"Off the books" interrogation is something even the Federation has done.(See Odo: DS9, Bashir: DS9)
it is completely reasonable mental interrogation is something that has been done.

Look at the questioning blog again.... it says Sela has spoken very LITTLE under her interrogation.... so....

How do we know all that we do already? we certainly don't have "all" the information being provided by your captain questioning her..... and certainly not from that detention interrogator.

It's possible she has been mentally interrogated(somethign we wouldn't be outright told because "off the books") and that the detention interrogation was basically just a "keeping up appearances" ruse.

Go back and replay "What's Left Behind" with a telepath.

What good would that do? You guys made her untargettable as an enemy. I know, because I was trying to shoot her from the moment I saw her until the last bit of dialogue. I'm pretty sure that telepathic skills/traits don't work on a "friendly" NPC.

Tbh i think sela escaping is important because if anyone knows what the iconians are up to and planning it would be her.

I think she escaped to try and stop the iconians alone having no faith in the alliances abilities to stop them since instead of trying to talk to her about the iconians the first thing they did was throw her in irons.

So there is the possibility of sela trying to stop the iconians alone but we later go and assist her i think sela will be a major factor in the outcome of the iconian war.

I think attributing any noble motives to Sela is outrageously wrong-headed.

But that was a questionably-trained touch telepath. We have trained mindhounds who can defeat Undine psi-masters, and that's just KDF side!

Remans can brain-hack people and allow other people to mind-r*pe a victim from hundreds if not thousands of meters away. Betazoids can hold extended telepathic conversations while seducing Ferengi. A trained Vulcan can mind-hack an Undine with apparent ease (or maybe that's just because Tuvok's badass). There are at LEAST two other telepathic species in the Federation alone.

Yeah. Sela's discipline isn't going to hold up.

I basically said the exact same thing just slightly more detailed and without the curse word (after it got filtered in my post, I replaced r*** with assualt. lol)

And I got a one sentence reply. I understand the why. I understand the how. It is just really sloppy and kinda flies in the face of their own previous writing/episodes. And honestly a fellow forum member did a better job of explaining why Sela might possibly be 'resistant' (She shouldn't be invulnerable) to mind control/telepathy.

    Oh and one more thing:

When you mention Gul Dukat are you speaking about the Obsidian Order. bat-TRIBBLE insane, super villain Gul Dukat, who eventually literally became a freaking cult leader, and then a race changing anti-Emissary?

    That Gul Dukat?

There is every chance that the evil wormhole entities set up Dukat from the outset just like the good ones did to Sisko. If you go by that theory there is just no way the worm-hole entities were going to let someone mentally mess with their 'savior'. Much like the ONLY mental domination/control/delusion Sisko was ever under was from the evil wormhole aliens. Even freaking Q got the hell out of dodge when Sisko was around (and knocked him for a loop) .... and never freaking came back again.

And honestly.... it's really hard to try to shoe horn Gul Dukat in as a shining example of anything, since his very existence seemed be the exception to every rule, much like Sisko.

Side Note: I am actually more surprised that mind melding with Dukat didn't actually drive Sakonna insane, turn her completely 'evil', or just outright kill her from even interacting with his twisted psyche. Tuvok mind melded with a serial killer (mind you a potentially psychic one) and it darn near undid him.
What the hell would it have done to Sakonno;s mind if she actually had be able to successfully mind meld with Gul freaking Dukat? I don't even want to think about it... *shudder*

My predictions on how this plays out:

    1. New mission with post-Sela escape. You run into her, team up and do some anti-Iconian stuff that tangentially benefits her. She'll play weak for you, considering she's in a shuttlecraft and you'll have a T5-T6 battle cruiser (I'm not confident she'll get to a command ship in time, and even if she does the best the RSE can scrounge up is probably a D'Deridex).

You'll kill a bunch of Heralds at a secret place and run into a NEW SHOCKING GALACTIC SECRET. She'll get back to RSE space. There's a 33% the RSE Civil War will be followed up on, if it is then she will win it.

    2. You find out that this is all a big ruse by RRI/S31/KI (aka: the only active and cool factions in ST ever since DS9) to fish for more info on the Iconians instead of having her killed off/sent to prison forever in a trial.

    3. There is a 50% chance that this will set up an Episode chain with Heralds as the baddies.

Is she to be captured or killed on sight? I prefer death, that is the only way to deal with her kind

That's the good thing about Sela, she's very easy to hate. That's the kind of bady people want. My Romulan character was desperately wanting to strangle her through out the whole episode.
