I do think it's a little top heavy and I wish the pylons and nacelles were closer in to the main body, but I want a massive flight deck on a carrier. It also has the best hanger bay placement of any of the designs.

#teamgamma because there are enough ships out there with the round circular saucers and also i wanna see more varaities of ship design rather than the good auld vision of a UFO with engines

I like the overall side profile of Delta and the engine placement is better. Gamma I believe has the better top down look but I've always preferred the rounded saucers over the flat angles of Gamma.

#TeamDelta I am not a fan of the nacelles but it's better than gamma. I liked Beta. :(

Delta by far. The first ship with a round saucer I've seen in a long time, and the Nebula-style mission pod looks great as well. I hope it wins the whole contest. :)

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

Gamma this time, because Delta is weirdly bulbous, but this tournament is imho just a formality - Omega is going to win, because of #teamjupiter

Which ones? Honestly, we haven't had a round saucer in ages. Everything looks the same.

    Voted delta.

No disrespect to the designers who do a great job with the game, but can you please tell me what was the thought process behind the different sized nacelles on the same ship?

Though it could lose the bump at the front of the saucer.

Sure, it isn't perfect. I am personally against the whole carrier thing. But if any, Delta is our only choice for round things. And round things are good.

Yes, round things are good. :D While carriers are not canon in Trek, I feel a Starfleet designed full carrier for STO is overdue. I prefer dual nacelles and round things, so since it looks like I'm not getting those together I'll have to settle.

Delta is so original Trek with its big round saucer, I had to pick that one.

Going Gamma because wow that is a fat saucer on Delta in the side view, looks ungainly.

"We need big carriers who can carry frigates!" - "Meh, Delta's saucer is too big"

    Seriously...

I dunno, alpha or beta never quite gave that feel, maybe because of how the secondary pods are arranged.

Keep in mind this is all in good fun and about a videogame. But in that context I really don't get people. Delta is actually the biggest design of those, volume wide (because of the saucer). Yet it will probably receive the least votes and go down the hardest because exactly for those reasons. I am aware that Omega is the Jupiter reborn and Cryptic could have really saved the contest and just use that design, but the reasoning behind disliking Delta (and yes, the nacelles are questionable) often are the reasons people advocate a carrier would need. It's weird.

Voting was a hard Choice...cause...it wasnt about which one looks better..it was about which one makes my eyes hurt less......like all other Designs, those 2 are also just Fugly, so out of those 2 Fuglys i choose Gamma. Sorry Round thing lovers but Delta just reminds me too much of

THIS (but without the Engineering Section, and dont get me wrong i LOVE the Original Constitution Design)
    302696_1307232.jpg

other than that, i too believe that Omega will be the overall Winner anyway and thats why my Support is for Omega, i just hope that after the Final Schematic has been choosen, that they will add enough Details and later also enough Customizations that we can make it look as less ugly as possible, and of course i hope they DONT ruin the Layout, we dont need another Science heavy Carrier like the Atrox with 0 Firepower, it also should NOT be a too Engi heavy carrier (Garbage Layout like the Galaxy X for example) at least a LtComTac (or Universal) and 3-4 Tac Consoles, if not than no thx.

I like Delta, I can see where the craft bays would be set in. Regarding: Gamma; what's with the differing sizes for the warp nacceles?! We seen it in Alpha vs Beta!

Hey, here's a crazy idea. Just let us have the runners-up as customization options.

This one was harder than the last vote. I like aspects of both and a combination of the two would be better than the two individually.

I like that the warp engine arrangement on the Delta is more spread out, rather than concentrated near the hull in the rear of the ship that Gamma has. Thin and spread out Gamma 'saucer' vs the round and thick in the middle Delta saucer.

Interesting that Delta's saucer is intergrated into the hull (the thick 'spar' in the middle).

Heck, I don't remember which one I voted for, but well, like I said there's no clear favourite for me.

    Edit: Oh, it's whatever's red.

Edit part II: Hmm, it had the red block before I edited this post in the first place. Very strange.
