All i wanted to hear, that they do know that there is a crowd out there that wants a choice of escorts.
The way i see it all those people in the galaxy thread were also spamming and & or trolling, but yeah point taken, seems some people cant voice their opinion, ill shut up now and just hope the "eventually" isnt 2 years done the road...

I would chime in that more dorsal views of the T6 Andromeda would be welcome. All we got so far are underside shots.
The pics Trendy linked of lady Andromeda weren't lewd enough for ya? They were of her detailed undersides, fore, and aft (many people loved "dat aft").
So, now for the BIG questions. Tier 6 Galaxy Dreadnaught WHEN? Followed by Galaxy Interior WHEN?
Galaxy Bridges are already available but yes as much as it pains me that I have wasted my money upgrading my current dread... I am still curious about the inevitable new one to come.
New Negh'Var? Hell yes. About time this ship got some love. This pretty much solidifies me rolling a new Klink toon for Delta Recruitment.
New Galaxy and D'Deridex? Less so. This sadly shows that the trend of ships we already own being re-released and re-sold to us is going to continue. I fully expect to see a 2410 Defiant before long, mark my words.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
Why am I not surprised that there is yet ANOTHER Galaxy class variant. The Galaxy, D'Deridex and the Neg'var ships are not that impressive to me either.
Not like we have enough versions of the same ships getting a new skin with a trait.
When are we getting a T6 NX refit with the secondary hull, or even the refit of the NX-02 Columbia? Hell, the T'Varo and the T'Varo retrofit needs some love with a T6 viariant.
a t6 NX or Columbia refit wont happen, why? because it wont, hell the ship should have never been brought into the game same as the old enterprise because all there is, is whining for them to be made into top tier ships since their inception.
WE all knew this was coming down the pipe, once voyager had it happen it was a logical presumption so for those that act shocked and surprised/angry that this is happening get over it, the escorts will be next with the pilot skills, however im thinking that these 3 in particular, might be a true hybrid and get a lil of everything, course, ive been wrong before.
I think he caught the meaning of "Iconic" - especially when viewed from the light of an Enterprise fan.
To him, the "triumvirate" of "iconic" / Hero ships is NX / D5 Raptor / T'Varo.
TOS Fan? Connie / D7 / T'Liss
TMP Fan? Connie Refit / K'Tinga / not represented in TMP but should have been BoP.
TNG Fan? Galaxy and D'Dierex are definitely here, but I agree, I though the Vor'Cha was the TNG-KDF, not the Neggy.
DS9 Fan got Defiant and Negh'Var - Rommies just re-hashed their D'D.
Voyager stiffed everyone who didn't like Feds cause they went Intrepid / Villian of the Week...
And what purpose does the commentary of "never should have been brought into the game" serve when the purpose of the gameis to cater to Star Trek fans of all persuasions? I'm sorry that our "desires to enjoy the entire sandbox that is Star Trek Canon" crashes into your "This should have been Star Trek: Post TNG with nothing related to the shows but the name" viewpoint.
Or even a presumed "Star Trek: TNG followup" viewpoint.
I take it you can figure out my persuasion from my sig, however, I find no fault with the TNG fans being taken care of here and given updates to their ship(s). May they enjoy in peace, and may I not panic everytime I see a Galaxy in an STF...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...
To rob a line: [quote: Mariemaia Kushrenada] Forum Posting is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace and revolution continue on forever. However, opinions will change upon the reading of my post.[/quote]
I would like to thank Trendy for giving us all these various pix of the ships from different angles. Before, I was on the fence but leaning towards not getting them.
Now with the new pix, I KNOW I'm not getting them.
Honestly, I cannot put my finger on it but the more I see of these ships, the less I like them. Which is odd since I like the ships these are based on. I'm happy that most folks like them, and that there will seemingly be loads of buyers for them. I just won't be one of them.
Can't please everyone all the time I suppose.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
The Moment is saw the "Tier 6 Iconic Ships" on the Launcher my Eyes nearly Popped out, and now i read half the Thread...well i Like the Pictures....most of them, Esspecially the Galaxy / Andromeda is a Beauty...BUT:
You all should hold back for now, because Nice Design means NOTHING if the Layout of those Ships are TRIBBLE.
If those Ships have a Similar (if not even the same) layout like the Guardian or the Intel Eclipse, in other words Lt Commander Tactical OR Lt Commander Universal, and at least 3 Tac Slots (if not 4), also maybe +10 to Weapons (like the Eclipse)
than i Shall Load my MONEY Rapid Fire III Cannon and Fire at Cryptic / PWIs Bank Account,
BUT without at least the Lt Comm Tac/Universal and at least the 3 tac Consoles they can totaly Keep it, both the Eclipse and the Guardian showed us how a Balanced Cruiser Layout should look like, so i hope they will Continue that Path with the New Ships.
ALSO: like some People allready Mentioned, a Andromeda X would be FRIGGIN AWESOME, that would Finaly Satisfy ALL the Tortured Galaxy X owners ( including ME) who HATE the Fact that the Galaxy X is so totaly Underpowered and WAY to Engineering Heavy. So Please take my Layout Suggesting above, beef it up (more Tacticaly Focused since DREADNOUGHT) give it the Old Galaxy Xses Special Abilitys BUT Updated (better Spinal lance / Shootgun lance with WAY more Accuracy, more Damage and LESS Cooldown) a Dreadnought Typical High Hull Hitpoints, and maybe +15 to Weapons and Shields and the 1 Hangar bay, of course it also should Have Acces to all Parts of the old Galaxy X Including the Venture Skin if owned = TAKE MY MONEY TAKE IT AND GIMME THE ANDROMEDA X :eek::eek:
I know people are complaining about moar Cruisers, but I'm still in favor of a T6 Odyssey Tactical Cruiser and a new model for the aging Sovereign Class. Not only do I wish for Cryptic to make an updated Sovereign model, but I think it would be awesome if Cryptic kicked it up a notch and built the upgraded Sovereign Class that John Eaves designed for Star Trek Nemesis. It never saw the light of day, sadly, but he did design the blue-prints for it.
Either one of those shuttles would be awesome to fly. I also considered maybe equipping the T6 Sovereign with a launchable Captain's Yacht. The Sovereign Yacht can stay a veteran award but the T6 could launch a small combat pet to fight with it. Or they could give the T6 Sovereign a hangar and equip it with either the Type-11 shuttles or the Scoutship. Or they could give you both? Launch six Type-11s or two Scoutships?
Either way, the Sovereign Class has been my favorite Starfleet design since I saw First Contact in theaters. An updated model to make her look more canon would be amazing. The Sovereign and the Odyssey would also benefit from using the Material 7 because all ships would look gorgeous with Material 7.

Fear not, there's bound to be a T6 Sovereign at some point. I can't see them going ahead without it. It'll probably slot in somewhere to replace both the existing Assault Cruiser (Sovereign) and the Battlecruiser (Avenger).
Okay how I said people don't want ships......pfft TRIBBLE that, I want that DD Imagine a DD showing up on the Iconians door, I FREAKING LOVE IT, and the new costume too but damn Iconic T6 looks awesome!!!
My prayers have finally been answered, so all I have to say is, if you are Iconian......

[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] "This planet smells, it must be the Klingons"
Glad these ships are here, they look quite nice. I'll probably end up at least getting the Romulan version, if the layout fits what I enjoy. I still love my Hakonna, but I've been considering upgrading to a Deihu; now I'll wait til this one comes out and compare.
For the Feds, I'll wait to see how the Andromeda stacks up against the Guardian before I decide if I go with one of those for my Engineer and Tac, or just stick with my Odysseys. Give me a science ship other than an Intrepid-variant (I've never liked the Intrepid design), and my Vulcan will be satisfied; otherwise, he'll stick with his Fleet Luna.
On the Klingon side... I might actually go for this Negh'Tev down the line, but I'm still waiting for a dedicated KDF science vessel. Until then, my Klingon will stick with his Fleet Vo'Quv.
Indeed. Those very words are the reason why I didn't have issue with Cryptic not releasing a T6 Galaxy or Defiant when Intel was the only thing. Especially since they already have sufficiently close analogues in the Guardian and Phantom "at that time". Except some people were straight up anal about needing a T6 Galaxy and Defiant right then and there, moreso with the Pathfinder's release.
Now with 2 Primary Specializations going on 3, they can safely release those ships "at this time" without them overshadowing or being overshadowed by similar ships in that lineup.
Because honestly, if they did release an Intel Galaxy and Defiant back when Intel was the only thing, there would be whining and complaining over how they're both inferior to the Guardian and Phantom, and delusional conspiracy theories over Cryptic "deliberately making them worse" to sell their new originals.
I do hope they continue to follow through the other bit of their statement and pad out their Intel and Command Specialist ship lines with more original ships though. At least a Command Escort and Carrier for all factions and an Intel Sci vessel for both KDF and Rom. As well as an Intel Cruiser for Romulans, and an Intel Destroyer for KDF.
I think a T6 Nebula as a Command Science ship would be pretty cool.
What I would really like to see, and I've seen similar ideas on the forums before, is the addition of a new upgrade token to the zen store that allows you to give a T5U ship a hybrid BOff station. It would take the LtC station and convert it into a hybrid station of your choice. Call it T5U+ or something. The token would only work on ships that are already at T5U and would only apply the upgrade on a per ship basis, rather than upgrading your ships account wide. Mostly I'm interested in this as a means of revitalizing the original T5 ship options and making them competitive with the newer ships. A Luna class with an LtC Intel/Sci station would be cool to have, IMO. Or a Sovereign with an eng/pilot station. It was always more or less a pipe dream, though. Especially if they're going to continue making T6 versions of existing ships.
Any news on if there will be a Gal X version of the Andromeda? I've never flown cruisers and plan on making the dive with my Delta Recruit as soon as he's able to fly that beauty. I've always liked the look of the Gal X. Please Cryptic give us a Dreadnaught worthy of Mordor!
Makes me glad I didn't upgrade mine to T5-U. Since now they are T6. If I get around to getting these.
I'm glad to see the new looks on them. And it allows players to make their meet their style. Also happy to see some of the detail got worked out as well. I will check them out when this comes live.
The consul I'm not too impressed. Even with the regular versions I fly now. I have no issues taking out fighters. My ships eat them for a snack. Now we see what the new Boffs seats will be like.
USS Casinghead NCC 92047 launched 2350
Fleet Admiral Stowe - Dominion War Vet.
To date I've bought, 2 sets of T-5, 3 sets of T-6 ships, not counting the 5 I bought from the Lobi store (not cheap at 900/800 crystals) and acquired from events (about 30 ships total), and only 1 or 2 have a Commander Tactical slot and only one has a Tactical Command slot but its not a commander slot. That really bites TRIBBLE.
So until I see some Tactical Commander/Command slot on ships, I'm done spending money on retro, retreads, TRIBBLE lame ships.
Make some damn Tactical T-6 ships with Tactical Commander/Command slots for all 3 factions and I'll buy them.
Not sure why everyone is getting so overly excited; yeah, they LOOK fantastic, but we know nothing of their stats yet and their boff/console layout could make them a bag of nails for all we know at this point.
It's an updated Galaxy model for current ships as well, which to me is at least a plus.
Member since November 2009... I think. (UFP) Ragnar
You know if they released content at the rate the pushed disposable ships on us this game would be brilliant. This game is like a master test of impulse control. "Here buy this new ship!" "Now buy this one!, now buy this three pack!!"
People have a hard enough time putting food on the table these days, or keeping the lights on. We don't have the cash to blow on a video game. One ship in STO is like the price of a tank of petrol in the U.S.

1. One ship for each faction, equal treatment to Rom & KDF, just like the commands.
2. Realistic designs! Unlike some command ships that (to me) look infantile.
3. Wow on the Andromeda. DDeridex has no appeal, need more angles.
4. Fully saturated cruiser market = More room for T6 Science, Flight Decks, Carriers & Dreadnought ships.
Any interiors, please?
I jest. :P
Galaxy Bridges are already available but yes as much as it pains me that I have wasted my money upgrading my current dread... I am still curious about the inevitable new one to come.
To all be then superseded by a Jupiter Dreadnought 3 pack, the Engineering variant with a massive siege lance.
Never. Or maybe someday, once they star LaForge in his Challenger.

John Eave's Sovereign Class Upgrade
In fact, Cryptic could always create a Sovereign Class Bundle or TNG Film Bundle, perhaps in honor of the TNG films. It could come equipped with...
[T6] Assault Cruiser Retrofit (John Eaves' Update)
[T5] Assault Cruiser Refit (Regent Class)
Canon Sovereign Bridge/Interior
Type-11 Shuttlecraft
or
Starfleet Scoutship
