Your new toons are fine, they'll have access if another character on the account has already earned one. Unless it's a new account. Then they're SOL.

They sound like an Off Duty unlock, which would be cool. Since they also mentioned swimwear in the same sentence, they could also be locked into Risa, which diminishes their value significantly from my perspective. Sure, I generally spend a decent chunk of time on Risa... but not enough to worry too much about a map-specific unlock.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
And once you've earned the Ferengi Nandi Warship, the Risians will give you a significant discount if you want another one!

Well, I was wrong. I was expecting a repackaged T6 Risian Corvette.
Still, kind of a shame to devote so many developer labor hours to creating the Risian event ships only to retire them later. They put a lot of work and effort into them.

I suck so badly at the Risian races... I can handle the Ice race from the winter event any time compared to having to float around and navigate a course in the air...

That's why I didn't invest any time in getting the swimsuits or wetsuits, I didn't see the merit in a costume that can be only used on one map in the game and a map I am never visiting anyway.

I see the Devs didn't learn their lesson from the 90+ pages of feedback about retiring the Risian ships.
None of it was positive comments approving of the choice by the way, the condemnation of the idea was universal.

To stop you from getting the new ship and completing old projects with the new currency on the same toon. You need multiple toons to do more than 1 ship (unless you have it almost done).

Didn't you know? There are plenty of exploits out there to get around that. Are there still Gorn on Drozana in swimsuits? That exploit was reported multiple times in different threads and was never addressed by the devs. Why not? It didn't effect the important metrics I guess. And dude there are plenty of other fantasy MMOS where you can run around as a barely dressed female char, why not go play one of those?
darn, was hoping for a pilot T6 corvette. Well, I guess I'll hold out for a sale or the T6 Defiant for my Delta.
