yes aunt Teanna" replied Lt Obin Wray. "Your uncle will not be happy if anything happens to her" replied Teanna. "Neither will dad. Uncle Nathan and dad are not to crossed, I made that mistake once and they made my life hell for weeks afterwards" answered Obin.
"I know they did, they had you cleaning all the farm buildings the last time you angered them" replied Teanna. "Well I did borrow dad's shuttle without permission" answered Obin. "Why is it the males in this family do stupid things?" asked Teanna, Obin smiled, he answered his aunt's question with "to be fair, dad and my uncle did cross granddad and grandmother when they were younger, they wrecked a manure silo with a disruptor rifle by accident." "I know, they had to rebuild it under supervision and they stunk for days afterwards if I remember rightly" replied Teanna.
"Dad brought me up the same way him and uncle Nathan were brought up, hard work and honesty" answered Obin, Teanna smiled, "Obin, best way. I was brought up by my parents to be a mother. They were very strict so I left home and joined the resistance" replied Teanna. "Where you met uncle Nathan" answered Obin. "Dear nephew, I'll tell you the same thing I tell your cousins. Blood is thicker than water" replied Teanna. "Yes aunt Teanna" answered Obin.

Vural gave the order to break away from their position, having the warbirds spread out.
In less than an hour hed located a lone imperial frigate, and captured the vessel. He was quite angry- none of the original members of BG scythe had boarded Admiral Valdez's ship. He hadn't known about the sheer sodding number of Betazoids to worry about!
"If Veel'Riz were here he'd -" began the shield officer.
"The Star commander is dead, we let the Jem'hadar do what they do best. Unless you intend to try and stop them?"
"what if the Changling talks?"
Vural raised a brow. "They learn a group of 6 Union warbirds are prowling Imperial space... they're not going to be able to track us."
The frigate began moving to Batezed slowly moving towards the planet at half impulse, shields raised.
"I.S.S. Atila all stop and assume visual." Came the demand from trafic control.
"Comm system damaged repeat, you're breaking up." Responded the first.
"Alter your course-"
The frigate cut coms accelerating to full impulse- heading right for the planet. Simultaneously three parasite torpedoes full of raging jem'hadar flew out of the launch tube towards the ship holding their captive God.
As the projectiles slammed into the hull, the warbirds set their clocks, Vural counted his breaths as he prepared to order his ship to make an insane rescue at warp speed.
They'd have another opportunity to get that... thing.

"Beam Teanna and the girls to the surface, we've been boarded" ordered Valdez. Teanna and the twins were beamed to a secure compound in the Regent's palace with an explanation why. "Security teams seal off the decks leading into the holding cell" was his next order. Solat had taken charge of the security teams and set up her defense accordingly. "Give them a clear route to the cells, once they are in seal them in ans vent the room" ordered Solat.
"Ma'am" acknowledged Lt Wray. "What if they make it past the trap?" he asked afterwards, "then we will pull back and vent the entire section into space, all sections in the breach zone contain the raiders. Not a step back" ordered Solat. "Yes ma'am" called the MACOs in unison. On the bridge Valdez noted the tactics of his opponent and countered. "Charge the deflector to emit a tachyon pulse. All ships form a tachyon net around the planet and form the sphere" he ordered.
All ships acknowledged the order and activated the net revealing the warbirds. "Wipe them out" ordered Valdez. Meanwhile the raiders were being contained and lured into the death traps Solat had set up, the MACOs pulled back in a clam and disciplined manner forming firing lines. The Jem' Hadar charged into volleys of rifle fire as the Imperial MACOs pulled back. "Seal them in" ordered Solat and the Jem' Hadar were contaned. "Vent them into space" ordered Solat and the compromised sections were vented. After 15 minutes Solat ordered "re-pressurize" and the sections were pressurized.
Not one member of the boarding parties were left alive. In space the Terran fleet engaged the warbirds, the Regent seeing the seriousness of the battle deployed her fleet to the fight and both groups cut into the warbirds from both wings sealing off the escape routes. The Attilla was was destroyed before it even got into range of the planet.
"Admiral, show them no mercy" ordered the regent and Valdez gave the kill order, "all ships, target their life support systems and fire." Vural had been beaten and now all his ships had one 5 minutes of air left. "Target their singularity cores" ordered the regent and all ships complied. Vural now watched as his group were cut to pieces. "Transport to the crew of the the last ship to a secure facility" ordered the regent.
"Done" acknowledged Valdez. Vural and his crew would be held as hostages to ensure the RSU withdrew from Imperial space. "Valdez to Kestrella, have my wife and children made it safely?" asked Valdez. "We're all here and unharmed" replied Teanna over the channel. Solat arrived on the bridge and reported "all raiders dead." "Good, that thing in holding, keep the phase variance on, keep it barely alive" ordered Valdez.

"Mother will not let this attack go unpunished" said Naynta, "agreed, this attack was a good thing in one way" replied Valdez. "How admiral?" asked Jodi, Valdez answered Jodi's question with "now we know who's been backing these rebels, Naynta start questioning the prisoners" ordered Valdez. "As you command" replied Naynta, "Jodi, work with General Wray's troops and set up checkpoints" was Valdez's next order. "Yes Admiral" replied Jodi and she put her MACOs under Iblim's command and ordered all cities on Betazed to set up military checkpoints.
"Solat, I need you to brief the Regent at the council of war about the Romulan Union" was Valdez's next order. "Consider it done Nathan" replied Solat. Kestrella Lot walked in with Teanna and Trianna, Marie was pushed in on her mobility chair. "Nathan, I've had Kestrella run blood tests on us to be sure" said Teanna as she hugged Valdez. "They were clean admiral" reported Kestrella, "Miss Lot, thank you for keeping my family company and protected" replied Valdez. "Not a problem admiral" responded Kestrella back.
"Dad, we need to put the whole system on lockdown" suggested Trianna. "You can put it forward to the regent yourself Trianna" replied Valdez. "Teanna, make sure our wounded are transferred to secure hospitals" ordered Valdez, "arrangements are already being made on that front" replied Teanna. "What can I do?" asked Marie, "download all their logs and write the intelligence report for the regent" replied Valdez.
"Obin, co-ordinate with the regent's security forces and secure the palace" was Valdez's next order. "As you command uncle" replied Obin and he got to work. "Nathan, we need to convince the regent to put the whole system under martial law" said Iblim, "I'll put it forward to the regent brother" replied Valdez. "Kestrella, I'm drafting you for an important job" said Valdez to Kestrella, "what do you need?" asked Kestrella. "You are to co-ordinate between the military and the regent" answered Valdez.
"Consider it done" replied Kestrella. "We meet with the regent in one hour, everyone knows their jobs so let's get to it people" ordered Valdez. "Girls, we intercepted a capture order from the enemy. You two were the targets" said Kestrella to the twins. "Have you told dad yet?" asked Trianna and Kestrella answered with "I've just given him the report." "They are still bitter over the fact I brought about the beloved Star Commander's downfall as well as dad's counterpart" said Marie. "Dad's got a plan" added Trianna.
"He secretly transferred you both to my mother's command here at the palace for your own safety. Trianna you will learn mental and emotional control from me as will you Marie. Marie, you will receive the best treatment from mother's physicians to aid in your recovery. Mother heard about what happened and is pleased you two are keeping calm about it" said Kestrella. "Keep a low profile, got it" replied Trianna and Marie agreed with her.
"Girls, you two are to be on your best behavior with the regent" said Valdez as he hugged his daughters. "Will be dad, we don't want to blow our chances with Captain Heath" replied Trianna. "Dad, when you start the hunt make sure they don't survive" said Marie. "Not one RSU ship will be in Imperial space after we've finished" answered Valdez.

Admiral Valdez was working out the strategy for the war against the rebellion. Kestrella Lot had a look at Valdez's strategy to make sure the Regent could understand it. "Kestrella, the Romulan Aristocracy has committed an entire fleet to the campaign. We will launch a great crusade against the rebellion seizing system after system all the way to the Klingon homeworld, I'm replicating a strategy from Terra's World War II. We will planet hop our way through Rebel space just as the allies island hopped their way to Japan in World War II. Any worlds that are too tough to storm will be bypassed and isolated by our forces, we avoid what is strong and attack where they are weak. We will starve each world into submission" said Valdez.
Kestrella replied "I'm not military, it looks complicated." Valdez smiled and answered "he who defends everything defends nothing." "An interesting way of looking at things" replied Kestrella, Valdez answered "It was quoted by Frederick the Great of Prussia in his wars in the 18th Century on Terra. He turned defense into offense to keep his enemies off balance." "I studied your file Admiral, military history a useful hobby" replied Kestrella.
"How are my girls?" asked Valdez. "They are an interesting pair" answered Kestrella, Valdez smiled and answered "that they are, just guide them in the the right direction." "I will admiral" replied Kestrella. "I'm trusting you to watch them while I'm away" answered Valdez and Kestrella replied "Don't worry they are in safe hands, mother will make sure they keep out of trouble. You have my word admiral."
Valdez smiled and said "I'll hold you to that." Valdez then got a call from Teanna, "we may have found a weakness in these Jem'Hadar" reported Teanna over the channel. "Could it help us?" asked Valdez. "They rely on a substance called ketracel white to keep them in check. We find and destroy their sources of ketracel white in Imperial space and they will turn on their masters" replied Teanna. "Good work Teanna, I'll need you working with the regent's scientists here" responded Valdez.
"Consider it done Nathan" answered Teanna over the channel. "I'll consult the Federation records on the Dominion, if they come through we will be ready for them" replied Valdez back. "I'll tell your daughters the good news" said Kestrella calmly. "Watch Trianna like a hawk. Keep them occupied by giving them tasks, they respond well to being given challenges" advised Valdez. "Noted admiral" replied Kestrella.
She then called the twins in and told them straight, "Any slip ups and I will dislocate your shoulder and leave it 24 hours. this will be but a mere fraction of the pain that you used to give out with such enjoyment. Fall back into your old ways and you will fully walk in your victims steps before I inform the captain of your failures." "Yes ma'am" chorused the twins, "good, at least you both know where we stand" replied Kestrella. "Best behavior, Kestrella will update me daily on your progress" ordered Valdez. "Yes dad" chorused the twins.
"I'll be keeping a close eye you Trianna" said Kestrella sternly, Trianna stayed quiet and did not protest. "I'll assign a servant to assist with Marie" said Kestrella to Valdez. "Ma'am, let me take care of my sister" asked Trianna. Kestrella answered "your sister, your responsibility" to Trianna and Trianna acknowledged Kestrella's order. "Good, looks like we are off to a good start. Let's not ruin it" replied Kestrella. Valdez then got a call from Tohel with some bad news, "admiral, our government has only given you 150 ships to work with your forces" she reported over the channel. "Change of plan, 400 ships is not enough for a system hopping campaign so we clear out the Betazed, Trill and Bajor sectors first of any rebel influence. The appearance of these Jem'Hadar has changed things" said Valdez calmly.
Kestrella sensed only calmness and clear judgement from Valdez and told the twins "that's an example of keeping a clear and level head, your father got the news he was not after and did not lose his temper." "Marie, we need to be more like dad" said Trianna and Marie agreed and added "not worth losing the chance to serve on the Enterprise." Kestrella ever the model of calmness set Trianna her first task, "Trianna, you are to assist mother on communications to the fleet" she told Trianna.
"Yes ma'am" answered Trianna. Kestrella turned her attention to Marie, "Marie, you are on computer network security" Kestrella told her. "Ma'am" answered Marie, Valdez left Kestrella to her duties.

"Brea is thriving, and the Tholians seem to have finally fallen back from Republic space. It was quite wonderful to see my people have a second world in this reality. Now if only this headache would end.... Urg I realize now, why my mother said she hated extended periods of cryostasis.
"As I understand the Molindran council has decided to apply for Federation membership.... Their close relationship and alliance with my people could make this an interesting processes for them. I doubt the Federation has changed its laws regarding clones and genetic engineering..... Molindrans don't use either however. Still my people were given one of the planets in their new home system before the Federation membership was considered thus I doubt we'll have any problems. Thankfully Bhrea seems to have become a melting pot of Union and Republic Romulan culture, while maintaining close ties with each. officially though it's a Star Union world. As a symbol of trust we elected not to repair the Iconian gateways here, and instead had a Molindran sub-space gate. I'm told several Ferengi have tried to buy and steal the technology while I've been sleeping."
"Now that we've set up a smaller orbital base, Star- fortress Vanguard was moved back to the Levtro system two hours ago. Hahaha, apparently some of the Starfleet ambassadorial staff had failed to notify several of their member. I've also learned that my resurrection AKA the Jordan project was kept secret from the Alliance, until now... I've spent more than a decade getting this new younger body into fighting condition. I haven't felt this good in years, and I've gotten clearance to see some old friends.... I hope the years have been good to them.
End log."

"It pleases me that both Romulan Republic and Union peoples are working together. From what Proconsul D'Tan has told me they are getting on very well. Though the use of cloning and genetic engineering is something I will need to discuss with their leadership. The Tholians have agreed to keep away from Brea, I had a good talk with their ambassador this morning on the issue and the Tholian Assembly have agreed.
On a personal note, Trianna is home on leave. Captain Heath has given the crew of the Los Lobos shore leave and Trianna decided to introduce her new friends to Paris and it's charms. Imagine my surprise to find the lounge with drunken Starfleet officers asleep on the furniture, I'll remind Trianna when she wakes up to ask me first next time when she brings friends round and to keep the volume down.

The twins were not allowed into the war council meeting, "this is not fair" said Trianna to which Marie added "keep your cool." Kestrella noted down Trianna's slight protest into the behavior log and noted to herself "no violent outburst." "Trianna, less protests" ordered Kestrella and Trianna apologized. "May I call you Obin?" Kestrella asked Lt Wray, "as you wish Miss Lot" replied Obin.
"Obin, work with mother's security" asked Kestrella and Obin acknowledged Kestrella and got to work. "Trianna, Marie come with me" ordered Kestrella. Both twins went with Kestrella to a quiet room in the palace, "young ladies, the key to controlling emotion is mental discipline. This exercise is designed to make you both face your weaknesses, Trianna you lose it when people insult you. What is the best way to deal with insults?" asked Kestrella, Trianna had to think carefully before she answered.
"Try and ignore it" she answered. "Try is not good enough, you have to be steadfast and ignore the insults without reacting" advised Kestrella. Kestrella then turned her attention to Marie, "Marie, every time people call you orphan you end up reacting violently. That behavior is unacceptable" she told Marie. Both twins listened to what Kestrella had to say and paid attention. "The key to anger management is to control those violent tendencies, what activities can help in control?" asked Kestrella.
The twins thought about it for a minutes or so before Trianna answered "do something peaceful." Kestrella noted down Trianna's answer and asked Marie "since you lost your left leg, you've been quiet and that concerns me. I'm sensing a lot of repressed anger, you cannot repress that forever because one day you'll just erupt. How can you vent that anger in a controlled way?" Marie had to think about this and answered "I have no idea."
Kestrella sensed honesty and suggested "you must face your demons, don't repress it but instead talk to someone about your problems." "That's a sign of weakness" replied Marie but she was countered by Kestrella who suggested "not true, it takes great strength to open up." "I will do" relied Marie, Kestrella noted it down. "Miss Lot, could you get me paints, brushes and some canvas?" asked Trianna. Kestrella asked "what for?" and Trianna answered "I put my feeling to canvas by painting."
Kestrella added that to her notes.

Commander Tohel looked through her reports, it had been quiet since the attack 18 hours earlier. "ETA on our reinforcements?" she asked Toven. "They will be here within the hour ma'am" reported Toven, he was about to suggest precautions but he was cut off by a "shut up Toven" by Centurion Rinna Khev. "Less of the sibling squabbling you two" ordered Tohel sternly.
The reinforcements arrived on schedule and Tohel informed Admiral Valdez over a secure channel. The additional reinforcements brought Valdez's fleet to 420 ships. "This is Vice Admiral Bawal, the Imperials are expecting us" he reported over a secure hail. "New orders from Admiral Valdez, join up with the combined fleet" replied Tohel back. "ARW Kara acknowledges Bawal out" was the reply.

Admiral Valdez was in a good mood, his study of the Federation logs had been fruitful. "We keep the virus plan purely theoretical" he thought to himself. To show his captains and troops what they could be up against, he played the footage of the USS Odyssey's destruction. "This is how far the Dominion are willing to go, our goal is to gather as much information as possible. The Jem'hadar are tough, aggressive and will fight with suicidal fanaticism to achieve their goals. During the federation's war with them, they were observed using Kamikaze runs to destroy an opponent. We have never faced anything like this before" he briefed his captains.
"Then we cannot give them a foothold in our space" replied Jodi, Valdez agreed and asked for suggestions. "A preemptive strike might work" suggested Naynta. "Too risky, in the other universe the Romulan Tal Shiar and Cardassian Obsidian Order tried that, they were wiped out in a Jem'hadar trap. The Dominion will see our attack coming and do the same to us" countered Valdez. "We could mine the wormhole entrance" suggested Captain Nelson, "Self replicating Thalaron mines" suggested Tohel.
"We could collapse the wormhole from our end" suggested Cerys. Valdez listened very carefully to the suggestions before making up his mind and decided that the mines would be plan A and collapsing the wormhole as plan B. "We need to clear two key sectors and bring them into line with Fleet Admiral Sito's sectors. Our objectives are the Mino Korvos sector and Arawath sector. We will bring any planets and systems who resist the empire into line by starvation and siege warfare" he told his commanders.
"As you command" said Naynta and the other captains agreed. "OK, Time to brief the Regent" ordered Valdez.
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. Shade brought her Platform class escort into the system under stealth ,momentarily disabling a section of the detection grid.
Her work with Nathan Valdez was to be known only to her crew, the admiral and the emperor. That was the reason the man found himself beamed out of his quarters, into the assassin's ready room. The tops and bottoms off the walls had a sliver of light going around the chamber, casting shadows on the dark metallic surfaces. Nathan smiled at the decapitated frozen Cardassian head , and plasma batleth above the black couch.
"You require my services Mr. Valdez?" Came a familiar voice behind him.
Roy sat at her desk, a 1/4 filled glass of Chatu Picard before her as she sat with a stoic expression. There were two bottles on the desk both of which, Valdez noted were wax sealed and full.
"The poison is in the bottle to my left." He said as he slowly sat down. "The wax is still warm."
"Clever, but wrong." Emma replied. "I've been instructed to follow your orders provided they don't conflict with.... others."
"The emperor is gracious."
Emma passed him a PADD. "This is for Solat and Marie, and only them, the results could be lethal for anyone else.... They're may choose to bring this to your attention if they wish, I want recommendations on how much leash to provide. I understand they met this Romulan in battle before."

Valdez recalled Marie and Solat from the surface. "Shade, I need your people to start removing the enemy leadership. Cut off the head the snake will die" said Valdez looking over the charts. Solat looked through the charts to determine the first target, Marie read the intel on enemy dispositions. "Dad, our best option would be to link up with Aristocracy forces and start in the Archanis system" suggested Marie.
"Take out the base there and we get a staging post to hit the Klingon home system" added Solat. "Tactics will be simple, we do not waste resources in frontal assaults. We will set up a blockade and starve them into surrender. Any ship attempting to run the blockade will be shot down without mercy, nothing gets in or out. Everyone clear on this?" asked Valdez. All agreed and the fleet hit transwarp for Archanis and linked up with the Aristocracy forces in the sector 18 hours later.
Arriving in orbit, the fleet took up blockade positions and opened fire on power generation and medical facilities. "They're trying to evacuate" reported Solat and Valdez gave the order to open fire on the fleeing ships. The Imperial forces held the line as the Romulans closed the trap and closed off any route from the planet. "The Klingon rebels were turned back towards the planet and their ships wiped out without mercy.
"Destroy their communications and space ports" ordered Valdez and the fleet responded. "Now we wait and let nature do it's work, close up our siege lines and fire on any movement on the surface" added Solat and the fleet acknowledged the order. "Shade, deny your enemy food and medical supplies and they will be unable to fight effectively" said Valdez and Shade began deploying drones to burn all farmland and vegetation supported by Imperial and Aristocracy fighters.
"What's the population size?" asked Shade and Marie reported "2 Million Ma'am." "Excellent, once starvation and disease set in they will be forced to surrender, I took the liberty of poisoning their atmosphere" replied Shade. "Good, keep ramping up the pressure on them" replied Valdez. "Admiral, if they surrender they will get the cure" answered Shade. "We can afford to wait, we have plenty of food and supplies, they will start running out having to feed those extra mouths" replied Valdez calmly.
"The RSU will be forced to respond to our siege, we draw them in and we destroy them" said Marie. "Expect Jem'hadar as well" added Valdez. "We will be prepared for them" replied Shade. "Our changeling prisoner will need to be moved to the empire's most secure location secretly" said Valdez and Shade agreed, she then asked "could I make use of Marie's talents?" Valdez turned to Marie and Marie told Shade, "You did not need to ask, I'll cause mayhem in their computer grid."

"Try and tell me who's incharge of the reble forces in this system..Knowledge is power, and I want to know who they are and what their men tisnk of them." Emma smirked. "Squeeze enough and they'll snap, one way or another."
"You want to place false information in their systems?" Marie questioned.
"Exactly, I like the way you think."
Emma looked at Marie's console for a moment, and did a double take. "Don't let me catch you poking around in my personal drones again!.... Is there anything you can't hack into?"
RDW Creed
Captain Eruen (A Vorta- Remen hybrid), of the Rathikus Temporal Raider Creed, mused to himself as he observed the timeline of the ‘old reality’. By the time he was born the Star Union had fully come to embrace their new universe, this battle was in way—like playing a deadly game of chess. Both sides (The Galactic Union and the Empire) aware direct conflict would either need to be so fast the enemy couldn’t react, or they’d need to outmaneuver each other.
Looking at 2410 and what the Empire was doing to the Klingon rebels at Ancuaris, he and the other two Captains in his force immediacy knew they had to prevent their forces in the era from going into the enemy’s hand. He also knew that his people who realize what was going on would want to do something, after the deep wound they’d suffered he didn’t blame them.
An hour later the three captains had a plan, they’d slip through the time stream to several various fleeing groups. Those that had currently not hit anything in Terran space would be used for this current operation.
He double checked on the other survivors. His warbirds had been using their temporal drives to keep their people ahead of Terran forces and out of notice. Most of the remaining fleets had split into groups of no more than ten ships and started heading towards the Delta and Gamma quadrants.
He was interrupted by his Andorian first officer, “They won’t like this plan, especially the ones who are getting out of the quadrant.. They’ll want to join this operation.”
“Remind them they will have a moment for retribution. Their orders are to get clear of the Empire… They are not to engage military vessels unless victory is assured, or they have no other option.”
He’d give his people a victory- and embarrass the Empire in the processes, but then most of those warbirds would join the others and fleet the quadrant… Enough would stay behind to give the appearance they’d stay in Terran space.
The plan was simple, 8 days into the Terran siege of Archanis, the 32nd century crews gathered a force of nearly 500 of their ancestors, a half-dozen freighters and a sizeable number of drone ships to masquerade as Terran and Aristocracy frigates.
Tricked into believe they were getting cargo, the crew of Starbase 39-Sierra didn’t even get the chance to scream. Less than ten minutes later the station was in pieces, and the attackers had vanished.

Sito and Heath looked over the information on the screen. "Well?" Sito asked. "Personally, I would have given the changeling back to them." "You still have a lot to learn about how we do things here." "I've fought with and against the Dominion. Trust me, you want them on your side." "They attacked us." "I'm not sure if it's the same way over here, but with our version of them, the changelings are their gods. There is nothing they wouldn't do for them. The one changeling who was overseeing DS9 during the Dominion war was overheard saying that they would sacrifice the entire quadrant just to save one of their own. Are you ready for that kind of war?" Sito was quiet thinking for a minute. "So what will happen?" "They will come and come hard... Stop smiling at me like that. I'm trying to be serious." "Just remembering things. Go on." "They will come in a wave that will tear through everything to recover the... You know there might be an upside to this." "How so?" "If they cause that much damage, Leeta might show up to preserve 'her empire' from destruction." "Good point. Contact Valdez, tell him your impression and let him know that if things get to heated his forces are to send the changeling to the capital for containment then fall back to protect Betazed." "Yes ma'am."
"He he, why do you think dad's computer grid is secure, best person to design that level of security is someone can break into it at a whim. I've got the name of the enemy commander. His name is Kurok, he's a former slave who joined the rebellion. No military experience but charismatic leadership, to his troops they are being dishonored by him not fighting back harder, for them they are being dishonored by his lack of decisive action. Force him to surrender and he will be disgraced. Ma'am I won't go anywhere near your equipment without permission" said Marie to Shade.
"Starbase 39 has gone dark" reported Marie, Valdez noted this development and told his command staff, Valdez calmly ordered "let the Sierra sector forces hold their sector, they are trying to draw us away. Shade, send a secure message to the governor of Sierra if he cannot hold his sector effectively, he is to be terminated and replaced." "Already sent, my people are going to have a word with him, I've authorized them to take whatever action they deem necessary" replied Shade.
"Good, it's a distraction we don't need" responded Valdez calmly. "We could contact the Triumvirate, I have a temporal communicator" answered Marie. "What makes you think this was a temporal incursion?" asked Solat. "Chronitons, my people keep me up to speed on everything that goes on" answered Shade. "Do it, next time they try to pull that stunt, we'll be waiting for them" ordered Valdez.
"Admiral, I agree. Our pickets have picked up a relief force on the way they will be here within the hour" replied Veel'Riz over the channel. "Thanks for the heads up Phoenix, get an accurate number of how many ships we are facing. Terran ships form the sphere, Romulan forces hide your ships in the debris field under cloak" ordered Valdez. "Prepare a polymorphic minefield" ordered Shade and the probes were deployed accordingly.
An hour later the rebel relief arrived, it consisted of 100 Vor'chas supported by 50 Raptors under escort by 200 bird of preys. Valdez ordered the fleet to charge deflectors and form the net. The rebel fleet fell right into the trap attacking Valdez's 200 Terran ships. "Pin them in place, Veel'Riz prepare your scourge wing to attack on my signal" ordered Valdez. The 4th Battle of Archanis was on and it would be brutal.
The defensive sphere held the rebels in place for an hour before Valdez gave the signal and the Romulans attacked into the rebel flanks. "All ships, target the enemy reactors and fire" ordered Valdez and the fleet responded. Jodi's 352nd Wing moved in behind the rebel fleet supported by the Romulans to cut off any retreat. "Finish them" was Valdez's next order and for the next 20 minutes the rebels were destroyed to the last ship. On the surface of Archanis, the situation had got worse with half the planet's population either dead or dying from the bombardments and diseased air.
Seeing no hope for the civilian population, the rebel forces surrendered on day 9 of the siege. "Administer the cure" ordered Shade and the atmosphere was cleansed of the poison. Now Valdez had to decide what to do with the population, "We could just wipe them out" suggested Shade but Valdez over ruled her and ordered "deport the entire population to the dilithium mines of the Tantalus system, they will repay their debt to the empire with a lifetime of back breaking labor."
"A creative solution and one of economic benefit to the empire" added Shade. "Prepare a base here, consolidate our forces here for the push to the Klingon homeworld" ordered Valdez. "Dad, we've got a call from the Enterprise" reported Marie and Valdez ordered "I'll take it in my ready room. Solat, Shade you are both with me and Marie, encrypt the channel to make sure no one is listening in." "Yes dad" replied Marie. In the ready room, Valdez answered the call on the screen on his desk, "Admiral, new orders from Fleet admiral Sito. Are you aware of the Dominion?" asked Heath over the channel. "I am, I studied the Federation logs of the Dominion war and I'm well aware of the threat they pose" answered Valdez.
"You have something valuable to them in your holding cells, you orders are to move the changeling to the capital if things get too heated, also in the event of an invasion you are to pull back to Betazed and defend it" replied Heath. "Understood, inform Sito that Archanis has been retaken and we are going to make our final push on the Klingon homeworld. This rebellion will end in utter defeat for the Klingon PetaQ" replied Valdez. "One more thing, if the Dominion come through there is a chance Leeta will be forced to respond" responded Heath. "Understood Layress" answered Valdez.
Heath then asked "how are the twins doing?" and Valdez answered "Trianna is with Kestrella Lot learning emotional control from her, Marie is with me assisting in my operations. So far both have been on their best behavior, Kestrella keeps me posted every day on their progress, Valdez out."

"Why does Marie get all the fun and I'm stuck here?" asked Trianna. "Because Trianna, Marie had something to add to the mission, you did not" answered Kestrella. "Dad has his reasons, I know better than to question dad's decisions" replied Trianna calmly. "I saw you painting, what was that you were painting?" asked Kestrella. "My anger and nasty streak, your sister's counterpart suggested it as therapy" answered Trianna. "It's good, you are at your calmest when you bring out the artistic side. You are a nice polite young lady when you are calm" replied Kestrella.
"I let my temper get the better of me, something I get from mom I think" responded Trianna honestly. "Maybe that's the problem, come and sit down" replied Kestrella. Both of them sat down and Trianna listened to what Kestrella had to say, she told Trianna "My sisters are not the most rational people at best of times, Jodi being slightly more rational than Naynta. I have to be the calm one, a gift I picked up off mother." Trianna let that sink in, "Miss Lot, dad is always calm. He came to Betazed age 12 and an orphan, the Wrays took him in as a son, they taught him mental and emotional control and how to handle the pain of losing his biological parents. I respect him for that" replied Trianna.
"Maybe you need to learn to control that temper, I heard about what happened to Naynta. Quite the mess you and Marie made of her arms" answered Kestrella. "Not our finest moment, dad was furious with us to the point Sito had to calm him down" replied Trianna. "You own your mistakes. I'm tough on you when I need to be, your father knew that when he entrusted me with your care" responded Kestrella. "Dad has bigger problems to worry about, me and Marie won't add to them" answered Trianna.
"I know, mother has had no complaints about you and Marie. I noticed you are very close to Marie, that's how family should be. They may drive you crazy at times but you deal with it in a calm manner, that's from experience" replied Kestrella, Trianna thought about what Kestrella said. "I will Miss Lot" Trianna answered. "Come on, I'll introduce you to a very creative activity. How's your cooking skills?" asked Kestrella, Trianna asked "with real ingredients?" Kestrella let off a smile and answered "of course, I know what you can do with a paintbrush but I'm interested to see what you could do in a professional kitchen. Think of it as a test of character." "Challenge accepted Miss Lot" replied Trianna and both left for the Palace kitchens.

The RDW Claymore and it's entire fleet, had slowed to warp 1, upon reaching the Dominion boarder. Every vessel had dropped its cloak, as the force continued it's course for the founders homeworld.
As multile Jem'hadar fighters closed in, one of the 4 Changlings hailed them, Immediately ending the threat.
In the mess hall of the dreadnought a female Vorta conversed with the captain.
"What happens if the Dominion refuse our plan?" The Romulan voiced his worries.
"The Founders are wise, and will know how it was your people who cured them of the Terran bio weapon in out time-line. All our experiences will be known in this one, our alliance and the friendships our people have formed." Liena raised her husband's chin, forcing him to see her hope filled eyes. "There is no reason for the Founders not to help themselves."
"Sometimes I think you like manipulate me... then I know I'm a fool."
The next week the Terran Starbase in the Gamma quadrant went dark. _________________ 2446 Delta quadrant (Mirror universe)
The Delta- Union fleet had joined together into three much larger groups upon leaving the empire behind them. Eagle squadron had located the Dyson sphere, having fought their way through Hirogen forces... tasked with defending get their gods as they claimed.
None of the RSU personel expected to find the sphere occupied by Molindrans.... in desperatation after destroying the link to the other sphere- the Terrans couldn't be allowed to use the gateway. They'd turned over their temporal data.
General Zepoli was mistrustful... yet couldn't deny the evidence. "You say this species tried to destroy my people. I have gone over your plan, and approve of it. You have permission to use our sphere as a staging area. Gather the rest of your allies."

Admiral Valdez presented his officers with the next objective, the Ajilon shipyards and anchorage. "Ladies and gentlemen, I present Operation Judgement. This will be a raid on on the rebel anchorage, objectives are to hit the shipyards with a carrier borne strike. Fighters and Bombers will launch from their carriers from a distance of 3 LY and proceed to the objective under cloak. Once there they will attack and destroy any rebel ships in port and run like hell. As the fighters draw the defenders away, a small force will create a coronal mass eruption in the system's star to wipe out the shipyards and withdraw" he told his officers.
"An unusual tactic" noted Shade and Valdez replied "the enemy will not expect it catching them off balance. We need to deal with this base in order to secure our flank." "Noted, we will still need to bring down the defense grid just before the raid goes in" responded Shade. "That's where you and Marie come in, a covert recon team will get as much information as possible on the amount of ships and their defenses" replied Valdez. "My ship has stealth capability, my team can get the intel you need for the raid" answered Shade.
"Agreed, I'll need their computer codes as well. Marie will know what to do with them" replied Valdez. Marie listened carefully and added "bringing down their defenses remotely and feeding the enemy false intel will cause maximum confusion among their command and control." "A highly illogical strategy" noted Solat to which Valdez answered "to defeat the conventional you must use the unconventional." "Indeed, do the unexpected to get an advantage over your enemy" added Shade. Veel'Riz suggested a diversionary attack on rebel convoys to cause confusion and both Valdez and Shade agreed.
"OK, everyone clear on this?, what is said in this room stays in this room" asked Valdez and his officers replied "understood." Valdez now brought up the next point on the agenda, "Shade, Marie I need you to start questioning the captured rebel leaders, use the mind probes if you have to but I want that information and the prisoners physically unharmed. They will stand trial, the verdict has already been decided and they are guilty of rebellion and sedition" said Valdez. "A show trial, I like it" said Marie.
"It's an illusion of due process" replied Valdez, "It will make their disgrace the more public at the same time" added Shade. "What's the Regent's view Solat?" asked Valdez and Solat advised "A show trial will show the peoples of the empire that sedition and rebellion will not be tolerated." "Agreed old friend" replied Valdez, Shade pointed out "the emperor has been updated on our progress, his excellency is pleased with the progress of the war. The Imperial Senate is also considering bringing in a martial law decree empire wide giving governors wider reaching powers to to arrest and detain anyone suspected of opposing the empire."
"With the threat of the Dominion and this rebellion, we may need martial law. Vigilance is the price of freedom" replied Marie. " The worst enemies are those we make ourselves" added Valdez and Shade agreed and advised Valdez "traitors cannot hide, your other imperial counterpart learnt that the hard way Admiral." "He was weak" replied Valdez calmly. "At least he took the honorable way out" responded Shade. "The less said about him, the better" added Valdez.

The Enterprise has begun a search of what is labeled as the Iconian System in the parallel universe. While it has been confirmed Admiral Leeta wiped out the Iconians before they ever became a threat, rumors have been brought to my attention that their technology remains in existence.
As our Federation crew have more experience in dealing with the Iconians than we do, I've tasked Captain Heath with heading up the investigation into the possible survival of Iconian equipment. If these Dyson Spheres exist in the parallel dimension, it's possible they exist over here too, though their whereabouts if true, remain unknown. If they act the same as their counterparts, It could be a means to increase fleet production immensely.
The Ask'kaar prisoners continue to be annoying, arrogant and aggressive to us. As much as I enjoy a good interrogation session, they're becoming a serious drain on our resources. My science officers believe they have a solution to this problem; I'll believe that when I see it.
The remainder of the Los Lobos crew have now 'officially' joined with my team, bringing the total number to 2,253, I'm not sure how they all feel as being labeled as traitors of the Federation, but time will tell, I may even give them the opportunity to seek revenge on those who sent them to their 'deaths.'
Admiral Valdez called Marie in and asked her to to sit down, "Dad, what do you need me for?" asked Marie. "Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, after careful consideration I've decided to send you back to Betazed. I'm putting you on sick leave" Valdez calmly replied. "For what reason?" asked Marie and Valdez told Marie honestly, "you are better off at the veteran's hospital on Betazed for treatment, your mother made an official request to the regent." "But I'm vital to your mission, you need me" replied Marie.
"I know that but you've got to think will my injury put myself and my fellow crew mates at risk?" asked Valdez. "You win dad" answered Marie, Valdez then gave Marie a stern warning, "one more thing, don't question orders again. You are lucky it's me but any other captain would shoot you on sight for questioning orders." "Noted" answered Marie, "Marie, tell Trianna the same thing about not questioning orders" replied Valdez.
The Regent had also taken the 352nd away to defend Betazed, Marie traveled on the Cutlass reaching Betazed safely 36 hours later. On Betazed, Teanna was waiting at the space port and Marie's shuttle landed. "Mom, I was having fun" complained Marie to which Teanna just tapped her head and Marie yelled "OW!!" "When your father tells you that you are on sick leave, he means it and that was for complaining" said Teanna sternly.
"I do apologize Jodi" she said afterwards. "Nothing to worry about Mrs Valdez, interesting technique by the way" answered Jodi.

“I hate walking on dead worlds. I can never shake the feeling that the dust under my boots are the decayed remains of the population and that I’m walking on their bodies. … (shudder) Shake it off Layress, you’ve got work to do.
This is yet another reminder of how different things are over here. Iconia. Over there it’s a ‘leave us alone and we won’t exterminate you’ area. Here, we’re walking on its surface, what there is of it. They were quite thorough in their annihilation of the populace.
However, if you know where to look things can be found. And having been here before, I know we can find enough pieces to rebuild one of their gateways…
But is it wise to do this?
I know that they’re gone. And that if we do switch it on, I know that a horde of Heralds won’t come storming out of there trying to kill us. But those memories still linger…
Still, I will have half a dozen or so heavy phaser emplacements set up around it, just in case.
Besides, I hear Andromeda is lovely this time of year.
Operation Judgement was a go. Shade's recon teams had done their work beautifully and got Valdez the intel he needed. "We found a gap in their defenses. The defenses are designed to deal with capital ships no a fighter attack" reported Shade to Valdez. "Valdez to carrier groups, launch the strike" ordered Valdez. The fighters and bombers launched in waves and engaged their cloaks and set course to their targets.
"ETA to target" asked Valdez and Solat reported "30 Terran standard minutes." Half hour later the first wave struck at the defense grid shutting down the defenses remotely. The bombers then entered and attacked the ships in port before running like hell and recloaking. The fighters and bombers drew the defenders away as a mixed group of 12 Terran and Aristocracy darted towards the star and made their attack.
Valdez and Shade watching the attack in Astrometrics smiled, they had caught the defenders off guard. "Solat to Valdez, fighters and bombers heading back to the carriers, 5 fighters lost and 8 bombers lost" reported Solat. "Acceptable losses" replied Valdez back and he gave the order to the star attack force to hit their graviton beams. On the second pass, they created the coronal mass eruption and then ran like hell to get away from the shockwave.
The eruption destroyed the shipyards and station in a matter of minutes as the raiders narrowly escaped the blast. The raiders were back within the hour, from start to finish the whole attack had only taken 25 minutes. "Nicely done" said Shade and Valdez smiled, "do the unexpected to keep your enemy guessing what is real and what is fiction" he replied. "This is proving to be a fruitful partnership admiral" said Shade, "I'll extend my thanks to the emperor" replied Valdez. Shade smiled and said "I've deployed a recon group to scout ahead of the fleet. Qo'nos is open to attack but we will be facing heavy resistance if we go in blind."
"Shade, that's why we need information, tell your teams to avoid engaging the enemy. At this stage it's information only" replied Valdez. "These are a list of targets I need to attack covertly admiral" added Shade. Valdez looked through the list and picked out three targets for special ops. Granalda was the priority for the raid. "This station needs neutralizing one way or another, pick your best storm troops and be creative" ordered Valdez. Shade smiled and asked "could I borrow some Betazoid squads to work with my storm troops?, I'll lead the raid personally." "You've got them, pick which squads you want to use. Use them wisely, they are precision strike specialists." answered Valdez.

Voth vessels had arrived at the rendezvous point, the Romulans had been waiting for days while the waited for the reptilian race to argue amoung themselves.
"Mammal, you claim to have further evidence that what you have already provided abou that elocation of our home world?"
"We do, I'm glad to see that taste got your attention.... I believe we can help each other."
The Voth sneered. "Tmmporally shielded data cores are not easily disputed.... Wether or not the archeological data presented was falsified- the Voth will not risk these, Terrans eradicating us. If this Terra PRime is our world of Origin, you will gain an ally for all time."
"You seem rather eager to join us, why?"
"You have confirmed logs from a pervious encounter with an imperial warship. "

"The fleet should be more that able-" The admiral began.
"It's not that."
"Romulus and Remus have had twins appear. And no theyre not the only planets where this is happening! Star bases and fleets are showing up and disappearing in bursts of Chronitons. It's not localized to Romulan space either! The majority of it is- but there's also been instances of the "yellow imperial" ships appearing in combat with the others.
Attempts to interact with the objects have been fruitless- it's possible that they may not know it's even happening."
Valde taped the PADD. " Says here weapons went right through them like holograms.... Appearances have lasted a few seconds to a half hour.... Theories?"
Shade was silent for a moment. "How dangerous or probable would timeliness merging be?"

"It's an unknown, that makes it dangerous. We need to contact the Triumvirate, they have to prepare for this Temporal war going hot" noted Valdez after reading the PADD. "Read this, it's a report from the other universe's Jonathan Archer. In 2155 in the other reality, the Romulans used two drones which could mimic any ship. It nearly caused a war" he said to Shade, she read the report and asked "could these be drones mimicking our ships?" "Very creative and effective, it's a good bet" answered Valdez. "This could put our advance on hold" replied Shade. "It won't, we wipe out the Klingon rebels and the enemy loses a piece in the temporal chess game" answered Valdez.
"What is the strength of the Klingon garrison at Qo'nos?" asked Valdez. "500 ships, here in their order of battle" replied Shade and Valdez calmly noted down the defenses and fleet. The Klingon fleet defending Q'onos was 80 Negh'Vars supported by 120 Vor'chas and 300 Raptors and Bird of Preys. "You look concerned" said Shade, Valdez answered "how many ships do we have?" Shade looked through the Imperial order of battle before answering "600 Imperial and Aristocracy ships." "We outnumber them by only 100, it's an even fight more or less" replied Valdez.
"Then it's down to who's the best tactician, I did some homework on their commander. It's General B'Vat, veteran military commander from the days of the alliance, it was his cell led by your counterpart who destroyed virtually an entire Imperial battle group sent to put the rebellion down. Do not underestimate him" briefed Shade. "Get me everything you've got on General B'Vat, I need his personality records, his battles and his tactics and strategy. He's digging in at Q'onos, he's cornered himself" said Valdez and Shade got the files Valdez needed.

I love it when a race always follows the same design plan, it makes it much easier to find things. The Iconians always use a planets geothermal energy to power their gateways. So all we had to do was scan for pockets where the magma closer to surface than it should be given the area. Most of these areas are now cooled lava beds because of the bombardment. However, we found two areas still intact and after a week of excavation we have found what we needed. One had an intact power system while the other had the pylons. Teams are now in the process of disassembling and transporting the intact gateway pylons to our base location. Within a month, we should have this place operational... And I'm still uneasy about it. We buried the remains of those we found in the tunnels leading here. They tried to get away but were crushed when the tunnels colasped. Still... It feels like something is waiting for us to make a mistake and then pounce.

-Lord Commander Solar Macharius

-Lord Commander Solar Macharius

-Lord Commander Solar Macharius

Star Commanders personal log - Veel'Riz
End log."

Councilor's log - Nathan Valdez

Regent's Palace, Betazed (MU)

ISS Enteritis'is
Shade brought her Platform class escort into the system under stealth ,momentarily disabling a section of the detection grid.

Aristocray forces under the command of the ARW Pheonix have been ordered to join the conflict against the Klingons.
The Foundry, and my love of Star Trek
-Lord Commander Solar Macharius
"You want to place false information in their systems?" Marie questioned.
"Exactly, I like the way you think."
Emma looked at Marie's console for a moment, and did a double take. "Don't let me catch you poking around in my personal drones again!.... Is there anything you can't hack into?"

"Personally, I would have given the changeling back to them."
"You still have a lot to learn about how we do things here."
"I've fought with and against the Dominion. Trust me, you want them on your side."
"They attacked us."
"I'm not sure if it's the same way over here, but with our version of them, the changelings are their gods. There is nothing they wouldn't do for them. The one changeling who was overseeing DS9 during the Dominion war was overheard saying that they would sacrifice the entire quadrant just to save one of their own. Are you ready for that kind of war?"
Sito was quiet thinking for a minute.
"So what will happen?"
"They will come and come hard... Stop smiling at me like that. I'm trying to be serious."
"Just remembering things. Go on."
"They will come in a wave that will tear through everything to recover the... You know there might be an upside to this."
"How so?"
"If they cause that much damage, Leeta might show up to preserve 'her empire' from destruction."
"Good point. Contact Valdez, tell him your impression and let him know that if things get to heated his forces are to send the changeling to the capital for containment then fall back to protect Betazed."
"Yes ma'am."
-Lord Commander Solar Macharius

None of the RSU personel expected to find the sphere occupied by Molindrans.... in desperatation after destroying the link to the other sphere- the Terrans couldn't be allowed to use the gateway. They'd turned over their temporal data.

"Personal Log: 2411.23.90/A1
The Enterprise has begun a search of what is labeled as the Iconian System in the parallel universe.

Captain’s Personal Log: 2411.23.90/A5
“I hate walking on dead worlds.
End log.”

____________
Chevalier Zalorak, took another scan of the blasted landscape. The Reman was a veteran, but his passion still remained in the sciences... He could almost reach out tear away the passage of time to see the history hidden here.
"The highest concentration of Chronitons are 600 meters south of our position." He said to his team as he took the lead.
Reaching the location, the squad turned on their temporal shields, forcing their way into the temporal breach.
"Hello Noye... I have a proposal for the Krenim."
____________
On the RDW Creed, Captain Eruen checked the status of the operation and smiled. "Nearly there.... Now comes the difficulty of recruiting an enemy."
______________
Emma walked into Valdez's ready room, placing a PADD on the desk. "If you haven't seen this report from Romulan space. I'm no expert on temporal mechanics, but a child could see something is wrong!"
The Foundry, and my love of Star Trek

(several hundred meters below ground)
"Captain's personal log supplemental;
I hate walking on dead worlds.
