    1) A return to true micro-transactions, not huge ones like we currently have.
    For example i'd love to have the Bellerophron nacelles on my Pathfinder, let me pay say 20 Zen for that single part of the ship to allow me better customization.
    People will still by whole ships for consoles and boff layouts etc but I doubt i'm the only one who would love to pay small amounts for customization options, rather than big lump sums for ships etc that we'll barely use.
    Same could go for uniform parts, a small Zen cost to buy a specific set of boots or whatever you fancy rather than forcing you to buy the whole set, most of which you don't want, making the larger cost a turn-off.

    2) T6 Fleet level ship of the types we've not seen yet (Vesta line, Vulcan D'kyr, all the KDF Orion & Nausican ships etc) plus a chance to upgrade you existing Fleet T5-U ships to full Fleet T6.
    A lot of players were let down by the move to T6 ships and anything to let people jump back in the favourite ships at the high level (which is what fleet level was originally anyway) would be a popular move i'd say.

    3) Better ship and uniform customization options.
    By this UI mean remove the stupid limits on some parts and components. Example: MACO armour can only be silver or blue, allow us a full colour palette of options for it.
    For starship hull patterns, fix the colours so that the colour displayed actually matches what you pick, some of the colours are truly awful and nothing like what the palette displays.

    4) Change the PVE queues to what a lot of people have been asking for (and were asking for pre-DR!).
    Normal - easiest, low rewards, easy NPC's biggest timers or none at all, no optionals - essentially a training run.
    Advanced - hard, bigger rewards, special items (BNP's etc), optionals to allow for better rewards, toughter NPC's and lower time limits. Knowledge of the mission required, teamwork required in the most basic sense - essentially what the old elites were with perhaps some minor NPC HP buffs.
    Elite - true elite missions, knowledge of what to do essential, build quiality needs to be high, teamwork essential. Highest rewards but punishing failure conditions and time limits. Only the best need apply for these. Newbie players will fail.

    I'm not a fan of PvP, but here are my ideas for an overhaul:

    PvP wargames hub, located in the Delta Quadrant sphere, lets say it's a massive and hi-tech holodeck designed to simulate the invasion of the entire galaxy to the smallest detail, but the alliance discovered it while exploring the sphere and now they use it to simulate wargames and training exercises.

    PvP basics:

    • It'll not affect PvE at all, PvP gear will be restricted to PvP areas.
    • It'll have its own balance, gear and ship stats will be different while playing PvP, for example, a ship that has 36k hull could have 40k or 30k, some mods might be toned down or up, etc.
    • Once you exit the PvP area all stats will be restored to normal.
    • To facilitate PvP there will be restrictions until all gear is rebalanced and new PvP gear is created.
    • You get a free PvP loadout (skill and gear), which will be automatically loaded when entering the PvP area.

    Restrictions (temporary, until PvP gear is introduced and PvE content is rebalanced):

    • Only basic ships, no lockbox, event, fleet, lobi or zen ships.
    • Only basic gear, no R&D, lobi, fleet or reputation gear allowed.
    • All gear is levelled automatically (and temporarily) to mk XIV, gear above very rare will be downgraded to very rare.
    • All traits removed from both captains and boffs until PvP traits are created and PvE traits get rebalanced.

    Arena:

    • Space and ground arena with no rewards or objectives, all vs all, meant to test gear, builds, ships, or just to have fun causing chaos and mayhem.

    PvP battleground:

    • A massive battleground with space and ground combat.
    • 2 bases in space and 2 bases in the ground.
    • Territory control based map, never ending war.
    • You can fight your way in space controlling different territories, like steroids, star bases, junkyards, etc.
    • You can take an small craft and fight in the skies of the planet, or bombard ground positions.
    • You can land and fight in the ground.

    Instanced PvP:

    • Similar to the one we have now.
    • Rewards PvP marks, can be used to buy PvP gear and traits.
    • PvP modes: capture the flag, deathmatch, attack-defense, point capture, king of the hill, playload escort, etc.

    Other:

    • Leaderboards

    No, I'm referring to the gaps in power that have been introduced. The gaps in equipment, the fact that a new player who starts the game today will never be able to catch up to my level unless he employs one of those power-leveling websites to run his character 24 hours a day.

    More story content, something actually playbable, not just sliders and buttons. And lots of it. Maybe a true FE series again, maybe about something not related to the main storyline ? :)

    1. STO needs better GMs. Currently there is very little law and order in the game.
    2. PvP - fix Neutronic, reinstate the trinity so engineers are more useful, and of equal importance in teams.
    3. Reduce the level grinding, spec tree grinding. Or increase EXP rewards from episodes and patrol missions.

    That's right you KDF types... I play a Fed character usually but I think the KDF are neglected to a bizarre degree.

    You'll get no argument from me. I think though, from the get-go Cryptic should have sat down and said "right, we're going to create this game from two (or three) different perspectives, FED & KDF (and maybe ROM). From that point on, it should have been equal across the board, regardless of where the playerbase might be. I get that you're always going to get more FED players (this is Trek) but a lot of it is because Cryptic focus on the FED - and players aren't stupid, if they know where the toys are, that's where they're going to go.

    Whatever other ships/factions they want to release, be that Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion (etc) they could have done in mini missions or something rather than mini factions (which, long-term, don't work).

    While I have to say that the story content in DR was very good I would like to see more content being added like new sectors to explore etc.. But its good that there going to be releasing the new bridge officer training system..

    1) Bug Fixes

    2) Balancing between different styles of play so it is not just a DPS fest.

    3) Smarter enemies that use more tricks against players. I would love to see some enemies that used drain builds, enemies that had gravity well torpedo builds, healers and tanks that work together etc.

    4) Removal of required optionals on advanced queues

    5) Some way of gating access to advanced and elite queues. I am not really fond of any kind of DPS meter but I am tired of people doing < 1K dps in advanced or elite queues and with multiples of them the STF is basically a failure every time. I use a sarr theln drain build (about 11K right now) so my dps is not very good and even that is still easily enough to do these STFs.

    6) Less focus on tactical captains as the only way to do space and engineers as massively overpowered on the ground. This game needs some serious balance.

    7) More accolades that have an impact on your character. I would actually like to have all the accolades for kills, damage done, damage taken extended so you can gain greater bonuses and greater resistances over time. Maybe something like for every 10M or so damage taken from a particular damage type you gain .1% resistance or something.

    8) More ways to customize and level up a ship. I like the idea of the current ship mastery stuff but we have so many cookie cutter designs at this point. It would be nice to see you spend more time in a ship and get better at it as you use it more. Put more points into various aspects of the ship etc.

    Foundry overhaul:

    • Once every month some foundry content becomes official content and is added to the game, creators are awarded something for their efforts.

    Foundry get better categorization:

    • Search by author
    • Follow author (you get a mail if the author releases new content).
    • Ability to recommend foundry missions to friends.

    Favourites (custom categorization):
    • Friends can see your favourites if you enable that option.
    • Ability to leave a personal comment and tags only you or your friends can see (if enabled).

    Standard categories:
    • Ground/space/both (all must have this basic tagging)

    Subcategories:
    • Patrols/exploration
    • Single mission adventures
    • Campaigns/episodes
    • Other

    Voting:

    • People can vote what content they want to see added in game, every month some missions are added, which can add more diversity to patrols and can be used to bring back exploration clusters with handcrafted missions instead of random repetitive stupidity.

    Sharing:

    • Authors can choose to share resources like scripts, modified enemies, characters, etc.

    I would personally like more of the Delta missions to not be solo and also able to use all my bridge officers for missions.

    I play alone or with my girlfriend and it sucks when I cant do the missions with her. I end up having to watch her screen and guide her through it instead of being a part of it with her. Kinda like doing it twice on my end.

    I really miss my bridge officers. I go hang out on Nimbus just so I get to use them :(

    Maybe it was said but I'll post it. Be nice if Romulans had more T6 science ships. Especially Romulan/Fed players who just sit on the sides with a T5-U science ship while Fed players have nearly a half dozen T6 science ships to pick from. KDF also needs some science love in that regard. You'd never see anything like this in a game like WoW. There would have been a forum war if Blizzard ever released a new Tier of gear for only Horde or Alliance.

    Well I want no more dilithium cost PER upgrade unit on gear. That's absolutely highway robbery.

    Second, all these bugs floating around that no one has taken care of should take absolute priority before any other concern including boxes.

    Third, they need to apologize to the population and restore all previously nerfed systems of progression in every zone with currency and xp and restore this game to where it was prior to the Dilithium Rising expac.

    And finally, the need to get new improved management in here so that in the future when another expac comes out it will actually be handled competently.

    Then and only then will they get me back.

    Some moar!!

    Foundry:

    1. Some generic alien lifeforms from TOS, ENT, VOY, DS9, NGN, ground and space as contacts and NPC groups.
    2. Some artifacts/ objects from the above.
    3. Some additional creature options like the scorpions on New Romulus.
    4. Code for [Faction] like one can used with [Rank].
    5. Adding music files
    6. Adding cut-scenes.
    7. Ability for players to add rewards to the Foundry missions for a dilithium charge, or the option to select with the mission rewards Dilithium or marks.

    PvE:

    1. More missions like the Mirror Universe Event - Thats a lotta fun!
    2. Have events like the above focusing on the other events like Big Dig etc.
    3. Allow some kind of holiday destination like Winter Wonderland, and Summer thingy to be available throughout the year - I'm thinking Andoria for some crazy reason.
    4. Exploration Zones + Foundry

    Characters:

    1. Add specializations costume options.
    2. Add new class (ie. tac, eng, sci.) unlocks based on race.
    3. Careers like Resistance Fighter (Marquee), Smuggler (Ferengi), Pirate (Orion) etc. Perhaps these can just be a sub-class at a certain level unlocking some new skill abilities. A little like traits except unlike passives, these are additional abilities ONLY that species has.
    4. Revisit the playable species not included in LoR

    Social Zones:

    1. Qo'noS - please add some plants! There is not a single plant on the entire planet!
    2. SOL - add more planetary facilities like the academy e.g San Francisco!

    PvP:

    1. Tournament Feature: Similar to the Fleet feature whereby players can run tournaments within STO, and the match scoring/ registration etc would take place within the game. This would be the source of many great events!

    Systems:

    1. Unbind tokens.
    2. Gift cards of marks, fleet marks, dilithium, zen.
    3. Background music theme selector. Like the interface options just you can select the music to play.
    4. More quality voice acting - Its really getting better!
    5. Some randomization of the doffing pickups per sector to include some new and unexpected options.
    6. Sector space - something needs to happen here was it serves no point right now.
    7. Better idea for entering / exiting planets or social zones and there amount of ships hanging around the entrance make it difficult to move.

    - A far better set of filters for the Foundry UI. Which allows one to exclude the farming missions.
    NOTE: I don't object to some players wanting or needing this type of mission. I just would prefer to not see them or have to wade through lots of them to find missions I'd prefer to play.

    - A Special Event which features the Foundry.
    - A Poll where selected Foundry Missions get elevated to Featured Episode status.
    - An IP Address ban for gold sellers which works.
    - More visible and far more active ingame GMs.
    - More human less automated Customer Support.

    Make space ship traits account wide unlocks, this would give people more reason to buy other faction ships.

    Add more ship specific mechanics example: give two hanger Carriers fighter attack patterns, their carrier commands are cool but they don't have any mechanics of their own, while dreadnoughts and science ships have their own special features. Having another hanger bay is hardly a extra. Having the ability to at least soft counter aoe's as a full carrier would be god send considering much of their damage comes from them.

    I would also like to see destroyers and raptors rebalanced along with a few other Klingon ships. Perhaps add another weapon slot to the back of destroyers ? making them a 4/4 heavy escort.


    Better tool tips, merge unneeded tabs, simplify some of the overbearing UI.

    Reduce the need for macros/tedium, either by adding the ability to re-balance selected shield facing indefinitely till selected not to or add autocast to some abilities.

    Add 3 special console slots that we can use some of our interesting c-store/lock box consoles in without hurting our main stuff. Basically most of the consoles that are level less.

    A special wish list add, let there be a button we can press to unleash the saucer and the Aquarius raider at the same time.

    i really like this thread. very constructive and consists a lot good ideas.

    This is my 3 point wishlist

    1) First of all: Stable server connections again for all players

    2) Proper PVP in Arena:
    - disable all universal, reputation, lobi & zen consoles
    - disable starship space traits
    - disable spezializations

    - disable reputation traits
    - disable character traits
    - disable doffs

    3) more interesting (challenging) endgame content
    as said before: 5x dps >>>> anything else is pretty boring

    at least add elite versions of infected, cure and khitomer space and fix existing bugs in korfez and vicious cicle

    Ultra-rare or epic set obtainable only as loot in the advanced and elite STF.

    Weapons with special mods exclusive to the looting system

    Balance between the differents Equipment's MOD, especially weapon mods (Raise a lot the power of [Dmg] and a little more [CrtH], etc....)

    Re-working of equipment (R&D project to alter a single MOD in a single piece of gear, even with a Dilithium-based Fee, max once per gear)

    Extention of the old "set" Shield-deflector-engine with a new warp- or singularity core; eventually set with (frigade??) carrier pets and secondary deflectors as part of the sets

    Introduction of other "class-exclusive" ship equipment, in par with secondary deflectors (targeting computer for escort, Destroyer cannons for destroyers, comm arrays for cruisers, etc...)

    I'd quite like to be able to do any patrol I want in the game and have it pay out the same XP/SP at the end. Attempting to manipulate or "encourage" players to only do Delta Quadrant patrols isn't nice. We aren't rats in a maze, we're customers.
