Definitiv right. The only problem is the language barrier... I'm honest, my english sucks (click here for proof) but I know, there are many people whose english is more worse. So, there is a separation between the foundry, but I think we can nevertheless work here in the forum. (funny thing from the german foundry: we don't have that much spotlights, 'cause many of us think 'nah, it could be broke...'. As I know, here is it more like 'omg, my mission is spotlight! wow! thx!' different countries, different views.)
I will? Ehm... secrets... Hundreds of loadingsscreens per map, adjustments about 0.01, hours of working. And flexibility like 'hmmm... the backside of this wallconsole could be used to build white walls (not from me, from benalexander, but you know, what I mean)...
The arboretum was made with 4 giant New romulus-rocks and that stuff.
The Unimatrix are only much twisted transwarpgates and cubes.
And at the other two pictures shoudl speak for themself. While I'm working on my maps, I often have a little Idea (the engine-room was only "much species-tech in one room" and the rest was spontaneously. Looking in the list, see a rock or a console and the thought "hm... I could use this in that way...")
I'm working spontaneously all the time, most times I only planed things like "on this map the player will speak with x and so know that a should be done", how it looks come while I'm building it. No plans, no sketches and stuff like that, only one idea "starbase!" and while I'm working I think "hmmm... there could be a arberetum in the ground"
A little time ago, I've made a time-lapse-Video while I'm build a simple fed-interior: Link
We actually haven't had any spotlights in quite a while. It was Branflakes' pet project and thus far hasn't really been continued by his successors. Trying to get some taken down right now actually to do some updates, which isn't going very quickly.
Well, I can't resist posting some of my creations that are basically all "work in progress". I'm never really satisfied with them and always find things to improve.
The heart of a Borg relais station:
A Klingon Great Hall, disigned to belittle the Great Hall on Qo'noS. Work in Progress, details are still missing.

Just went into the Foundry and found it before seeing the replies here. Wow.
I didn't realize on seeing how it was used that it was actually made using the "Gateway - Borg Chroniton 01" prop. I might be able to find some use for that as well.
With all the other awesome maps posted here, I thought I'd show off the one I was working on, even though it feels a little- underwhelming compared to the other missions here.
Tkanis 38 Surface (Yes, the final version will require an EV suit)

What is that? Quarks Dilithium Swimming Pool on Fereginar??? hahaha

Can't wait to see the Context
Actually, it's supposed to be the lowered landing ramp of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey above a liquid methane lake on a frozen moon, hunting for an Iconian outpost.

This still is an awesome thread.. we need to keep this going. We can't let it Die!
Just waiting for the green pixels to be banished.
Yeah, I have the same problem. It's not so difficult in space if you aren't doing anything complicated. But when you need to build somebody an office? Yeah, pain in the neck.
An new and better terran-base for my Spotlight "Auf der falschen Seite" (and yes, you can fight aganist the ships you see outside throw the window)
<snip awesomeness>
You're making us look bad, farnihr.
You know, what the world says about us germans and work? :P
If you want to do it:
red TOS-carpet
Walls you can see, I think (distance to each other 10.5 and 0,001 on the side to prevent texture fighting)
For the wide stripes on the ground the same object like the sheets in the floor and window
two glas-walls near to eacht other, so it look more like a glaswall
lights! (in the story you must switch to "mode grey" and the lights go out )
That's all, very simple to do, awesome look And, don't forget place objects with coordinates on the second decimal place to let it look perfect (needs a tone of loadscreens, but is it worth...)
A little time ago I've made a video from me building a map like this (to made mirror-fed-looking instead of fed just use the tos-carpet and the other walls): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1mGDXRK6Xk

Well the Good news is that Zero and the Team have Fixed that little bug internally.
Bad news... She said it required changes to over 9000 files so, bundling the fixed files for push to Tribble was gonna take a while.

You will teach me these secrets.
We are not that big and not that productive (ok, before the guys hit me, we are productive...), but are trying

That Looks like the Rotating Borg Portal Component we have From Khitomer Space STF.
Just a Bunch rotate to make a Sphere.
It's a trick where you place a prop, then place half a dozen more each rotated differently. It looks like the time gate from Khitomer Vortex.
EDIT: *assimilates Primar for being a ninja*
