If you don't believe what Cryptic said on the issue, there is nothing that Cryptic could possibly say to convince you that a Constitution Refit will never come and that CBS is against it.
They could name a specific person at CBS and present the excerpt of an official e-mail between CBS and PWE or whatever, and you could say: "It's fake":
The only way you would shut up would obviously fullilling your request for a Tier 6 Connie.
I see your strategy. It reminds me of when my sisters were still very young and would occassionally scream if they didn't get what they wanted so long that it seems they had stopped breathing... But I don't think Cryptic has any motherly, brotherly or fatherly instincts toward you.
You (claim ) cryptic said that CBS said this ............And like cryptic you offer no proof of even what cryptic said nor does Gecko come in and say it
So you said they said that they said as a fact............
Fanboism.............. at its best
I still maintain the popular ships like the Enterprise class heavy cruiser,,Correct name not the cryptic name
The Nebula Galaxy intrepid will always be 2nd place ships because if they were competitive a huge portion of the Fed playerbase would buy and use those ships and ignor anything that cryptic makes themselves
I know for a fact I would
Because those ships ARE star Trek not these poor excuses for a starship they churn out

If people don't believe Cryptic to begin with, they aren't going to believe any statement Cryptic says they got from CBS. And they aren't going to believe anyone claiming to represent CBS that posts on the forums either.
Well, Cryptic has been caught in a web of lies on multiple ocassions throughout STO's history therefore their words regarding something don't hold much credibility to many people. But that's their and their PR's problem.
If they post a blog with a statement from a CBS representative (let's say from Citters for arguments' sake, I don't know if he's still in charge of this or someone else) that is signed from that particular person just as our devs sign their names at the bottom of blogs, people will have to believe. Because if it's not true, Cryptic could be sued by that person for publically posting missinformation on his behalf. So people will see it and either take it on with CBS (good luck with that:rolleyes:) or just shut up, finally properly closing this endless Connie debate.
And if Cryptic had CBS's approval they'd be selling endgame Connies already.
There's no way Cryptic would let the Connie goldmine go untapped for 5 years if they had permission.
Maybe they are waiting for Tier 10. They can sell the Tier 10 Constitution for 8,000 Zen, and then stop supporting the game, retiring it a year or so later.
Though that would be short-sighted - they should create a version of every Tier, and each upgrade could cost a 1,000 Zen. They updates would be rolled out over 12 months or so, and each update would add some customization option and a special console to "justify" the cost. And each new tier of course adds another variant.

To be fair at what point have I beat the dead horse in this thread? That is to say at what point have I agreed with the OP and asked for an end game refit connie? Just because I think he should be allowed to discuss the topic here on the official STO forums without the interference of the 'CBS said No' white knights doesn't mean I agree with what he is discussing.
If people want to go around beating dead horses I have no problem with that, doesn't mean I go around beating dead horses.
Stop right there. I don't give a damn about fair. The forum rules explicitly state "no endgame Connie threads". End of discussion.

We have a Wrath of Khan costume set. We have a TOS costume set. We have a TOS bridge that can be purchased in the c-store. We have a TOS bundle. There is no reason not to have a Constitution or Exeter T6 ship. None. Time lines do not matter in STO. If the customer wants it, they should have it.
It doesn't matter what the anti-T6 Miranda and Connie crowd want, say, think or believe about this subject. This game is for all the player base, not just you. As long as the items the customer wants corresponds with the Star Trek style and history, it should be in game.
The facts above are the only thing that matter. Now, this the end of the discussion. Here endeth the lesson.

Consider this, If the Connie crowd obeyed the rules the "white knights" wouldn't be able to post in threads that were never created. :P Dead horses don't get beaten unless there's idjits swingin sticks.

You forgot the part before that when the subject in question wasn't part of the FCT and as such every time someone tried to start a discussion about it the 'CBS said No' white knights would come along derail the thread with talk of beating dead horses, usually leading to a flame war, this caused the thread to get closed and because this is a popular topic (why else would it come up so often) threads were being closed often enough for it to be added to the FCT.

And that makes the rules any less the rules ... how, exactly?
Endgame Connie is never happening. Further threads on the topic are explicitly prohibited. End of discussion.

Can I borrow your DeLorean, because you've clearly been to the future to be in a position to know that something is NEVER going to happen! Just because something is highly unlikely to happen doesn't mean it will never happen.
Also FYI, unless you're a moderator, saying 'end of discussion' doesn't mean the discussion is over.

You can borrow my delorean but it can't time travel anymore since I upgraded to a flying time traveling train.
Sorry but the idea that the Connie crowd would finally shut up if CBS made a statement addressing this topic on why they keep saying "No." strikes me as wishful thinking.
I agree they probably wouldn't shut up, but one would hope they would redirect their efforts, towards convincing CBS to change their minds, rather than bugging Cryptic/PWE all the time.

In this case I can sincerely say that if it was ever going to happen, it would've already happened. And I don't need a flying DeLorean, a stargate and a solar flare, or even a warp drive and a stellar gravity well to tell you what the forum rules are. I can just link you to this thread conveniently placed at the top of the forums.

End Game Constitution Class ship
The answer to the T5 connie ship has been a no for 4 years and that answer comes from CBS. As such, there will not be a T5 constitution class ship in STO. This also means that any version of the ship will not be available as an End game ship. Exert from a Q&A with DStahl & from the livestream by Smirk -
Q: (thmichael) Are you going to implement the Ambassador Class at some point? And would it be possible to implement the Old Constitution Class for higher ranks?
Dstahl: Yes. The Ambassador class is coming in 2013. CBS is still pretty adamant about the Old Connie not being an end game ship, but you never know what can happen as time rolls by.

I would love something along the lines of like the Exeter class. I would love to have a traditional Connie with a 1960s kind of bussard collector on the nacelles, something that is really big and powerful, like if you gave the regular constitution class a "grow mushroom" from Mario Bros and it just got big and super OP. I would love that but its not going to happen. There will not be a T5 Connie.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
Keep telling yourself that, because everyone else is still discussing.
Actually, you're discussing. Everybody else is telling you to stop digging your own grave.

^NO, and STOP asking for a ridiculously OLD ship to be T6. We have other ships like the Jupiter Class and Tahoe class to look forward to for T6, not some ship they should stay part of the beginner ships.
Yea! We've got enough OLD ships at T5 or T5U already! :P

Thank goodness you made that clear, I'm sure no one will ever start another thread on this topic now!
Well, if Cryptic went back to handing out Infractions and Bans for breaking forum rules the threads would certainly die down over time.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
