Ok that makes more sense now. You can buy and trade the ships like Doff crew. So they can go out and do missions just like your doff. I doubt I will use the feature since I hadn't used my Doff in a while. After the Great Doff Nerf. I used to get nice exp to help me level. But they fixed that right up so now I rarely do it.

Unless it gives you a nice reward to make it worthwhile. But since you more likely have to be Lv60. This won't help my alts at all to catch up.

yeah, but does this mean we will soon be getting hero ships as part of this? If that happens what are the odds of photonic versions of hero crew members as doffs?

Most of the non-klingon KDF lineup is obviously due it being less work to refurbish NPC models to fill out the KDF lineup than it is to make entirely new ships.
so where are my gorn vishap, draugas, etc for my Gorn character to fly?

I'm hoping that if/when they do add Ferasan ships they'll resemble Kilrathi designs. :D

Good job on this thread OP. Considering you don’t get paid for this a sincere thank you from me.
On one hand I do understand the want to pursue the latest facts you can muster up, but we'll be putting out all official information on arcgames. :)

    Just food for thought.

Is that a statement out of you’re “perfect world”? Just asking because in reality most peeps I know don’t log into STO to play Reddit-, Twitter- or Facbook-Online. Your information policy the past year speaks for itself and makes threads like this one very much appreciated if you don’t mind.

Perhaps some food for thought as well.

    Hmm.....

A thought: since season 11 is coming in October, that means no expansion this year. We had Delta Rising in November last year, and October is far too late in the year for them to release an expansion before the year ends. It also probably means that we won't get season 11.5 until sometime early next year (if they stick to the way they've been doing things), and if we get another expansion it will be some months after that, possibly close to or during the summer.

It's possible we would get season 12 before another expansion, which would mean we might not get another expansion until about a year from now. :'(

It all depends on what they have planned. So we just gotta wait and see.

It's a good thing I bought all the Klingon Pilot Raptors. That gives me a grand total of five ships with three shuttlecraft.

Agreed...devs posting everything to twittard, spybook and Loseit annoys the heck out of me - their job is to post here, not every frickin' place besides the OFFICIAL forum and force me to go trawling through the scummiest sites on the internet for info that should be located here

Is the villian a single person or do they represent a race ??

Which Star Trek Series did they appear ??

I hope it is the Dark Voyager and her crew from Star Trek Voyager'S Living Witness show.

Kate Melgrew played a very scarry Captain Janeway in that show. I think she would make an excellent villian.

And about the twitter and facebook posting and the like. Think of it like a treasure hunt for information.

Those that want this additional content. Will find it for the rest of us to see here in the fourms.

How many here read the release notes word for word when they are posted.

I don't unless I'm look to see what may have screwed up STO so I have problems longin or playing tribble and the like.

That story never happened. The holo simulation of Dark Voyager was the result of centuries of propaganda corrupting the actual reports of the events.

it was a cautionary tale about how victors write history books and agendas keep rewriting those.

Had nothing to do with the mirror universe.

A couple of new quotes from Geko on the Admiralty system:

However, that second statement contradicts what he said at Vegas, because he said players would be able to get "The Enterprise", comparing it to a "gold foil playing card". And we obviously can't fly around in the actual Enterprise.

In one hand i'm happy to see that my favourite character in the Federation will received some love, but in the other i'm unhappy to see that my favourite character in the KDF who is a Ferasan will received nothing at all, again.

Seriously the Caitians have already a vessel and nothing for the Ferasan. How i am supposed to do some role play if i don't have something to play with?
I planned to buy the Atrox but regarding this new information i will put on hold this project to wait if the devs will come out with a better vessel.

I'm thinking since it's called FELINE Supplement-#72. and Ferasan's are FELINES...,
It will probably work for them also.
The software Cryptic set up for the Catians is exactly the same for the Ferasans.
(just the artwork look is different)
So logically any additions to that software, is going to effect both races.

Or we're misreading it. I mean, we have...

Connie (ToS), Connie Refit (handles the plain and the -A), Excelsior (-B), Ambassador (-C), Galaxy (-D), Galaxy-X (-D, alternate), Soverign (-E), and Oddy (-F). So it's not like we can't / aren't / haven't been flying around in hulls that look like the Enterprise, we're just not allowed to use that name on our ship...

Now, I'm "fairly certain" that I can "load up" the T1 Connie, the T3 Ambassador from the Temporal mission, my C-store T4 & T5 Galaxies, my T5 Gal-X - and have most of the "Enterprise hulls", I just lack the Excelsior, Oddessy, and Connie-Refit on many toons because I go science with my science officers / escort for tacs as I level...

Now, probably related to the monetization aspect, there's going to be "chase" cards, and one series of them might be cards named "Enterprise", "Excelsior", "Defiant", "Voyager", "Intrepid", etc. etc. - and that could be what Geko references...

Who knows? We'll find out more...

(On every other site/system than here. Gotta keep the "exclusives" flowing, right? I hear that all official information about Season 11 will be posted on ARC games. Where's the blog clearing up the tweets that are being made - as that's now "public" information that's not on the official site. Skeptical me remains skeptical about previously posted commentary in this thread...)
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

What if you're not flying it but you do own it? I mean, there is limited space for your Starship inventory so sometimes you have to dismiss ships to make room for ships you want to use. You still own those ships and can reclaim them anytime in the C-Store but they're not in your inventory right this second. Do you not get Starship cards for those ships because they're not in your current inventory? Or does it count all ships you own and can reclaim in the C-Store?

Of course, it could be that when you purchase a Starship from the C-Store it will give you the ship and a Starship card. So if you own a ship you can reclaim it to get the card then dismiss it again if you don't want to use that ship.

Do you not see the difference though? the OP can dissimulate the info as it comes whenever whereas you need to wait for an "all-clear".... it might undermine your job but it's much more preferable if people are going to come to the forums at all for information. On that note, thanks OP!

First, your welcome. Second, there is no need for people to keep making this kind of reply to Trendy. Of course she understands we can sometimes collect info from all of these different sources sooner than it is officially announced. Her point, I believe, is simply that until something is officially published in a blog, it is subject to change, or even misunderstanding.

You're probably right but then again, if that were the case, it would just make more sense to just say "subject to change" than to haphazardly dissuade people. Nonetheless, I will come here for info. when the "official" blogs come out (which, ironically, normally say "subject to change" anyways) I will check those for confirmation. However, depending on time zones, you might beat me to it and update the info accordingly. :D
