Slight caveat: I would suspect the Romulan tactical variant will retain the T5 version's five tac consoles, and perhaps com tac. Otherwise, yeah, that seems likely enough.
If the T6 Scimitar doesn't have a Commander Tactical seat or the 5 tactical consoles, I'll be sticking with my T-5U.
Beyond that, even as someone who actually likes the darker, more angular look of the original Reman-inspired Scimitar, I'm glad that the T6s have a more traditionally Romulan look to them. I know it bugged some people that the Romulan flagship didn't exactly look the part. As for me, again, I'll probably be sticking to the original look, or at most, kitbashing some stuff while keeping the Reman texture.
"There will never be enough blood to wash away my need for vengeance! A single world...I could destroy a million worlds and it would not be enough! Your existence is an insult to the memory of my people! I will continue my fight, even if I must fight alone!"
Yes. I don't even own the previous 9-ship bundle and I'm still astonished they thought this was a great idea. It's offensive, really, and I'd be pretty upset if I had those ships and was being encouraged to pay all over again for T6 variants of all nine ships.
That said, I'm not really mad but I am inclined to opt-out and let my closed wallet tell them what I think about it.
I'm not because this is a retail product and they need to earn a living as well
I prefer the sets with the massive discount, and if the console sets are in line with recent ships (ie usable at the same time instead of shared CD's with the original Oddy's) then it will be an interesting purchase.
Earn a living yes, but repackaging these ships as T6 is stupid. Come out with another class of ship. This is absurd. Wasted money on the previous ships. Make the Tu5 versions which people already own a free upgrade to T6 or something
New stats, new models. What would a new class of ships have?
Right. New stats. new Models.
Except, they aren't really new ship designs, are they? They're somewhat different, I'll grant you, but they're not new or unique except for the skins. Everything else is just a triple-paste and a few tweaks.
Particularly Starfleet ships follow a basic design pattern. Nacelles, Star Drive, Saucer. The times Cryptic greatly diverges from that pattern (see Intel ships or the Deep Space Science Vessel), a lot of people express their hatred of the design, they want "traditional".
These are traditionally designed ships, but still with plenty of variations - there is a difference between a chevron saucer and a saucer saucer, for example. It just happens to be that you can also exchange components with a lower tier ship. Which to me sounds like extra modelling work, at the benefit of also giving people more customization options.

ok i dont know if anyone has asked this or if this is even the right place to ask but i need to know will the romulans ever get a true unique sole faction only true science vessel's as it is 1) i am very happy for the T6 versions of the Classics & 2) i have said this to my fleetmates since the Rommie faction appeared that i was sad that they no true science ships i mean even the KDF have a true Science ship in the Phalanax Science Ship so come on a race that uses singularities need true Sci Ships
You can kitbash you know. You're not locked into one model this time.
Are you sure? Usually you have to buy the ship in order to get access to its visual.
You still have to own them all. What they're saying is that unlike the T5 Oddysey/Bortas, these don't all use the exact same ship model, so they will be customizable, like the other 3pk ships.
The big question will be whether the 'old' models will become piecemeal for customizing, or if it will be a 'all or nothing' deal when it comes to the old skin.
Real Temporal Operative: Purchased the Special Temporal Agent pack before it was even officially announced!

So you are locked into one model then, unless you want to spend more money. That's what I don't like. I don't mind buying a new class of ship if I want a new ship, but they want me to spend 30 to 60 more dollars just so I can change the look if the one ship? Sorry, not gonna happen.
Not seeing any answers so here's hoping Trendy is hunting down some at the moment. But here are mine for the pile.
Can we make them look like the T5 version?
Will they still use the T5 unique bridge?
Can I still use my T5 consoles? (I like my saucer separation.)
And how soon is soon?
Every time I hear Coming Soon. I think of the Space Balls line.
"What am I looking at?"
"You are seeing now, sir."
"When will then be now?"
"Soon."

Not always.
I can make my T6 Arbiter look like an Avenger even though I don't own the Avenger.
You can also use T5 Galaxy and Monarch Skins on the Andromeda even if you don't own those ships.
The Resolute can use Excelsior skins even if those ships are not owned.
Recently, they have started the welcomed practice of including T5 Skins with the T6 Variants even if you don't own the previous ships.
My guess is, though I am not sure it actually works like that 100 % of the time:
- If the most basic version of the ship had its available, then the Tier 6 Retrofit can also use that skin.
- If the skin was an extra purchase on top of the basic ship (Refit, Fleet Retrofit or Tier 5 Retrofit for example), then it still requires purchasing that to access it.
That is true, so maybe they WILL allow it this time. However, they didn't do it for the CBCs, so who can tell until Thursday?
If nothing else, Buying the multi-packs is nice to get the extra admiralty ships too.
I think seaofsorrows is referring to the Tier 5 versions of the skins.
I don't think you will have access to the Yorktown parts without alaso having bought the Yorktown.
I suppose the Scimitar is interesting here, since it's the only ship in the pack that even had more than one Tier 5 skin.

Thats what C-store unlocks do, you buy it once and can forever claim in on any captain of the right faction thereafter.
What? Wait... I... ((logs in to perform some experiments)).
Well nifty! I had some confusion with that after checking to see if I could pull out a second Eclipse for my Fed-aligned Romulan. Most of my pride-and-joy ships are from lock boxes/lobi. I guess only one captain will have the Tarantula skill and another the Paradox skill. Unless there's some sort of reclaim option for those I'm overlooking ...?
Thank you for clearing that up. I guess I need to start setting aside the pennies (and 20$ bills) for the 9 piece pack.
Interestingly it does not say if the consoles are part of a set and if you get an improved version of QSD. Also no mention of a fleet versions, if you can switch ship parts with the previous versions and if you can add the previous ship set consoles to the T6 ships. Hopefully there will be more information in the follow-up blog.

My bet is no fleet versions as there are no fleet versions of the T5U versions and no fleet versions of the CBCs either.

This Console Mod can be on any Odyssey, Scimitar or Bortasqu' variant. You may only equip a single one of these consoles.
Will they be 10 or 11 console ships? This game badly needs some TOS ships at the top end.

Looking for a new fleet? Drop by the in-game chat channel, "tenforwardforum", and say hi to the members of A Fleet Called Ten Forward (Fed) and The Orion Pirates (KDF). If you already have a fleet you are happy with, please feel free to drop by our chat channel if you are looking for a friendly bunch of helpful people to socialize with.
Yep, you can reclaim ships again and again from the C-Store, and Romulan's can claim ally ships only up to T4, T5 and above they can only claim their own Romulan ships.
Trendy, or a Dev, will the new ships, like the new T6 Odyssey be able to use the saucer separation console from the T5 version? or T5 consoles from the other T5 ships of their own faction? Seems like most would work I think, does the new Odyssey class support saucer separation if the person has the console for it? Or will that be revealed in the next blog about their stats? Thank you to you and all the Dev's for all of your hard work on STO.

My guess would be 11. The T5s were already "fleet level" when they were released, same as with the zen-DSDs, vesta line, CBCs and pilot escorts. So chances are those will also be T6 fleet stat wise from the get-go.
So I bought a set cuz they were flagships.. then they weren't cuz you guys changed the level cap and now I get to buy them again because they are flagships? Anybody else have a problem with this?

Of course a lot have a problem with that, but it don't mean squat to PWE.

There hasn't been for the last 18 T5 ships that made the transition to T6 over the last 2 years, it won't happen now.

In the Scimitar's case, I hope to god NOT. I'd like more than a room and a set of steps in a premium C-store purchase, thanks Cryptic

All I'm looking for is a Kobali Cruiser with fed skin, or a Geneva without the hangar bay, and normal cruiser commands.
If I retains the SA from the T5 sci odyssey all the better. Anything above and beyond that is just icing on the cake.
Now just waiting for a T6 Nebula and a T6 Vor'cha or Kamarag and I'm good for ships.
My bet is no fleet versions as there are no fleet versions of the T5U versions and no fleet versions of the CBCs either.

Doesn't look like it will be a set between T6's.

My bet is today we get a blog about the art behind the new designs and Wednesday we'll see the stats with release on Thursday.
That's my guess. Curious to see if I'm right.

You probably are. It's usually how things are timed with ship releases.
