The point here is: that person took away our choice of memorial and imposed their own.
And as a fleet officer, Nabreeki, the responsibility falls on you.
I say this as a fleet officer with invite/kick and promote/demote privileges myself; with that power comes the responsibility to enforce proper behavior and respect among fleet members.
And I can tell you that if I heard even a suggestion that one of my fleet members had been implicated in trolling like what westmetals described, I would immediately ask for the character name and/or account handle to be sent to me via PM, and I would log in as soon as possible to bring fleet disciplinary proceedings against the culprit, culminating in immediate expulsion barring extreme and highly unlikely extenuating circumstances.
I never said anyone should get banned or kicked from the game or whatever. Stop attempting to lump me in with those who may have suggested that.
My point was in this particular instance, it would have been nice to show some common courtesy to your fellow players. It's the adult thing to do IMO.
This evening they have been very clear what zone they are in.
Yesterday when there was 1500 of us there all at once... they did in fact keep it as often as we could to zones with like minded people. however with 1500 people and zones that only hold 50 people at a time... some bleed though was bound to happen.
As far as I'm concerned very few people from either side followed people around to different zones... not denying that some may have done that, I am sure it may have happened. However it wasn't the majority of people celebrating... nor where the majority of those morning being RUDE PMing hate messages ect... there was however some of that.
At this point I think we all just need to relex and move on.
I believe Dental and some people of like mind are in 1 this evening... and I hear there is a very EMO get together in zone 3. Head to either if you feel the need.
From my experience the only uncourteous behaviour was directed at those of us who chose to celebrate. If anyone experienced the reverse, obviously that is as deplorable.

I have nothing to apologize for... I went to vulcan yesterday at around 11:30 Central time.. I was one of the first handful of people down there. I commenced celebrating Mr. Nimoy. When asked why I was doing what I was doing I explained to a few people cause I felt why not they asked nicely. They joined me for awhile and celebrated as well.
An hour or so later and we had almost 30 zones filled... and yes we where all mixed all over the zones. Likely there was 1200 or so people there that where in general being pretty quite. There was another 200 or so of us that where celebrating. I make no apologies for that. I'm sorry the way the game works it would have been impossible to take it to our own "corner" of the zone split.
So take your silly fishing for some apology stuff and park it.
Starfleet Dental is run the same as NOP Public Service: Non-intervention from leadership unless member does one of the following: 1. Causes discord within fleet, 2. does something illegal (death threats, etc).
Otherwise, there is no organizational structure. If someone is a problem, they're usually voted out by the majority.

If someone wants to throw a party, then by all means do so... However, there is a distinct difference to throwing a party for a group of like-minded individuals, and going out of one's way to harass and grief others...
No matter how you try and spin this, there is no escaping this fact... The issue is not throwing a party in memory of Mr Nimoy, the issue is intentionally and systematically forcing this 'party' upon others, who did not wish to be involved...
It was beyond disrespectful and not even simple trolling... It was blatant griefing...
