True. But if they keep like they have been, the new episodes will be locked to level 60, which means that to even do it, you will need to do the slow grind to level 60, if you are not already there.
If they would come out with more stories to fill the level gap between the episodes, that would be awesome. But I would be willing to give up one or two new episodes myself for more places to explore in the ships.
We have never been able to see the entire inside of a Breen ship, or aquatic carrier. So I would be awesome to see what they can do with it. But, I do play around on my ship more since DR than ever before. Lol.

I think it rounds out to around 250 Lobi to get the ship - which compared to other Lobi ships is damned cheap. Your mileage varies based on your luck, of course.

Hard to say, I usually get a lockbox ship out of every type of box..... I'll have to test the race and see if I can bring myself to do it so many times. But I did finish the last Miroor event on 12 characters, so...
So, it seems lo look even worse than I expected based on the winter ornament.
Please make the old Sarr Theln available. All it needed was a little polish, not rebuilding. The less so seeing the end result of the rebuilding.
And stat wise, I'm a bit confused: Given the 11 console slots, I guess they're going for Fleet Tier 6 level (that makes sense, it's same as current Lobi/lockbox ships, same as previous Breen ships were on the same level as previous Tier 5 Lobi/lockbox ships), but given it's a Science carrier (only 6 weps, subsystem targetting, it's got relatively low hull and shields.
The Fleet Atrox beats it in both hull and shields, same with the Recluse. The Fleet Vo'quv and Adv. Obelisk have a lot more hull, although less shields. The tac carriers all get one more front weapon: Narcine has both slightly less shields and less hull, but a lot more turn. The Jem Dread has slightly less shields but actually more hull even.
Well, OK, it seems carriers in general are very badly balanced. Still, I'd think this Sarr Theln could get some more hull at least.

The other ships directly from the Lobi store are 600-900 each, so 250 to get a T6 Fleet level carrier is a bargain if you are comparing apples to apples. Of course, free is better if you can wait.

I only had about four characters last year, and after getting the Breen Raider on all of them, I kept doing the race. I have nearly 600+ of the autographs left on two characters. I am hoping that I can save up at least 600+ on the rest of my characters this year. I have 13 of them.
I want a stock pile because we never know if we will loose the discount for getting the ship on other characters. I want to try to be prepared. Lol.

Let me guess if I got the new blog update right, did they say that if you get any Breen ship then it costs only 40 Q's photos to get it for your other characters? so you can get all ships for 1080 photos per character if get 1 different ship per character.

EDIT, sorry misread that. I would still assume the answer is yes, that's how it works for the Jem'Hadar pets.
No big deal though if you have one spare ship slot - run the race once, get the ship, unpack it, buy the pets, delete the ship. Nobody in the right mind would do that with a Bug, but here it should work fine.
Huh, I might actually give the Carrier a go. I for one like the new design, plus the stats seem quite flexible, especially for a carrier.
Still, I'm not impressed by the Hangar Pets, nor by the console set bonuses. Not to mention, the fact that the Starship Mastery Trait is only viable for carrier ships is yet another downer for KDF and ROMs, who desperately need some new T6 ships/traits that would compete with the OP FED ones.

Correct. You can even stockpile the boxes if you want, in case you want to delete it at some point and get it back without waiting for December again.
I LOVE the new design. It looks way more Breen than the old, and it's a logical step up from the Chel Grett. I look forward to seeing what they do with the Rezreth next year!

With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.
I actually like the new look fo the Sarr Theln better, at least from the limited views we have of it so far. It really comes down how it looks Aft for me, as that's how I'm going to be viewing it most of the time.
The BOff layout I'm still working out how to best leverage. It seems light on Engineering, particularly if you slot Intel stuff in the Hybrid slot.
I wonder how much weapon power drain reduction the console three-set will give, if it's on par with the reduction that the Mogai two-set has, it'll be impressive slotted into the Warship or Raider.
I've got 400-some Q-pics on two characters, so I can grab both the Sarr Theln and the Plesh Brek on those to char and have everything unlocked fairly quickly since I got the Chell Grett the first year.
Question: We need the Carrier and the Frigate to unlock the Hangar Pets, but do those hangars work with other Carrier ships, or only on the Breen one?
Based on Jem carriers, I'd say the fighters will likely work on any ship, but the frigates will be exclusive to that ship. All frigate hangars so far have been exclusive to one ship (and it's variants, such as Fleet and T5-U), but most fighters can be mounted to any carrier once unlocked(only exception coming to mind is the pets the Atrox can field).
The carrier - I really have no intention of flying it (atm) and didn't particularly want to grind for it. But my boys both have Breen ships and I'm sure one or both will want it. I'll probably run the Event with them.
I'm also sure I have some spare Q-pics left over on at least one of my characters and no reason not to use them and complete the set. I might run the race a few times and supplement with Lobi if need be.
I wonder... do raider pets get the flanking bonus, too?

Don't think they do, Bluegeek - at least, my Ferasa's BoP Hanger Pets never did. I think it's because the game registers them as 'Hanger Pets - Frigates', not as 'Raiders'.

Because at this point it's unlikely we'll somehow be able to use the true, original Sarr Theln look on this ship, may I ask for it as an alt skin at some future point? Pretty please. Whiel I'm at it, don't forget to add the Risian interior to Risian ships, best allowing swimwear and possibly with the cruiser having at least another room with a swimming pool.

Hmm looks like it'll be replacing my carrier specialists' Kar'fi. Good trait though, and imagine combining that trait with the traits from the Guardian and Dauntless Fed-side. Two questions though:
First, no mention of the Breen warp core?
Second, the Plesh Brek pets don't have tractor beams? Thats like the main ability the NPC ones use.
Breen core was yesterday. It's not part of the ship, but a reward you get for trading in Winter stuff. Not much specs on it beyond it having a weapons capacitor and provides a 'major boost to Power Transfer Rate' and the four-set Breen being cryo-plasma (EWP basically). http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9007963 near the bottom.
