Also, a question about the account rewards of reputation marks:

Are or will they be automatically updated to include the Iconian Marks?

well looks like i will be retiring my current mains if im going to invest time and effort into this delta recruit thing im either "all in" or not at all.

I really hope you mean "retire" as in "put aside/on a shelf for the duration of the event/leveling". Because deleting a character you've put that much effort into is just stupid, IMO. (Especially since they give us a free slot, so it's not like you need to make room for the new guy.)

EDIT - on the other hand:
I guess [you can delete the Delta Recruit later], if you really want to. A lot of character-bound rewards would go to waste, then.

True, sir, but with respect - while the rewards do look very nice (and thank you for finally giving us detailed information on them), many of the character-bound ones seem, to me, to be either expendable (give the stuff to your fleet, and that's it) or of use only while actually leveling the character (all those low-level purples).

Not that everyone will, or should, or that the rewards are worthless; not at all. Just trying to explain why some players, who are happy with the characters they already have and don't really need or want another, might do so.

(No, I'm not trying to make poor Norman blow another fuse with these two statements. Getting to 50 in this game isn't that hard. It's everything else implied by "having a main" that's still, IMO, foolish to just throw away.)

Where do you see that? All I see for getting the crafting school to level 5 is auto setting one to 10 for the recruit (along with Gumarre and 5 other DOffs from rank 1) and equivalent of 5 R&D packs (plus 2 from the rank 1) for all characters.

What kirimuffin did was add all of the rewards together, and came up with the rewards that you yourself saw.

    I second this.

This whole event is beneficial to the player. I love it.

And: kudos for making the account unlocks GOOD.
I salute your effort here, see you when the party starts!

Question regarding the Delta Recruit-only tasks: essentially, how big of a deal are these lore-ish side missions? Since every faction has its own set of early episodes, is there an incentive to create a FED, KDF and a ROM delta recruit?

Or in other words, will I miss much lore-wise if I decide to create a ROM character, and not a FED one? (because we all know FEDs usually get the most dev attention)

Yeah sorry you just have to level one Toon till 50 (NOT 60) ... not that hard ... so I'd rather put another Level 50 Toon on that Shelf (even if there are 10+ Toons on that Shelf already) ...

The event is surely nicely-thought out for new players, so I can imagine there hasn't been a better time to bring your friends, to give them a kick-start. Which is great, and for that, my kudos to the devs.

However, from the position of literally enjoying one character (well, make that two, KDF was rolled just two weeks ago), both from story-wise point, as well as investment in terms of time & efficiency - I have over 20k unprocessed reputation marks on my main. There has been huge requests for XP, and I humbly feel that is quite relevant, for all of us.

A well-established character has no problem getting more reputation marks at all in fact.

I guess I personally would feel more excited about the event, if I could just literally re-create my main and play it as part of different faction, which has always been something I wanted to do; but obviously, the species choice doesn't allow for that. <.< >.>

Not trying to be negative; again, some of these things are really nice, especially for those, who have friends who they can bring to the game or for those, who are looking to make a nice alt-for themselves, and I do know couple of altoholics who'll be thriving and all fidgety for the event to start, and I'm happy for them :D

I think I'm going to start a Tellerite. I rarely see them. I urge everyone to start a Tellerite because it would be fun to see many little Pig-Men and Pig-Women running around Earth Space Dock. :D

Looks like all my questions have been answered but one. Sad there's only the option for a male boff, but he's customizable so thanks for that, calling it a win. My one question that remains is if I were to take the ground equipment pack at whatever level, is it just one of each, or is there enough stuff for the captain+4 boffs?

Multi-choice mark rewards from the Delta Recruit system do not, and will not ever, include Iconian Resistance Marks.

never say never...as with everything that you guys do in STO...things are subject to change.

Yep but I almost fell out of my chair laughing when the word twink being used. Maybe season 4 was the last time actual twinks were made. I deleted like 10 of those twinks when f2p came because they became useless lol.

Anyways from a veteran standing point I'll pass on this sounds like its very little rewards for a lot of time spent which if I'm not interested in this skill point grindfest I'm not really interested in some new alt grind when i've already done it like 40 times over already(most likely you can multiply that by factors of 100's).

At this point as a veteran I'm kinda looking around to see if there is content that doesn't look like TRIBBLE like the foundry but yet is more based on fun to get some kind of fruit for all the grind labor but has not yet happened. What I have gotten is almost no KDF development along side of saying I do not like DR and getting perm ban on my main account lol. Although I was targeted because I've said same thing on this one and yet no infractions so pretty much it was a personal vendetta from someone who can't handle their own shortcomings. Good luck STO you are going to need it lol.

Hehe yep ... I doubt the "Choice of Mark" - Boxes were supposed to give out "Delta Marks", mostly because they were the only Choice who didn't provide "Bonus Marks", during "Bonus Mark Weekend" .. or maybe the other Marks weren't supposed to provide the Bonus ... either way "Never say Never"

You forget that EXCLUSIVE to the Delta Recruit is the Aegis Crafting Doff. Which is already hard to come by.

While it's not a big deal if you already have the purple or white version on some other established characters, for some, this is a big game-changer. Enough so that they could turn their DR into an Aegis crafting mule (and storage mule, among other things).

What exactly are the specifics of the "Delta Vanguard Tech Upgrades"?
    Another straight Universal Tech Upgrade.

3 are available as a one-time deal for an entire account that purchased the Delta Rising Pack. Like the mission reward upgrade, it's universal, has massive Tech points, but ZERO upgrade chance. The DR Pack versions were always account-bound.

As far as the parallel storyline is concerned for playing a Romulan faction character does your choice of Klingon or federation allegiance result in a substantial divergence in the storyline?

Basically how did your choice of allies affect the Romulan Delta recruit experience?

Seams like this will be an interesting and less grinding event. :D

They probably could have saved themselves a bit of trouble by making items given upgradeable for free like the stuff in Uneasy ally. It is the thing I miss from CO, the leveling set one can buy and use up to one reach max level.

Reach Level 1 in any R&D School:
5 random R&D School Specialist Duty Officers and "Gumarre" (the Aegis R&D Specialist)

This is why I feel like this whole delta recruitment thing is an April fool's prank...

Well, i'm not really interested in playing through the story again seeing as I just got my Talaxian captain to level 50, and my other alts probably need the attention more than a new...
ALSO: Photonic Engineering Bridge Officer Candidate (fully customizable!)

    :|

    :O

    You have my attention.

But could we get some more details on some of these rewards? The Devices, for instance - once unlocked, all character can claim them forever? Same with the Boff, who I assume is new and not the same as the existing Lobi or Veteran Photonic Boffs?

Also, Gumarre? Sorry to go negative but wasn't that meant to be for people who put the effort into crafting pre-revamp? Not really fair to just give it away, in my opinion.

    Hi,

All poster are awesome and I liked, I agree with the phrases there.

I like to congrats on all involved in "Uneasy Allies", love the dialogs ( very funny :D ), the maps (I never thought in be back there).

The delta recruit event is good for me, and I like it. :)

    However I have some questions:

. The Reputation bonus token made by a normal character can be use
    by the Delta Recruit?

. The Weekly-event bonus is not clear for me.
    A) Every "week-event bonus" goal is set/announced by Developers?
    and
    B) is not related to "how fast" or "advanced" the player is on the
    levels?

    Example B)
condition week-event-bonus: complete all story arc below level 30.
Player is already 40 and complete all story arcs.
    What happen?

. can explain the "server" mention on "weekly server-wide goals" of
    the post?
related: "server" means "holodec"/"tribble" or is other thing?

. In order to trigger the "weekly" bonus, there are a % of player
must have complete the goal in the week or is related only to
    the player itself?

    Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can continue to unlock/earn rewards on your Delta Recruit indefinitely, so long as they complete the Tutorial while the event is running.

Yeah, it is. Unlock the rewards as your Delta Recruit which you can claim on any other character, even ones made after the event.

I'm afraid I'm having a hard time seeing how that's unclear.

    vs.
In this case, it's a discussion we have already had internally. We want you to claim your Delta Recruit rewards during the event, not sit on them for any reason. So our decision has been made, and won't change.

Doesn't make any sense imho ... but nvm ...
We want people to play more S10 - Content instead, to earn Iconian Marks

-> That would make sense ...

Ah. This is true, I suppose. (I already have two.)

Did they actually make Aegis good/in demand? Last I checked, it was still inferior to/what you use while you're grinding Rep gear. It looks great, IMO, but...

On my mains, I will likely be not immediately claiming my photonic bridge officer, in hopes of an eventual upgrade (like the Android got) to allow me to select sex and possibly class for it. Male only is kinda killer for me on that. It's not a bigger deal for me because the rest of the event has me so psyched that I can see the BOff as a disappointing lagniappe, a la free cole slaw with my excellent burger (I don't like cole slaw), but if "players immediately claim rewards" is the goal, it's been missed with that specific item.

As for the rest? Yeah, grabbing on first login after earning. Complete Undine space set on my current main ahoy!
