Login server not loading. Screen will eventually come up after several minutes, but after entering password and Login the system hangs on loading. Patch screen attempts to come up, but place holders to left for activity never load information.
UPDATE: Finally loaded and went fast after the point of loading the Patch, Cancel, and engage buttons. Process took several minutes to reach that point. Recommend checking the login server. Afraid to switch Captains for fear I might have similar issue. Thanks.
I am experiencing the same issue as you, but I do not think this is an issue on STO's side. Rather, there is a problem with Telia as this pathping shows:
This is a recurring issue for me with Star Trek Online, always happening in the evenings CET. Is there any hope of a fix in the future? It makes playing nearly impossible.
Here we go again! Same thing ongoing right now. Server quit responding. Went to load back in and the login never connects. It just shows the flashing bars, but never finishes the login process.
Here we go. Just loving this.
On the login screen:
"The website is experiencing technical difficulties. Normal game play is not affected."
That's wonderful for people who didn't get dropped. Not so much so for those who did get dropped and those trying to get in.
First login was normal, but I got tied up with SNR and was soon dropped. Attempting to login again I'm unable to move past the launcher.

OK, this makes 3 days straight of the same thing happening and I've now noticed it happens at the same time each day. If that's not enough for someone at STO to work with for looking for the cause I don't know what could be.
I have one other person suffering the same effect every day who is located 3000 miles away at the other end of the U.S. whom I'm in constant contact with online.
I had no issues after yesterday's patch but when I get home from work today I can't get Arc to even load and the launcher is stuck at Loading. Please wait

Guys, just a heads-up: I received a tweet from one of the devs. The reason no one has replied yet is because there's an issue with the forum login, & they can't get in to answer. However, they ARE aware of the problem, & are working on it.

Well, here we go again. The servers are overloaded to the "F" degree. I've been kicked ten times in the last 30 minutes from mostly having lost the login connection and then server time outs.
That's it. I give up! I've had it.
The lag is so bad that any movement can actually result in beaming in, performing a collection on a duty officer mission completion, and then seeing yourself beam in where you're already at. Chopped screens that have you showing for the bottleneck taking place and a rubber band that never ends.

I sure hope someone is looking into this, but no one is saying anything about it.
Just tried to log in again and nearly made it after the lengthy attempt. When the failure occurred it had made it to selecting a Captain, but when the login was lost the screen actually displayed for a couple seconds an IP starting with 208. I noticed there was only one 208 server on the above lists. The number 3 node and the final node are at least involved.
Can someone at least tell me they're working on it? Even if it's Broccoli Barkley?

AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!
DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!

I can't get past this. Can we get a Dev to confirm or at least check on the hamsters to see if they have been fed?
Still ongoing issue. The server login once again says,
"The website is experiencing technical difficulties. Normal game play is not affected."
Too bad we have to kicked out just to find out that, "Normal game play is not affected."

IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm in and without delay!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! :):D
That's it.
